So i was flying happily along on the new nttr map.. But suddenly i heard a unpleasing scraping noice. Yes, it seems as though i had hit the floor and broke both my l-39's wings off in a matter of seconds. I quickly called up the ground crew to get a new set of wings and get them bolted on.. but they told me i was "too far away". Bloody rude if you ask me! However, my mind full of terrible words quickly went away as i spotted a huey in the distance that was heading out for me. As the huey landed beside me i decided to quickly pull the eject handle and get out of there and told my navigator to do the same. Im now dead because of some weird reason, but my navigator is still alive. So with the camera in spectator mode on the huey i controlled the navigators mind (the force was strong today) and made him walk (yes.. a wery slow walk) to the side-doors. I completely and utterly miss the entrance several times before finally sticking to it, and after a good round of lagg i find myself comfortably wedged inside the floor. I have to say that although the resque team uses very unorthodox procedures, they bloody well are damn effective! I rate the new update a Ludicrous-3/9 :pilotfly: Thank you for the help lonegun. Your air rescue service is very good, but i'd appreciate better seats if possible.

I sure hope delaymeister can come with some info soon™ I think they are wanting to get the information out as much as we are! (mostly i just want the streams of working on the aircrafts. you do a great job on those Rudel ;) )

Sorry, yes... however, as stated.. i would love a b-58 ;) but i dont see the reason to bash on people who have a different opinion like you did :P i also see why a f-106 could be just as interesting for some other people Oh, and it was meant to be a stereotype for bombers.. i know the b-58 is freakin' fast :thumbup: How about we stop it there btw? i definately overreacted..

Well, put it like this... I would much rather fly a interceptor/fighter intercepting targets to shoot down, than flying a slow bomber dropping a few bombs here and there and go home to re-arm. Im only reacting to how you made the whole interceptor role seem like it consists of 3 steps. I can do the same about ground attack 1. fly slow, 2. drop bomb, 3. go home. I get that you would enjoy a bomber more, and trust me.. i would like one too. However being completely ignorant, stating "Early cold war interceptors are way too boring, just launch a stupid genie and go home…" is stupid... sorry for the rant.. i would love the B-58 anyways :thumbup:

wow, is that really everything a cold war interceptor can do? Good god.. I better stop doing ground attack in the MiG-21. Because god forbid using the aircraft dependant on the situation.

I do not know if you have supernatural skills or something, but the fact that you can fly in a game (yes, dcs is a game..) does not mean you can fly in real life. Simulations and games do not represent the "feel" of a real plane at all. It will, however help you get the hang of it faster. My own experience.

I dont know what i think about the price increase.. if i was able to use the bonus that i have gathered from my purchases i would not be so worried, but they only let you use 10$ of it per purchase...

But looking at it, i think the R9 390 really is better than the 970 right now. Beating it in most games, and with 4.5 gig more vram

Just looked at benchmark for the new driver overhaul coming.. And im pretty much convinced that i will get the 390, just seems a bit more future proof with the memory an all.. In adittion to the fact that the msi 390 is cheaper than the 970 version here.. Should i be worried for cpu bottleneck? I currently have an i5 3570 at 4.2 as you can see.. Thanks for the help.

Yes, sorry.. I got it mixed up.. It is not the "x" version :) Im pretty much sold (depending on black friday sales) to the r9 390, but is there any problems with amd regarding physx and drivers? Im pretty much just playing dcs, arma, x-plane etc.. Will the lack of physx make a difference in games?

Hey, i have a gtx 670 2gb right now, and looking to upgrade a bit. What do you guys think, should i go for a gtx 970 or a R9 390? The 390 looks tempting because of the 8gb though..

I think a dual-seater would be a much better choice for a free aircraft.

This really seems more like an act of agression by the turkish, however i think we should keep out of it untill more information arrives. First russian aircraft shot down by any NATO aircraft since the 50's. We can only hope that the other pilot is still alive, and maybe rescued.

Warthog Extencion Cable Fix Because of how it is designed, all twisting, pushing, pulling happens at the connections between the cable and the connectors. so after x amount of cycles the solder joints will be ripped off. My fix was simply to Disassemble (to get the outer shell off will need some force, you might want to find a way to stretch it a bit. It is quite elastic. [ame=http://www.mouser.com/ds/2/670/md-515791.pdf]http://www.mouser.com/ds/2/670/md-515791.pdf[/ame] Re-solder, and cut the insulation away so that the cables can twist and bend the whole way instead of doing it at the solder joints. If you are doing this, then i would also reccommend replacing the cable with a better one. Don't let this make you hesitate though! its and awesome adition to the warthog, and i will never fly without it!
