  1. Don't think you can, not that I've seen anyway The script editor can look pretty daunting when first going into it, but in reality it's not so hard What you can do, although I might get some critisicm here, is take the script the GUI generates and then just open it in the script editor and add the Tempo commands you want As I recall when a GUI file is made (*.fcf) it generates a script file, I think it's placed in the Scripts folder, that file is a *.tmc with the same name. Open it in the Script editor and then add the Tempo commands you require. The Target Script Editor Basics will tell you how and it's all bookmarked so just go to the relevant section. That's how I started scripting by using the GUI then adding to the auto generated script. It's not really the best way to make a script but for just starting out it's a pretty easy and fast way if you can't be bothered to plough through the manual. If you're having diifficulty then post up your script (or PM me) and tell us what you want to add and I/we here will do our best help. Once you get over what looks like a complicated mess of lines of code, you'll start to use the Editor, or at least I did. The GUI can do quite a bit over just using the HOTAS as a "button box" but the editor really opens up so many other posssibilities, that you'll start to use it...............there is no going back
  2. I usually get that sorta picture when Vaicom hasn't been recognized if I'm running a different profile, with Vaicom off. Is the Vaicom pop up menu coming up Ok and is the module recognized in the Green window onn the PTT page Ok? On the About Tab of the pop up, does hitttiing the list button show the Interactive kneeboard on the list Sorry not much help
  3. Just checked it and I see exactly what you describe too. I've got a my own profile where I can call Airfields for all bases (I think) in Caucasus, Nevada, Syria and Gulf maps, but that tunes the radio manually and although it shows on radio panel because it's a manual frequency select it doessn't come up on the UFC. Can't help with SRS at the moment as I'm not currently using it, if I do get the chance I'll take a look
  4. Just noticed this when I'd lost my bindings for a joystick. When I pushed the Load Profile Button on the Input Menu it defaulted to InputUserProfiles folder. Does anybody know what's the intended function of this folder, perhaps its been there a while but I can't recall seeing it before. I'm assuming it's somewhere to place profiles that perhaps won't get wiped or something to that effect. Having DCS reset all the input bindings during an update is a bit of a bugbear of mine and I find it VERY annoying. Is it module specific? By that I mean is the folder then meant to have subfolders for the differrent modules. Any help would be appreciated
  5. Glad you got it sorted Result!!!
  6. Could be a few things, but assuming the voice training is Ok, I usually get persistant unrecognized phrases when VA isn't recognizing the command, because it doesn't exist as far as VA is concerned Are you running VSPX as that can make things a bit whacky and some of the commands aren't getting recognized properly yet? Is the Extended Command Set option in the Vaicom pop up under the preferences tab ticked (it won't work unless it's enabled)? If none of the above what you could try as a work-around and to prove that VA is recognizing your command is to go to the Vaicom profile for VA and make a command called Kneeboard. Then get that command to activate the keystrokes your module uses to open and close (or toggle) the kneeboard open and closed and see how you get on with that. If that works then either keep it, or if you go to the Vaicom Website and raise a ticket you can inform them that Voice Attack is recognizing the command as you've proved through a separate comand. Personally I don't use the Kneeboard command (I'm running VSPX) and just have 2 commands that open and close the kneeboard by invoking the necessary.
  7. This is probably Old Hat to those of you who jump in this module frequently, as I don't I was hoping somebody might enlighten me Mainly related to the Kneeboard frequencies in the PG map but in general some airbases titles don't show up on the kneeboard and have to be located via the other info. This is not a biggie, but how come it's never been fixed up until now, it's 15 minutes work to look up the frequencies verify the locations and correct the file? Something more puzzelling is the PG entries. There's an entry with a frequency for LAR AB, although LAR has no ILS and as I understand it the AWLS depends on ED's ILS channels to work. One of the runway headings is also wrong (19) too. There's also a runway 29 for Sharjah although according to my data there is no runway 29 for Sharjah Then there is nothing entered for AL Dhafra although it has 4 ILS approaches. I've rehashed the AN_ARN128 file to fix it so as the kneeboard entries match what info I have on available ILS/AWLS, and also corrected some other minor stuff, but I was wondering if I'd missed something and there was an underlying reason for the original entries Am I missing something here or just got it all plain wrong (& if so I apologize)? EDIT Also meant to ask would it be possible to put AWLS frequencies into the Syria map by adding the frequencies for ILS, TACAN etc: to this file?
  8. Ok I think I've got a handle on what's happening I've noticed that if you rerun a mission in the Harrier it acts like you're running a Track file. It doesn't give a clean copy of the the mission unless you exit out of the mission back to the main menu and re-select from there, which is a flaw that's been there a long time If I select a fresh mission in the ME everything works fine, if I rerun an existing mission I lose the snap views. I think what's happening is whatever the Snap views are at the time of the mission being run the first time are somehow setting them up for the other times it's run. I need to do some more experimentation
  9. Can you either PM me or post up here what particular keybinds you're trying to implement and I'll try them out with my StreamDeck...............if you want to that is Any Keybinds I've wanted to use via StreamDeck all seem to work fine. One question, are you in Europe? I posted a little while back that I came accross a problem specific to the R_Alt modifier for the European keyboard. A European keyboard sends a L-Ctl+R-Alt when pressed down. Some software is clever enough to ignore the L_Ctl command but not the StreamDeck. To get around that I change to a US keyboard when making the command in the StreamDeck then changeback to my normal UK keyboard in Windows. After that's done it always worked fine so far. Realize that's a long shot but thought I'd post it up anyway
  10. Just stick the Key No into the (enter license key here) box followed by your email address in the (enter email address here) box in the About Tab of the Vaicom pop up and after it registers with the server, which might take a few tries and it should be good to go. Remember when putting in the Serial No & mail address to delete the (enter license key here) & (enter email address here) bfore putting in the details
  11. It didn't used to be but I believe there were plans to make them launchable In the meantime @SUNTSAG made a mod to make them launchable. It's great fun and you can shoot the V1's down to boot I haven't run the mission in the latest Open Beta though. See the 6th post down in the list https://forums.eagle.ru/topic/233670-suntsag-lockdown-modsliveries-collection-new-and-revised/
  12. I don't know the Foxx mounts and if you're sorted fine I just wanted to say that Debolestes offers a series of offset and canted neck pieces for the Hog which will also fit straight onto the TM Hornet stick as well as both grips use the same components https://www.shapeways.com/shops/debolestis I use the 13degree forward 15 degrees left piece on both grips and found it a huge improvement over having the stick bolt upright. Of course what works for me may not suit you but I thought I'd point it out https://www.shapeways.com/product/MMJ88HH2S/thrustmaster-tailpiece-13-deg-ang-15-deg-off-m?optionId=59460400&li=shops
  13. I'm a bit unclear about the HotKeys, I take it you mean using the StreamDeck to assign Keyboard sequences to the game using the HotKey button option available for the StreamDeck I assume you've alrready downloaded "System" to enable you to get that button command, shown in the picture on the column at the right Drag that onto a button and it'll give you 2 lines one for a title and one for the keypress sequence. Just a note when it pulls the command in, you will see next to the "Hotkey:" an arrow indicating a drop down window, offering options. Click on it and select the Differentiate left/right modifiers, at the top. Select that before assigning the hotkey, if you don't all modifiers will be the left ones by default i.e. Shift is L_Shift, Alt is L_Alt etc:
  14. Dammit I wanted to purchase the package, with the Gufighter base as at the moment I have a FBM (which I'm very happy with) Looks like I'm in for a wait, on the other hand with your production capacity looks like I'll have a good chance of getting one eventually Wishing everybody lucky enough to end up with a late Christmas present happy simming Just to add it looks absolutely amazing (in case you didn't know)
  15. Pity That looks very a smart chart, be fantastic if you had manged to produce a set Your airfield tables are good more than good enough for my needs though and the best set I've seen since Gospadin produced his charts so many years back for the Caucasus
  16. On a related topic Is everybody aware that ED has changed some of the beacons and Airfield frequencies in the last update & not flagged it very clearly. This will result in a lot of errors, confusion and general mayhem. I'm using these from @Minsky which IMHO are absolutely superb, Ok the're not charts per se, but will at least enable you to dial up the tower
  17. Thanks for the alert
  18. I can't comment on the others, but have an early set of the VKB rudders. They are very very good, but are also very different. The action is down/Up not back/forward, more like a helicopter's pedals. This works well if you sit higher up at a desk but wouldn't be so good if you seating position is low. Their accuracy is very good and they are alll metal construction and IMHO very well made. However they take a little getting used to. As far as the brake function, you can combine them with a button/axis on your stick so they activate the brakes similar to the setup used in the Russian jet and the Spitfire. Its been a while since I've looked at the VKB software on how to do this. As I recall the stick input determines the braking force applied and the pedal movement the differential between left and right brake that's applied. @Sokol1_br is probably the best guy on here to give you the rundown on how to set up the lever on the yoke to get them to apply brakes
  19. It MIGHT be your timing, could be something else First make sure there is nothing in Vaicom that uses the same word or phrase, or Vaicom will grab it and it won't get passed thru to your (appended) profile. If that is happening you'll see it registered in the log as Vaicom Personally I used to have a lot of problems when using TX6 and what worked for me was issuing the command then immediatley coming off the switch/button/hat, keeping the PTT pressed seemed to cause problems and the command didn't get executed. On a similar note if you then need to input further data (via voice) inside the command you don't need to press the PTT once the command is executing. I thought that Hollywoood had fixed this via a recent update, to the best of my knowledge, but I haven't extensively tested it. That might not help but perhaps worth a shot
  20. I think there have been quite a few people having issues with that switch Mine sorta worked and I let the warranty lapse but it got worse and I had to end up purchasing a replacement. If in any doubt I'd send it back, I realize what a PIA that is and feel your pain Otherwise you'll be outta pocket for the switch (not exactly cheap) annd replacing it yourself is also not the easiest job I've tackled. If it's anything like mine first there was a whole load of hot glue to be removed, then getting the old switch to unlatch from the stick body was a bear of a job, partly because one of the latches/tangs is just about impossible to access. The replacement will not sit securely either unless it's sleeved or packing is added to the rear of the switch to hold it in place. I've attached the instructions sent by Thrustmaster to show you what's involved (although they don't tell you about sleeving the switch, or how hard it is to unlatch it) 5077807_FA18_How to replace the WSS button.pdf
  21. Appreciated @Blinky.ben Although I can now complete a refuel, its still hit and miss. The slow spool up/down time of the engine is a pain. Then the attitiude changes when coming on and off the throttle coupled to the extreme pitch sensitivity (causing the nose to yo-yo) makes this challenging for me. Cannot believe how stable the Hornet is in comparison, it is stupidly easy to refuel, but the Jeff is a different kettle of fish entirely I'll certainly try you're methods and tip
  22. I may have found the problem, so first apologies to Deka I was using an older mission I had for the Hornet, changed the aircraft to the the Jeff then was executing refuel runs. As I was haivng such a hard time, I changed the aircraft back to the Hornet and found that I was getting uncommanded roll input in the Hornet. There was no logic to this it would roll to the right which I trimmed it out, then it would suddenly stop, of course that then meant that my trim was now rolling the Hornet to the right. All hardware was checked and everything was spot on, I was convinced initially that I was getting an uncommanded rudder input or the like. All hardware good and all control inputs were being issued from a single controller, so no doubling or Ghost inputs. So it wasn't anything connnected to HOTAS or control setup I scrapped that mission and made a fresh one. All the uncommanded roll disappeared, I didn't have enough time to fully try the Jeff but it seemed more stable than before, I'll try AAR later today. It's a bit of a worry as I can no longer trust old missions and means I'll need to consign quite a few to the scrapper. As an aside I also noticed the graphics improved too. In my naievity I always thought missions were simply a set of instructions that were executed and therefore updates shouldn't impact on them, within reason of course. Looks like I was wrong
  23. I'll certainly give that a try Many Thanks
  24. AFAIK there is no special configuration I've come across. You select the AAR with a switch for Internal Tanks or All Tanks and that's it Placing the aircraft in A2G mode 2 helps a bit but that's about the only control changes you can make that affect dampening, unless somebody comes by to enlighten me further I still wonder about the 3 or 4 tutorials which show the aircraft being pretty stable when refuelled. It can be refuelled but it's a much more hit and miss affair for me.
  25. Totally agree, I don't understand why and no warning given let alone explanation While Off Topic it's related IMHO to resets to the Input Files as well. Many people take a lot of time setting up missions, charts, Input configurations etc: If there's a good reason for these chages so be it, but please don't do it on a whim. If it's considred neceassary then could you please make it a BIG RED FLAG on the change log, at least that way us customers can try to take some steps to mitigate the damage. All I'm requesting is that when changes are made that ED must realize could have a major impact on some (or all) customers could it please be highlighted rather than a cryptic comment, at best, in the Changelog Now I'm unsure what to do until ED give us some information, I don't want to put in a load of work changing all these frequencies to then find ED might change them back. I'm in the same boat as I have all the TACAN, UHF & VHF frequencies in profiles in voice attack for a load of modules as well as having to update all the kneeboard listings I have. The thought hardly fills me with joy
