  1. Half action = "laser ranging" Full action = Mark point (with coordinates) I normally use Area Track (AT) first, at range, and Point Track (PT) first when I'm closer. PT is very dependant on contrast, and I usually have to switch between WHOT/BHOT to get it to "lock". I also find PT to be a bit unstable, causing a break of lock to throw you back to RATES mode and lose track of target (very annoying on terminal guidence) - so I mostly stick to AT. A slight clockwise turn after pickle also helps eliminate "the 180 twist" for the seeker head, when passing directly over the target, useally causing the lock/stabilization to break. A part of NOSIG
  2. Keep in mind the difference of laser emitting code and laser receive code. You CAN change the frequency (code) you EMITTING (lase) from you LANTRIN pod in flight. You can ONLY change the frequency (code) the bombs RECEIVE (guide on), PRE-FLIGHT on kneeboard. Useally (AI-)JTACs in DCS use 1688 for lasing and if you've changed your bombs pre-flight to something else, they won't guide. It also seems that you bombs prefere the JTACs lase-spot over your own LANTRIN laser (if on same code), even if they are pretty far apart :-/ Pretty annoying when you're trying to pick out AA systems instead of AI JTACs random pick :-( A part of NOSIG
  3. I usually follow this checklist, with my squad, when someone reports problems with micro stutters Some might be old and no long applicable, but I try them anyway. Try; •RALT+ENT for fullscreen •F10 map and back to cockpit (fixed?) •RCRTL+KP 1-4 to change ASW (Oculus) •Restart game and/or computer •Disable "booster apps" - Intel Turbo Boost, Razer Cortax Game booster etc. (Dont know which or why but works sometimes) Feel free to add if I missed any... 4. Pre-orderd a MCG+GF3+extention... 4 month Kid bumped into me when paying, pressed "cancel order"... 0.5 sec Submitting ticket to "un-cancel" my order... 2min Waiting for answer... forever! *joy* *panik* *cry* *cry* *cry* A part of NOSIG
  5. When in half-action on HCU, hovering the DDD cursor over the last location of "tgt" use the +/- radar elevation (scrollwheel on HCU) to require target, then press full-action. Makes sense? A part of NOSIG
  6. RIO left side console, switch 1 on pic. Easy to check with SRS ingame overlay, selected UHF shown with "*" (LCTRL+LSHF+ESC) A part of NOSIG
  7. Anyone else have issues with SRS and F14 ICU? Ever so often the ICU (hotmic) starts having 5- 7 sec latency/lag, while UHF/VHF radio still is in sync. Only way I found around this is a restart of DCS and SRS. A part of NOSIG
  8. There is already a few training missions for RIO seat for coldstart and AWG9. Though i find the radar missions abit buggy due to textbox instrucrions not updating atm A part of NOSIG
  9. I too would like a curve, but maybe for another reason. I'd like to have a smoothness slider, much like there is in TIR. Atleast from the output part to screen/app. This would help to reduce all there twitchy, jerky headmovments for for streams and recordings. I really try to keep it in mind and compensate for it by moving the head slowly, but when I look at my recording/streams I, myself, getting nausea :-/ Think it's due to HMD users turning our eyeballs first and then head, and then the head "laggs" behind. I feel like I look at an switch/button/gauges+ some extra time for the viewer+some more time for good measure and then look back up = on stream it's still like "what the...? How did you see that?" 10. Im using OBS for recording since its free. Regarding the views, you really should check the controls since there are many diffrent views and possible combinations of views and padlocks. For ex you can set camera to ground unit perspective and then (pad-)lock the camera to either missile or attacking aircraft aswell as pan and move the camera around all the diffrent cameraviews/angels. Recommend to just play around with it at first. A part of NOSIG
  11. Wow awesome work @Miles! To be honest, I don't know what I'm looking forwards to most - the Tomcat module, your PointCtrl's or actually flying the module as RIO, using the PointCtrls to manage the system :-D Bet it will be awesome either way! Btw @Miles, did you get any of my PM/mails? A part of NOSIG
  12. Copy. No luck using it on DDCS server thou, get kicked back out to MP serverlist. No red IC shield thou. Will check if it applies on other servers A part of NOSIG
  13. Anyone care to share their script text to start up and run DCS associated programs through SkateZillas Program? Was 25ish years since last I did that stuff :-P I would like to start both SRS and SSA from launch. A part of NOSIG
  14. How much room will I need to make on my SSD for your module? A part of NOSIG
  15. Nice, love the modpack and especially the "autoupdate" possibility! Two questions thou; 1. Is there a changing for the updates? 2. Is the Caucasus texture pack not supposed to pass IC? Trigger IC when I enable it, but might be me being stupid :-P A part of NOSIG
  16. Got it working again! As you said a virus software issue. Well a windows upgrade+virus software issue acctually :-P A part of NOSIG
  17. Will as soon as my pc is put back together... just installed a new CPU cooler A part of NOSIG
  18. Anyone have problem with SSA app crashing? Did a new clean install of DCS and now SSA starts/connects, shows up in taskbar but crash/close down when my mouse hovers over it. Tried a new install of SSA but same problem. Can't find a .log file :-/ No way I can fly help without it :-D Sorry if this is the wrong forum, tried to scan but to many posts. Admin may delete or move it A part of NOSIG
  19. Total cost? A part of NOSIG
  20. A MQ-9 Reaper or simular UAV. We already have the 3D models, the sensors, lasers etc. Would be super cool and helpful with Combined Arms. I would make it myself except... I dont know how :-P A part of NOSIG
  21. Great! JEASTER is a slow writer, that means that there can be, at least, one benefit of having a human RIO. That's all I ask for :-D A part of NOSIG
  22. *Me failing to edit my post above*
  23. So as a VR-holic and future virtual RIO, and Tomcat crew, I've got a few "worries" about the upcoming module. Namely: 1) Jeaster AI is to much AI and to little human - he will spot, report and manage all systems faster and better than a human RIO - making MP pilots prefer JEASTER to a human RIO. Ideally would be that flying the F14 with only Jeaster is only 75- 80% effective vs 100% in Multicrew. 2a) RIO in VR, making it hard to see and find targets on the radarscope due to lower PD in VR. 2b) VR optimization causing low FPS due to all nice details (and prefered high PD, see 2a), this in combination with not controlling the flight inputs your self = motionsickness. 3) Lack of in-game tutorials and training for RIO position to be able improve as RIO outside online sessions. 4) Time separated ejection sequence making it a high probability for RIO to hit the canopy during ejection in a flat spinn ;-) A part of NOSIG
  24. @Miles Thou I'm on the list but currently don't have the money to join the initial rollout, can I make a request? A "promo" video of the device in use. So basically just you using it normally in DCS. Will help me motivate the need for this device, to my SO ;-) Hopefully it will reach the rest of the community as well :-) A part of NOSIG
