Carrier landings are just awesome! If you can fly like Navy, you really CAN fly

The song just HAD to be included - it's like I get flashbacks and I wasn't even there (born -73) ;)

...but to be honest, I'd like to get hold of the map editor. That way I could make a proper Vietnam-map. Any hints where I can get it - drop me a line :) Anyways, here's my first semi-serious work on a Vietnam-campaign (ETA: fall or possibly winter) :joystick:

Mig-21, it was not made for ground attacks...
SFC Tako replied to SFC Tako's topic in Screenshots and Videos
Thanks :) Now I just remembered one thing about the Mig-21 and supersonic travel...there's some kind of autopilot one can use. To stay level and avoid engine failures. OK then, ANOTHER button to map, ANOTHER gizmo  The Mig-21 is perhaps too well made. I've said it before and I'll say it again: it's bordeline too complicated for me. But it's really well made. And fun :pilotfly: -
...but still, it's just too damn fun :joystick:

I guess, if it's technically possible that is. But then there would be a LOT to redo. A lot of the messages are sent to a specific group and not the whole coalition/team. And then of course there would have to be some more editing for playability, like "2 pilots=twice the amount of enemies" and so on ;) But to the point here: For the time being I'm sort of lacking the motivation. But as this campaign-series is a serious steal of sound effects, skins and what not...well I'd say it's free for anyone to edit and release a co-op version of it. I have ONE reservation though - it must be tested properly before release. Of course it will not bear my name in any way and I won't take any credit whatsoever...but still, I'd like the Outremer-series to stand for something, to have a certain level of technical reliability. It's not like my work is without it's flaws, but it works. So anyone up for a co-op conversion, go for it! But test it properly :smartass:

Yeah I've reworked my Sabre-campaign a bit, tailored it for the three WWII-fighters we have. It's not just some cheesy port, hell no - I've had to redo the story a bit and added some bonuses and taken away some helpers. Also, the enemies are still the same so things are just gonna get dirtier and more down and personal. Find it at downloads section, just search for "Outremer". Oh yeah, it's for tough guys only ;)

Video feat. low level navigation and pop up attack.

That timer is SO not my style. But that timer was SO cool! Made it feel like Airwolf or sumtin' -
I feel the same ;) And Giovani, you just need Winrar to extract the files, that's about it.

Fellow Mig-pilots! I re-tailored my old Sabre campaign for both the Hawk and the Sabre. So why not go Mig too?! It's a bit tougher for the Mig, but I suppose most Mig-pilots have a "can-do" attitude ;) GET IT HERE! Please report if you have ANY problems at all, be them technical, mission related or just anything else you can't get your head around. I have no problems with "stupid" questions, I just want this campaign to work for everyone. So I'll answer everything to the best of my abilities. Bonne chance! :pilotfly:

My hat off for this

Possible to set Tunguska state to AAA fire only?
SFC Tako replied to -VSAAF- Sender's topic in User Created Missions General
That's a VERY practical solution. Let's say you want to try an anti-ship mission, oldschool with the Sabre. It just can't be done under normal circumstances. But set a zone around a ship at say 4000m and that ship will only use oldschool AAA against you. Or well, pretty modern AAA but still, you have a chance now :) -

Go SHILKA! -
I've added some more planes yes, but I'm not gonna tell much more about it :)

Thanks guys :) And Nemax, those were very kind words! This new campaign is sort of made more user friendly. And with more explosions...and a few nasty surprises! If you're dumb/macho enough, you can do some dogfighting. Or you can weasel yourself out of it. Won't affect nothing (more than your ego).

First of all, thanks for all previous flyers of my old campaign "Outremer-Sabre". Secondly...I'm so sorry for the utter lameness of it. I realized this when I begun reworking it for the Hawk. I mean, SWEET JESUS it was without any drama at all! Just way too sterile. So, I apologize for that. Anyways, it's a proper campaign now. Short but brutal :) HERE IT IS Feel free to comment and DO ask if you have any technical problems installing it or any other difficulties. Usually, if one person's got a problem - nine other persons has the same problem but people are afraid to come off stupid so no questions are fired off. Well, forget about that stupid-stamp for once. This here campaign is for low-brow macho types so I won't discriminate ;)

@ATAG_chair1: I will release a full campaign for the 109 later this summer or possibly in the fall. It will be based on my current Hawk-campaign, set in the 50s/60s, pretty much no dogfights, a LOT of counterinsurgency though (and shady covert ops). The thing is though...the 109 is pretty damn hard to use in that role (no airbrakes!). Just taking off with a big bomb and a full tank of gas...it's for tough guys only. Y'know the kind that rolls their own cigarettes and use duct tape to patch their wounds (or airplane). I tried out my first campaign mission with the 109 and it was pretty much a nightmare :) But to conclude, I WILL release a campaign and I WILL tailor it to be playable for most pilots. It ain't all about skill, it's about attitude, having the will to laugh at death and all that ;)

The Huey was my first module and it's still the best of them all. What makes me come back? Well I guess it's something about that closeness to the enemy you mentioned. If you're in combat in the Huey, you're so very close to danger all the time. It's like you can smell the fear :)

Unpack the rar-file with winrar, from there you will get an installation instruction.

No technical procedures more than going easy on the collective and heading back home ASAP. I've never come across any Emergency Operating Procedures but a real pilot could probably have something for you.
