Radar is locking targets that I have no intension to lock. Targets that are getting locked are close (2-5km) and OFF the TDC scale/Line, even with the TDC ranged at well beyond the close target (which in the occusion is my lead or a close friendly) I still lock the close one. Below are the two trk files that represents that. 1st one is when I have 2 bandits 12 o'clock 20km. 1-2 km at 11 o'clock is my lead. The TDC is ranged at the bandits. I press lock and I suddendly see that the target is offset to the left of my nose and really close. As I didn't had much time to proccess the incident, I fired and I shot down my lead. 2nd track same mission same situation, but this time after radar is warmed up, you can see me testing the radar bug. Target is getting locked far away form the TDC no matter the range off the TDC and in many situations without the contact being displayed. Aslo you can see on the second track that I replicate that many times after the fight above tuapse and while we are traveling to sochi. Target is getting locked just because I press the Lock Button. Locked and unclocked(Loose Lock) same time and in various times where the target is on my scope but I cant locke him. And after that, all off a sudden radar works again us intented. No random Locks and or the target is getting properly locked when in range. Please evaluate the radar code. Radar is working great in many situations but getting locks away form the TDC is making Radar a threat to friendly targets and should not be the case. https://1drv.ms/f/s!Ar3g7DvN5ZPdhh8lGcfrVV-YDuAG https://leatherneck-sim.mantishub.io/view.php?id=381

[CLOSED] Slanted side view when using TiR in latest 1.5.4. OB.
BadHabit replied to Art-J's topic in View and Spotting Bugs
I use facetrack noir with facetrack protocol v1,7 works like a charm. The better the build the better it ecperience Mig-21 Headbutter -
Look guys another professional coder/pilot/engineer. Why don't you make your own FM or even model. Go to github they will help ;D Mig-21 Headbutter
-
There is nothing wrong with the FM. Post #212 shows yes a bug but it is not related how the aircraft behaves on normal, critical or supercritical regimes. Physics and all the wrao about aerodynamics are code in code wraped by an coded engine. Shit happens. I would bedamned if any of us will try and fly like this on the usual whatever type mission you fly on average. The plane is awesome, it's complex has s great learning curve. A supreme flying experience and the "it stays on hangar" bugs are over. Haters gonna hate. Bye bye Mig-21 Headbutter

What is wrong with the FM?? Mig-21 Headbutter

There is a solution on the original thread about that. It's really sad tho to watch so many great mission\campaigns getting crippled so much with every patch. People are committing valuable time on such projects for the rest of us and the are literally discouraged by the those situations. Mission design even on its simpliest forn is not easy at all. Joystick Jerkyness

Wish I could help mo.re. Search on thrustmaster forums and tech support for similar issues. I don't use virtual drivers thus they did created probs for me. You don't really need them tho in dcs try to clean them from your system Mig-21 Headbutter -
Downgraded R-60 and R-73 AA missiles?
BadHabit replied to Winston 60's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
Are you guys sure it's just the missiles? To me looks like that values like notch and idle on engine are boosted. Ex I was fighting some f-5s, on the vertical and closing on their six, fox2 would miss almost every time cause the adversary would go idle while on the top off the climb. The missile made a quick bracket outside the plane and overshoot..all other times even with a defending adv I would hit. All these against AI. Mig-21 Headbutter -
Joystick Jerkyness

Did you check the PC/PS switch on the back of the stick? Else you could try a calibration software from thrustmaster page. I have the same stick and no issues 3 years now. Mig-21 Headbutter -
Terms like "your not supposed to" or "only used" , I don't get it..Most fighters now days use computing systems that calibrate the pilots inputs so yes they don't need to, propably cause the computers do those tiny adjustments. 2nd and 3rd generation fighters didn't had those helpers..Rudder is as important as any input in flight. Most people don't really understand the use of the rudder either on prop ACs or Jet engine Acs, me included thas I started reading about it. Here is something that really helped me get the points http://www.empire-aviation.com/flight-instructors/john-e-mclain/understanding-the-use-of-rudder.html .

Yeah I do cause they gave me the Mig-21 and I will love Razbam when they'll give me A-7E. :pilotfly: However judge the F14 when you have it on your hands. Mig21 is no way to comparison and for a first job on DCS from LN you think they did a bad job? Set up a good ambush and all the missiles work like they should :D
-
There is nothing to compare between mig-21 and f14 and what bugs or problems do you encounter. I really found the new patch very successful. Mig-21 Headbutter

From my end, everything is perfect every AC I tested inlcuded the Mig21 is working fantastic. Even Tracking is in great shape unlike in OB. IR is wokring fine no wide FOV. I really don't understand why so many people are having all these probs. The change in lighting systems from EDis a bit pitty but form any other aspect i'm really happy I can't complain anymore! GJ LN!

Partially yes. Are you going to implement other functions like Auto Dispense and other jamming patterns and modes? PS: The panel lights are staying on even if the power switch is switched off. Same goes for other light signals.
-
I really appreciate how you react with the community feedback. Even if I don't yet own a module from yours Razbram I fully trust your team. Mig-21 Headbutter

All these are either tough too shoot down aiframes or really big for such small warhead. These can survive hits even from bigger missiles or SAMs. The A-10 is an attack aircraft able to sustain lots of damage from ground and air. and the others are just to big. There is nothing wrong with the missiles.

Thats my point  This discussions should be kept in a study level and not asking for such complicated things in a simulation that servers gameplay :pilotfly:
-
All these are great discussions and people who know to produce these discussions are really appreciated. But how far can DCS and 3rd party devs go and how much code they need to type in for all the parametres to take place and work as they should as far as gameplay concern? My poor opinion is that in situations like these instead we push the devs to simulate something that complicated we should let them come to a simple and logic solution that we will accept and understand the simple fucntionallity and not struggle with replicating everything. Radar signals in DCS atm are simple and RWR will go that way too.

Watching and reading the bug reports all over the forum the last days makes me thinking about the update on release v. Are the problems you encounter going to stall the update on release?? Mig-21 Headbutter
-
For PRMG to activate you will have to meet first glide slope parameters. john made a great review on that. [ame] [/ame] I assume your are not reporting a bug..Cheers

Lovely!

People! Let's stay patient a bit more, until ED pushes the updates. Then it's all back to the fun of testing once more and the "swords" to be dueled again :P

How about study the manual ? ;) Mig-21 Headbutter

And after that something a lot better :) Mig-21 Headbutter
