  1. Understood. I'll try to get you the number.
  2. I opened Cockpit_UH-1H.EDM in Model Viewer and passed the mouse over the ADI. There is info only for the ADI knobs. I'm not very with Model Viewer. If you provide instructions, I can re-try.
  3. Hi, I am wondering if there are real (current of former) Huey pilots among us? Thanks.
  4. Hello BlacleyCole, Actually all the voice-over are from a professional voice actor whom I paid $17,00 USD for: Commercial Use Up to 125 Words HQ Audio File(wav) As I paid for the rights I am happy to share the files with you. I can PM you the wav files you if you wish? I would just like to ask you 2 things: When you release your project, please add credit and link to his service: throttleupvoice If you need other voice over, please consider to go with him Prices are quite OK IMHO and he responds and does the job very quickly. Besides, I did not know when I chose him but he has an autistic son, and to be with his son, he does the voice job home full time.
  5. Thank you all for your kind feedback. @Reflected: actually my creativity consisted in copying to the Huey the original idea seen in the excellent Oilfield Campaign for the Mi-8. Also the start-up voice-over in that campaign is much more complete and realistic than mine. And without the tutorial of Laivynas, the author of Oilfield, it would have been impossible for me to release this. @Rudel_chw: nice to see you here mate ;) I can see that you read Laivynas' Tutorial. That is indeed the 1st one to read (because the most structuring for a beginner with cockpit triggers) evenf if the other tutorials are useful too. @nessuno0505, Snacko, BlacleyCole: if I go for a new major version, I will certainly consider pilot/co-pilot reading/confirming action or checks. @nessuno0505: 1) Actually, during the design, I messed up between left/right/cockpit door and it did not work. So I should have removed the trigger but I forgot. So you saw it. Funnily, in the end: I made two mistakes that result in a win! You are right, 422 works, so I'll correct that in the next minor release. Many thanks! Much appreciated  2) 215 is "Inverter Main On" that is the last mandatory action to be performed. Hence the "ready for take-off" 3) "starter generator set to stand by": I'll check but you are probably right. Thanks again for your valuable contribution :)
  6. Thanks for your feedback Laivynas. You are right for the missing flags to prevent the "Ready for takeoff" message. I confess that I have been lazy :D I will certainly add flags in the next release. And most importantly, many thanks for the Helicopter startup voice scripting Tutorial  It has been my main helper. Without it, I would not have been impossible for me to release this mission.
  7. Thanks for taking time to send your feedback rg75. Can you confirm that all the triggers worked for you? Did you launch the mission from the DCS Mission menu or the Mission Editor? To be honest, this is my first mission with triggers and cockpit triggers are not the easiest ones (especially gauges status check). That's why I decided to keep it simple and mostly focused on essential things at this time. It is somewhat a prototype. If I do a new version, I will certainly consider higher volume and "comms" effect ; and possibly a more comprehensive and realistic checklist. That will depend on: - The demand or interest of the community - My technical skills which are limited as I have no programming background) - Help from volunteering and knowledgeable mates in the community
  8. Thanks for your fast feedback. In my experience buttons triggers works fine but I'll check for "7. Hydraulic Control On". I've not understood completely the subtlety for gauge triggers, typically for "8. Engine Start" based on Gas Producer Tachometer. So I'll need to investigate that. "9. Revs increasing" is playing like 15 seconds after "8. Engine Start". "10. Ready to take-off!" is triggered by setting the Inverter to On.

  10. 1. Overview When I flew the Oilfield Campaign for the Mi-8, I loved the built-in voice-over feature for Ramp Start. So I decided to do a Ramp Start voice-over for the Huey, at a more modest scale. Please note that my main goal was to create an audio ambience and I do not claim to be 100% realistic. Below is the link for you to download a freeflight containing triggers for voice-over. 2. Download Click here 3. Features (voice-over list) 1. AC Phase 2. Main Generator On 3. ESS-Bus 4. Battery On 5. Fuel On 6. Force Trim On 7. Hydraulic Control On 8. Engine Start 9. Revs increasing... Temperature increasing 10. Ready to take-off! 11. And here we go!4. Notes and known limitations Start up sequence must follow Chuck's Guide Voice-overs work only once per flight session Engine Start and Rev increasing triggers only work if you start the mission from the Mission Editor I will upload the file on the DCS File Library later 5. Credits Technology for cockpit arguments check: Dzen US voice-over actor: throttleupvoice 6. Thanks to Laivynas for the Helicopter startup voice scripting Tutorial EvilBivol-1 for the DCS Cockpit Triggers Guide DSPALLASVI for the Huey - Mission Editor-Trigger Conditions, Actions, Arguments & Values Guide feefifofum for his help on various aspects of mission building
  11. Got it. Many thanks feefifofum
  12. Hi, I built a mission with sound triggers and all the files are in a folder as follows: C:\Simicro\mission.miz C:\Simicro\sound01.miz C:\Simicro\sound02.miz ... If I zip my folder Simicro and send it to another user, and he stores the files in another folder, for example: C:\John\mission.miz C:\John\sound01.miz C:\John\sound02.miz ... will the mission and the sound files (with their new relative paths) work?
  13. Shortly this will do with most of the graphics settings sliders to low/medium. It depends also on the resolution of your screen. You also need to pay attendion to the size of the SSD (120 Gb in your case if I am correct): you can install DCS with the default map (Caucasus). However if you want also Nevada, Persian Gulf, it will be short, especially if you have other programs on your SSD. As a reminder DCS performs better on a SSD than on a regular HDD. Minimum specs for DCS (source: Eagle Dynamics):
  14. Hi MeerCat, Thanks for investigating. To detect if cockpit doors are closed door I tried: Condition X-Cockpit Argument in Range Argument: 38 Min: 0 Max: 0.05 Action Message To All ("Doors closed") It does not work, maybe I did something wrong?
  15. Oh! It works! My error was selecting "Takeoff from ground" instead of ""takeoff from ramp" Many thanks feefifofum for your help. Much appreciated! :)
  16. Personally, I only discovered the feature in my 3rd year of DCS. So I say: useful reminder/awareness/heads up post  It does not hurt ;)
  17. Thanks Jabbers, pleasant to watch :) And congratulations mate, for being in the ED Newsletter
  18. Thank you for confirming that it feels strange. I'm wondering if ED can improve Force Feedback for the Yak sometimes in the future?
  19. Hi all, Once again, I would need help from the "Mission Builders" community ;) In the Argo Campaign, many missions start from a frigate. As I like naval operations, I tried to create a mission with a Huey starting from the frigate available in DCS, however the mission editor won't let me place the helicopter on the frigate deck. I found this thread for the KA-50 but I don't really understand. If there is a solution without tweaking lua files, I would much appreciate.
  20. I am sorry I cannot help you in your particular case. I can only say that spotting targets is actually an issue on 2K and 4K monitors. Also it is not easy nowadays to find the right monitor for our taste and need, especially that most of the time you cannot see the monitor operating before buying it  So it's somewhat trial and error despite the reviews on the internet.
  21. Thanks golani79
  22. Hi, It seems that FF is not yet operational? Can somebody confirm please. I have a MS FFB2 and feel no force.
  23. I haven't flown that mission in DCS 2.5 so I don't know if the landing/search lights are weaker but if I recall correctly, in 2.5 the trees density is higher than before for the same setting (tree visibility). That can explain that you get a harder time spotting the road or refugee camp.

    Thanks ED!

Me too, I want to take this opportunity to thanks once again ED! I only realize today :doh:that with 27 years old, it is probably the 'oldest' simulation company still in operation. It means something... The simulator progress over time is remarkable. And so is the flourishing ecosystem: aicraft 3rd party developers, and since a couple of years campaign 3rd party developers... Let's not forget the fantastic community to which ED is well connected. I think we are lucky to be informed very regularly via different media: website, forums, FB, Twitter, Youtube, weekly newsletter, etc.
  25. I realized that when I started, I was a bit lower than Idle-Stop. Nom I start at Idle-Stop and all is fine. Solved. Thanks all.
