  1. copy ok so actually im overwriting the first dds file with mine and then i put it in game by the lua script. But what about the edm file. do i need it for some reason ?

  4. Instead of comparing with the real thing you guys should start comparing with other Sims. Real life is no t a measure, realistic however is.   6. Use CC solutions rather than Gyro. Do dive bombing runs play with your payload delivery, practice with it. You may also use manual asp settings, even tho we don't have a table for the weapons you can repeat on practise same types. I use for bombing the 4x100 fab and find it pretty easy to bomb. Also bare in mind that the bis is not and never meant to be a fighter bomber aircraft. It uses same tatctics as WWII planes. Mig-21 Headbutter

  8. What i came up with (in the current version) is that radar type is that makes the RWR warnings telling you to go defensive. If you close distance to less that 5km mig vs mig or a missile is launched you get the warnings. So RWR as i understand it now will estimate the threats ability of range and will worn you.

Same here..noticed that you do not get the LA parameters from the radar, Upper Vertical red line that indicates that your are in range for the SAHR MSL and lower Vertical Red Line that indicates that a SAHR MSL is selected, armed and ready only until you fire the first one. Also i haven't stumbled upon anything that speaks of that the missile cannot be launched above it's DLZ.

  12. I confirm the same numbers vs human also. But vs su 27 while I see strobes as close as 10km I can get dist and stt lock. Mig-21 Headbutter
  13. Gave it a try vs AI Mig. The f15 will burn the jammer at 35-40 miles and the 27 at 40 km with stt lock about 20km. Will try vs Hunan when available.
  14. What position to you use. I was in an F-15 we tested numerus compinations and i never saw nothing. long or short range..
  15. For all i know "Active" means that the jammer is emmiting noise to radars and "passive" should be chaff dispense for defence against fired upon or to loose lock. My only guess is that one of them is defense against Air threats and the other is SAM. This thought is coming from the A-10C jammers which has 4 mods (Air,AAA,SAM1,SAM2). I did a lot of tests both against AI with AIM7 and Hawk system and also with my buddy. AI Aim7 looked like i could survive 4 simultaneously launches just by flying straight and small altitude changes (ofc it could be random luck, but on the tac view seemed like the lost track easy). I cannot tell how the Hawk systems rly work. But they could launch at me from 30km distance with no rly effect, at 15km i was dead with no hard maneuvers. I did not see those work when i was in the f-15 against my buddy in the mig. 95% AIm7 would track and kill form ranges < 10miles. However flying in 104th server last night( OP.BIson no Aim120). Did not ate a singe missile while i got chased a lot. I use Active,progrm 1, impulse. then manual dispense and single (Since auto dispense doesn't work). And i see my jammer online and the signal red light blinking (ofc these doesn't mean anything is working). Overall i am not a tech and i am not aware of the proper numbers the manual is extreme laconic and LN did not gave us a single line of changelog so everything is random in my opinion. EDIT: The SPS-141 pod was made to defend air crafts from HAWK batteries and Sparrow AIM7 missiles. DO NOT think that it can do anything against ARM R-27R-ER, Aim120, SUper350 e.t.c. It does not work as other jammers ( radars see u normal , no strobes are emminting from it) .

  17. It is tweaked and very well optimized in the current version in my opinion.
  18. I would not say no to A-6 or the F-105. Get one of those then get a mig-19 and A-7 we already have the Mig-21 and an AI F-4. Now you only need a new map and you have the best Vietnam era Theater with the best sim platform!

  21. In short. If set to gun/shooting/auto the wingspan will start scaling above 18m , else u can use manual mode but still looks broken.
  22. I don't understand why you are defending and who. And i don't like your attitude but i am going to skip that and no fight here. I am not speaking for anyone i am speaking my opinion and i can use my words as i see fit. I am asking for changelog updates and i am rightful to do that. It is a product, i paid, i see changes and i want the changes to be shown in public.
  23. Nobody wants to be pain in the ass Cobra. DCS has a big variant so far of Modules, all of them piece of art and the Mig is no exception, it's the one we enjoy and have big interest in. The bugtracker is a good tool but is also (my opinion) a mess. We need that changelog posted in every update in the ED's Update page like Razbram is doing. I am not complaining about the Mig being slowly fixed step to step. It's something i believe everyone understand and respect, that the workload is huge. Having no time to write and post the changes is no excuse sorry. We are customers and we deserve the update on our browsers. It's a first come first served business and the Mig-21 is your first so don't leave it behind :thumbup:
  24. I know..its a bit sad. I thought the update will come with 1.5.4 but with the 153 update 1 there are changes and especially with the sps-141 pod functionality..man..im trying hard to understand how it works, the manual is so laconic. We need that changelog..:helpsmilie:
  25. New update today. Many fixes came like the sps-141 pod, missile tones and canopy bug, but yet no change log :(
