How do you mean exactly? Do you work there? Never said the opposite. Steam doesn't take any "cut" - the buyer pays the fee.
-
They oughta get with the program - pretty much all other 3rd party developers have their modules on Steam. And they make bank with'em.
-
Nice job :)
-
Why don't they just make it available at Steam? What's the glitch?
-
I've never heard of smoke rockets but I have heard about "Willie Pete". They used white phosphorus in Nam all the time for target marking.

Not be bad-mouthing training missions...but isn't actual combat the best training? ;) Go into the mission editor, put an L-39ZA on the runway and some light armor up the valley somewhere. You might just get things workin' that way. See training missions have been messed up before in other modules. Sometimes you just gotta jump right into it, no toe-dippin'.

Here's a quick rundown in the beginning of this flick. AND I press the forbidden button as well (the unlock-thing, little circular thing on the lower pedestal). [ame] [/ame]

Yup, noticed that as well :joystick: But good info anyways :)

ZA 23 Mike cannon... trouble consistently getting to fire
SFC Tako replied to dooom's topic in DCS: L-39 Albatros
Yeah, well - works for me. EDIT: You're right actually. Tested it in a safe environment and there was NO need to use the Ublock. Don't know how/why I had to use it earlier. -
Just tried it - works.

Alright, you saved me a LOT of time. Thanks, man :)

ZA 23 Mike cannon... trouble consistently getting to fire

Every single time I try it, I get a game crash...or CTD like some kids say ;) What I do is shut down everything via LeftWin+End, talk to the ground crew via communication menu and then I wait for the countdown. The repair itself starts with lifting the bird but just when it's about to drop back on the ground...CRASH!!! Very annoying - this means I can't use the bird for a campaign. Has anyone been able to do a repair? Please share or try one yourself. This is pretty important! :helpsmilie:

ZA 23 Mike cannon... trouble consistently getting to fire

This here is what I do and it works unless the gun is damaged. 1. Turn off the other weapon switches, both on pedestal console and the power buttons for the wing stations on the left console. 2. Activate gun switch on the left side of you 3. Push the little pyro-button on the left console (small circular piece) 4. Push the "unscrew the gun"-button on the pedestal (don't remember exact name) 5. FIRE! To summarize: YOU BET I'VE HAD PROBLEMS AS WELL :joystick: -
Great and thanks, Grimes! I'll test things out with just ONE of the campaigns then :joystick:

Hi, everyone! I haven't tried the 2.0 version and well, I haven't even tried the 1.5 either. Thought this testing period should be for a couple of weeks only and I haven't flown DCS since October last year. Anyways, as I have a few campaigns to look after - does anyone know if there are any major changes in the Mission Editor in 2.0 as opposed to 1.5? You know, things that might screw things up when we all go 2.0? The reason I ask: 1.5 seems to be available at Steam now and maybe I'll start working on my campaigns or rather, just one of them. To see if I can get it to work in 1.5. The thing is, I'm not doing it if everything gets tossed around when I go to 2.0 later on. It's just not worth it. Ten foot pole... :music_whistling: So, anyone notice major changes between Mission Editor 1.5 vs 2.0? If you know about it, please do post :book:

My first thought was "Who cares, this means nothing" and so on...but having read your post to the finish, I'll have to agree on the immersion thing (=it DOES matter). And the options-thing too ;) Maybe this is a feature they simply haven't done in the new engine, yet...

I can only think of monitor and/or GPU-settings for this one. But where to find them? In the computer or in the game? Anyways, I would NOT re-install until I've tried tinkering around. Chances are, you'd get the very same error again... Ahem, having just read what I wrote - I understand I'm not helping very much here :(

M-2000C shown as owned & playable in editor.

Many moons ago I had the exact same deal with the Aviojet (101-something). Exact same results and I didn't own it either. It was a bug. -
Keep us posted, I haven't played DCS since October last year. Thought this transition/testing would only take a few weeks ;)

Words of wisdom, right there! And yes, I'd be most willing to pay for new maps. Making maps is work, work must be rewarded. That's how things...work ;) (sorry all for barging in on this topic, I've said my piece now)
-
Now that's a hefty price-tag...if that really is the case.

Hey devs: Release a map editor and the community will fix a small Vietnam or Afghanistan map withing a year or so. Or maybe some islands in the Pacific...or some inland map of deepest Africa, who knows? Do not release a map editor and we will only have Las Vegas as an exciting new venue for adventure. For all eternity. What's the problem? I mean, seriously - is the map editor Top Secret? I can have it but then you must kill me?
-
No guides on my part. I just began by adding stuff when I was new to this (began with the Huey). You know, to try things out like "what if I got AAA all around my landing zone" and so on. What struck me early was how easy the mission editor is. I mean for a guy like me that has zero patience and just refuses to learn scripting...well the editor is great! Do it my way, screw the guides - take a leap of faith! ;)

No official group, but you can make one yourself. Pick a carrier of your choosing and then add a few destroyer/cruiser vessels to it's group. You can then set the wind from one direction, have the carrier group's waypoint make it steam into the wind and voila - there you are. If you're really into this, add a rescue chopper travelling the same course/speed as the carrier group...and maybe a few Navy aircraft that spawn at certain times, take off and perform CAP ;) It's all in there, but you gotta make it happen first. Trust me, it's not a nightmare. You'll be done in less than 10 minutes.
