And here's the conclusion about the AI-controlled Mirage2000: The AI is "challenged", or a "one trick pony" if you like. It does nothing for a great airplane like the Mirage2000. But I understand the AI will be improved in the new DCS. As for the aircraft itself, I can't wait to fly it! :joystick:

^^ AWESOME! :thumbup: Well, then there's hope. I don't know how to kick this off but I hope we can pressure the right people to understand that DCS WORLD shouldn't just be in english and russian. French and spanish are quite big languages (last time I checked). But then again, maybe this isn't the right time to start an inquest into it (with the new DCS and all). Maybe we should let the dust settle first. Or maybe not.

Thinking about that actually, will we get real french speech in the future? Does anybody know? The current english with french "Allo Allo"-accent is charming of course but it's only used by allied french pilots in the game and to be perfectly honest, how much work can it really be to get your own pilot speaking french (with english subs of course)?

And as for guns-only, I think we see here how the AI has "problems". Wouldn't happen against a human opponent in a guns-only fight. OR WOULD IT?! [dramatic music]

LOL, I'm afraid I had the same idea for a while. Thing is, any hack can get off some lucky shots regardless of what he's flying. I bet there's even a theoretic chance for a Mustang...head on, spraying bullets. But then, we are really into suicidal non-sense ;) Ah well, I'm so getting the M2000. Gonna land it on Charles de Gaulle. I wonder how much headwind I need?

Me getting lucky on the subject. This of course can't be considered serious aerodynamic research but as you can see, the AI-Mirage2000 is quite a handful. And I don't want to do this again, you can only have so much luck :)

Of course, this has nothing to do with the upcoming module but I felt I had to check out the AI-Mirage2000. Fighting the AI-Mirage2000 in guns only is very hard. Well, for me at least. And yeah, I had some luck - that's for damn sure. :joystick: Beautiful airplane too :)

Hi there, Wild Bill! Setting 4 different ATCs on the 4 channels IS possible but only through the mission editor, NOT while in the cockpit. OK, I guess you knew that already. But then how about using the radio succesfully? Well I can tell you from my own experience that if the mission file you're working on has been used by a totally different aircraft previously, then the radio comms will most probably be fubar. What to do? You got 2 options. 1. Create a brand new mission file or... 2. Open the .miz file with winrar and look for a folder named "radiocomms" or something (can't remember exactly) and just delete the damn thing. Had to do that for all my separate versions of the Outremer-campaign. Then I got the comms working. Homing radio? Never heard of it, sorry. Shady compass? I can't even tell, I only use it for reference. Map reading is safer. EDIT: I'm home now! Here's a shot of the folder I mentioned. I tossed it and then I could redo the mission for other aircraft's radios. Strangely enough, I couldn't find this folder in following missions created from this "mother"-mission. No clue as to why...

I had to cut down a lot on my drinking in order to learn the Huey. Then I just had to try the Mustang as well...then the Sabre, then the Mi-8 and on and on. I haven't touched neither my Playstation or Xbox since I got into this sim (last november). The trials we have to go through in life... ;) Anyways, I daydream about the P-40 and Mirage2000. And a 12GB graphics card (my gtx 970 feels old already).

Yeah well, I found a workaround so no more problems. Also, I added black t-shirts and golden crosses :)
