  1. Ok page 46 of the manual explains the VA commands you can add to the Vaicom profile to force the tabs from there. If you have the AutoBrowse enabled in the EX tab of the Vaicom pop up window it will then jump to the interactive kneeboard and the relevant tab called for I'm ass-uming you updated the keywords profile as you need that to do that to get it to work automatically without adding extra commands. When it isn't recognized is the command showing as recognized in the VA window? You could also try dropping a line to support at the Vaicom website explaining the problem, they have always been helpful in my experience
  2. Really need @Bailey to answer that properly Drac Looking quickly at his profile though I don't think so, it looks like VA does some sort of reset for the DDIs then executes commands, so I think it should be reset automatically within the profile. It's a very sophistcated profile and quite in depth, so I can't say for sure, but it looks that way to me Perhaps Bailey will chime in to give you a definitive answer, but I doubt the Interactive kneeboard page would affect this
  3. Just a point if your having trouble calling up the tabs, if you're using VSPX I don't think it works properly Hollywood has pointed this out a few times You can add your own commands to go to a tab using the Execute external Plug In command in Voice Attack and add these to the VA profile which Vaicom uses. It's in the manual how to do this and it's pretty easy. I'm using my own calls for the tabs as I have VSPX running. It enables me to go to a selected tab or page up or down across them and it works a charm for me
  4. Voice Attack has it's own commands for Listening, Stop Listening and Toggle Listening which you can add to your own profile. If you want a PTT for example you could use the Start Listening when a button is pressed and stop Listening when a button is released This is what the Vaicom PTT buttons used to used in the Vaicom profile. Copy the Vaicom commands over to your own profile then just delete the command for "Execute plug in" command and replace the PTT press with a Listening and the PTT release with a Stop Listening The VA Listening commands are found under Other/Voice Attack Action
  5. Drac I believe Bailey's only imports to bring in the sound files once in VA it's just another profile that can be Daisy Chained to Vaicom like any other
  6. That is VERY cool, are you intending to produce and market it or is it just a personal project? If you are going to produce it I'd be interested, if it's only a personal project it would be nice if you could provide us with some info on what harware is required and how you made it. Great imagination and lots of skill in producing it
  7. Yes as hornblower has already pointed out if you want to manually switch between custom kneeboard pages and the Interactive remember to switch off the autobrowse in the EX tab in the Vaicom pop up menu, or the kneeboard will snap to it anytime it has new information written to it As I remember the usual order of pages, using Caucasus as an example, is the DCS airfield charts, the DCS coloured maps, aircraft specific info that's been added by the module, the Interactive Kneeboard then your custom pages. I made some paging commands in my profiles that select specific pages on voice request, Bailey has the same in his profiles. I improved mine by getting it to page backwards and forwards to any specific page, however it needs to know the total pages in your kneeboard and also needs resetting at the begining of every spawn in order that VA can synch with the game.
  8. Don't even know if it's possible or not. It would be nice to have something for any aircraft with outer MFD buttons around the periphery of the screen, but especially the JF-17 which has an 8 button setup on the Left and right columns of its MFDs. I use a simple set of Voice Attack commands where I call a display, Left Right Center etc: that locks me the relevant display, then I can call an Alpha numeric to activate a button on the MFD. Example: Rows are Top & Bottom, Columns are Left & Right. Then I have the numbering, using the JF-17 as an example, 1-5 L to R for the Rows and 1-8 Top to Bottom for the Columns. So I call out say, "Left Display" which locks me to that display until I call another display. Then I say for example "L3" "T4" "B2" "R8" which would press these buttons. Problem is the counting on the buttons which slows me down, if there was a way to overlay numbers onto the buttons it would make things a lot easier. As I know nothing about graphics or skinning I'm totally lost and don't even know if it's possible :helpsmilie:
  9. Hi Drac I use my own profile so not 100% sure but a lot of it takes inspiration from Bailey's profiles. My only problem was the Interactive kneeboard jumping automatically to its page when it had info to show knocking the tracking variables in the kneeboard outta whack. However if you switch off the Auto Browse on the Vaicom PTT pop up ( I think it's in the EX page) it seems to stop this and the Interactive Kneeboard just appears as another regular kneeboard page. Bailey may have to adjust his page numbering in the kneeboard, I'm not sure to account for the extra page and to allow you to call it up. You also might need to insert commands in the Vaicom profile to call up the tabs. It's all pretty straightforward and the commands for calling the tabs arre detailed in the latest Vaicom manual
  10. Seems to work also got a reply from Hollywood confirming this. That was real forward thinking on his part, very pleased it's there
  11. The only way I know of at least partial remedy to this is to into Device Manager and ensure that Windows can't take control of the USB to shut it off under the Power Management tab (if you haven't done so already). I also noticed that during some of the Windows updates Windows can re-enstate the this option forcing you to go through all the USB devices again to turn off the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" option
  12. Can't help with the second one, but it just occured to me that perhaps the AutoBrowse Feature might be doing this. I just wrote to Hollywood requesting just the same thing then it occured to me that perhaps disabling AutoBrowse might work, Yet to test it though It's a tiny box at the base of the kneeboard opacity slider in the EX tab of the Vaicom pop up. I'll report back later to confirm if that works or not
  13. Are you planning to release the flight model and new mods? Very interested in this as I love the Grippen and the Swedish design approach in general, they are so inivitave. At the moment I fly the Viggen a lot, its features were very advanced for its time.
  14. Greatly appreciated, just purchased the JF-17 and that's saved me a ton of work Many thanks for your generosity
  15. Thank You Harker, I love it I'd be gutted if this mod stopped working, for me it makes all the difference to pit enhancement
  16. I have my profiles in VA added to Vaicom and use the same keypad presses that opens comms to Vaicom to mute Discord (& Teamspeak) so as I either call Discord or VA/Vaicom but never both at the one time
  17. I agree Bailey I use TARGET and Voice Attack, both are great. Voice Attack is great value and can do a lot more than just send Voice Commands, mystifies me a bit why others don't use more of its capabilities
  18. TARGET has a lot of haters and it also take up some resource and reduces Dx button count. However it's pretty powerful and Dx count can be taken up to 120Dx with this https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/english/dcs-world-topics/input-and-output/170969-hack-for-tm-warthog-with-120-programmable-dx-buttons?t=171098 I think it's a great piece of software and (for me anyway) much more stable than JoyStick Gremlin and all the other emulators out there. The Editor which is where the real power lies needs a little bit of research though, but once you understand the concepts it's really not so hard at all. Just my experience, it seems very much a "Marmite" product
  19. Got all the APIs working except kneeboard.opac.up & kneeboard.opac.dn When I execute these commands I get the Comms menu popping up. It's not a biggie as I can go direct to a tab or use the kneeboard.tab.prv kneeboard.tab.nxt So far so good, loving it
  20. Just a thank you to Hollywood for incorporation of the Theater Exposed variable Helped me build my profile to page through the kneeboard using Voice Attack. It's far from perfect as it need to know the number of pages, but it works pretty well for me
  21. Much as I use Ctyler's absolutely brilliant and excellent app for inputting commands from a StreamDeck to DCS there are times especially with LEV (axis) functions where I just can't get the command to work correctly. Plan B is to use a HotKey on the StreamDeck. I've been doing this for a couple of weeks and like the idiot I am I only just found out that the HotKey can not only support Left CTL, Left ALT and Left Shift but can also support Right CTL, Right ALT and Right SHIFT. I guess I need to read more instruction manuals. In case anybody was unaware, this can be done by selecting the HotKey and prior to inputting the Keyboard sequence, select DownArrow/"v" next to the Hotkey Window, a dropdown appears and at the top there's a differentiate Left/Right Modifers option. Click that and the StreamDeck will now differentiate between left and right modifiers. For non-US keyboards though there's a drawback our Right ALT is Right ALTGR, this results in the StreamDeck programming a Left CTL+Right ALT. Some software seems capable of filtering this out but not the StreamDeck, if you use R ALT on the StreamDeck with a non US keyboard (I use an English one) the Left CTL+Right ALT it outputs is not recognized as a Right ALT, well not in DCS anyway. I found a rather awkward workaround that seems to work. Go to Windows Settings/Time & Language/Language, select US English under the Windows Display Language, if it's not there add it from the Add a Language Option. Change the option from whatever language you use to US, you'll need to sign in again, which is a pain but that's it. You can then make up your HotKeys, the US keyboard only sends a Right ALT not a Right ALT+Left CTL. When you're finsihed, reverse the procedure and this is where is gets wierd. When I checked with my keyboard now set back to English, using a keyboard recorder tool, StreamDeck was now sending the same old Right ALT+Left CTL again, so I thought that didn't work, but it did, I went into DCS and my Right Alt+Left CTL was now being recognized as a Right Alt only............Happy Days. I haven't done extensive testing just a few commands so far but it looks like it's fine Of course not nearly as good as using the DCS Bios but it's better than not having the command at all
  22. To load skins go to C:\Users"YourName"\Saved Games\DCS*\ *or DCS.openbeta In there should be a folder called Liveries, (if there isn't just make it) inside that folder should be aircraft names for all the aircraft in DCS. There may not be, if there isn't then you'll need to make the subfolder Below are 2 pictures of my Liveries folder with the aircraft names, you need to use the exact folder name for the module or it won't work. You can also see that you use the Liveries folder for placing in different custom cockpits too. Anyway after the folder for the module is made place the folder containing the skin files into the module folder and it should show up in the game. One caveat, if the decription.lua file for the skin contains certain country names specified, the skin will only show up when that country is selected for the aircraft in the mission editor. If in doubt select US or Russia in the ME. If there is a country specified specifically for the skin it usually it contains the US or Russia (but not always) depending on the module. Hope that helps
  23. I haven't tried it in the A-10C yet, but that particular command gives a lot of people grief. I cannot get it to work in any module and it's not just me, there have been several threads about it. To be fair, I think it's a problem with Voice Attack rather than Vaicom. In theory it should work, in practice, VA recognises the command (most of the time) but doesn't execute it. Hollywood insists its all down to the timing used to say the command, but dammed if I can get it to work no matter what cadence I use Again I haven't written a command for the A-10C as I don't fly it a lot and don't even know if it's possible. For the modules I use frequently I got fed up with it and wrote my own command into a profile appended (or piggybacked) onto the Vaicom profie

  24. You can either reverse the axis in TARGET or you can use the in game option If you're only using TARGET to reverse the axis and nothing else you'd be better to use the Option that the game offers you as it will use less resources. In the axis page of the settings click on the the device, then select Axis Tune in that page there is a checkbox to reverse the axis
  25. Debolestos also offers tilted necks for the Hog grip, their labelled Tailpieces in the store. They are not cheap if you need one in metal but more reasonable in plastic. https://www.shapeways.com/shops/debolestis I use this one and really like it https://www.shapeways.com/product/MMJ88HH2S/thrustmaster-tailpiece-13-deg-ang-15-deg-off-m?optionId=59460400&li=shops Not condradicting what you say just pointing out there are options if you want to angle the grip
