That's like saying the there is no point in having a FW-190 because the spitfire is a better turner... you see? it's all about what you prefer. Now, i do prefer a dogfight in a spitfire more than a fight in a fw-190, but i can still understand that some people like the fw-190 over the spitfire. You might not like the MiG-25/31 or whatever the plane might be.. but you'll have to respect that some people do.. and the fact that a MiG-25/31 would be added does not mean your favorite plane wont. If you don't like it, don't fly it.

Yes.. we can make anything sound easy if you want that kind of discussion.. F-15 is boring.. you just turn on radar, lock some people up, fire some missiles and wait for them to do the work for you before you run back to base to get some more missiles..

Ok, the problem is SweetFX. The crash log will hint at something related to directx. Currently SweetFX has some compatibility issues with windows 10. To get dcs working follow these steps. Disable it in JSGME ;) Delete these files in Eagle Dynamics/DCS World/Bin: SweetFX folder SweetFX_settings.txt SweetFX_preset.txt SweetFX readme.txt shader.fx log.log injector.ini dxgi.fx dxgi.dll d3d9.dll Hope that helps for any other people having the same issue.

After the update I've been getting regular game crashes (no error code) every 10-20 minutes.. Should i upload the crash log?

Im still hoping for a MiG-25/31, Su-24 or a Viggen.

You cant do it from a full stop, but doing touch and gos without gear is pretty fun :pilotfly: I love skipping along the carrier deck infront of the audience :megalol:

As for carrier aircraft i have to say my favorites are the Sea fury, seafire, and the Zveno carrier airplanes..

We did it when me and a friend had a server set up for practicing formation carrier landings in the P-51. He challenged me to do it in the MiG-15, and neither me or the other guys have been able to recreate the landing :P simply impossible. Something a bit more possible is to belly-skid it over the carrier :P the MiG-15 doesn't care if it's been landed without gear.. if you forgot the gear, just power on, take off and come around for another try like if nothing happened.

I challenge everybody to land their MiG-15 on a carrier that is stationary and with no wind without crashing. I managed to stop the nose wheel at the little edge it the end of the ramp my having less then 5% fuel, using all my gun ammo, and stall landing it right at the edge of the carrier. Good luck :thumbup: Would be nice if we could see some screenshots or something if you make it ;)

So there's no way to fix it? i understand that it might be a problem that ED has to solve.. Although.. when i did the same thing in the mustang one time, it did put out the gear before the repair was over.

While having a flight in the MiG-21Bis i found myself having a broken nose gear. And obviously at that point the only sensible thing to do is to retract your gear on the taxiway, and call for a repair. It all went fine and dandy, but when the Russians were done with the repair, they forgot to lower my gear! Also, i'm pretty sure they must have forgotten some bolts and stuff, because it only took a few seconds to do the whole repair. :D Sorry, Have no track file... if needed, i can try to recreate it tomorrow :pilotfly:

If you have the money for the crosswinds, go for it! But if you don't have that much money at all, then just say **** it and go for the saitek combat pedals. They will last you for years.

To be honest... I don't think i would be satisfied with the mfg crosswinds either. im not buying any more flight gear until something that has good quality and force feedback comes to the market.

Nice! i'm not so interested in the P-40, but i'm very interested in some of the upcoming models you guys are working on, and i see that the quality is good! :) i would kill for a P-36, but sadly there's norway i will be able to fly it in dcs anytime soon. but maybe in the future? ;)

Hello, I've been following the forums and such for quite a while now, and there's one thing that is bothering me a little bit. I understand the rules of the forums and everything, and i do understand why you should give warnings and bans on people who breaks the rules all the time. But, i think they should calm down a little bit especially on the comments people make about development. I think that it's ok to ban people that do it all the time or does it in a really insulting way specifically pointed to the developers. I did it myself, i looked back at the comment and i think i deserved a warning for it. But during the stream they did today i was permanently banned from their Twitch chat with one comment stating that i felt they were banning and deleting too many comments without too much of a reason. I dont remember completely what i said, but i dont belive it was insulting in any way... and im sure that anyone else following the chat will understand what im talking about. I's definately good to get all the insulting comments removed, but permanently ban people for a single comment is a bit too much. I don't want this thread to be a rage, so make sure your comment to the devlopers are constructive.
