DC-3 & C-47 flights from Duxford to Normandy 75th Commemoration https://www.twitch.tv/dasvaldez

@Ronstub When you download the skin file it'll be a luftwaffe.zip or .rar you need to extract this using winzip or whatever so you get something like F:\Users\username\Downloads\luftwaffe\luftwaffe (the last folder hold all the texture & description.lua files) you need to take the last luftwaffe folder and paste it to User\Saved Games\DCS\Liveries\Yak-52\ so you have User\Saved Games\DCS\Liveries\Yak-52\luftwaffe and not User\Saved Games\DCS\Liveries\Yak-52\luftwaffe\luftwaffe then in game, when on a friendly airfield open the re-arm window (left ALT & @) and choose the livery form there or in mission editor, place an aircraft then in the load out menu for it chose the livery above the little 3d viewing window

@johnnypropeller, Sadly Lilkiki is no longer with us, so unless you have the services of medium on par with Tangina Barrons you'll be hard pushed to make contact to seek permission to use the BPC Mistral.

New version - link in first post **Could a mod change the title to VF-101 instead of my mistake VF-103 ;D please & thanks** Re-done from scratch almost, a lot less blue, smaller detail decals added can't get the droptanks to use the skin, and line in discription is correct for them afaik?? anyone had the same issue?
-
Still tweaking, there are only a few pic's of her online, most look light blue / grey mix, hard to tell without seeing in the flesh, it's had a few repaints, some look a lighter grey too

yeah don't know what's going on with the anti-glare, must be whatever way the texture wraps around the model, spent hours trying to get it in a straight line all the way down, but at the joint for the nosecone it either bulges inwards like it does now or bulges out at the join

Thanks guys, first attempt at doing skins so it's not to the high standard of some of the other guys here. don't look too close it kinda messy in places :D it'll be up on user files soon I think, but for now ** added to First post ** some more shots tweaked colors a bit

Great mod well done Jaybird, the sounds are so similar to the current in game you barely notice the difference hopefully ED might knock on your door and get added this officially. and build out some similar for the other planes in game I've edited all the Tomcat training missions to have the correct calls, also swapped out some with different squadrons for some flavor :D

Yes, standalone can run Oculus natively without needing either Steam VR or Oculus Home (IIRC) so you eliminate having another program open in the background hogging precious system resources -
It's a shame the ALT-J function for "Get In" and "Get Out" got removed / replaced for the "jump to" option years ago in the Flanker / Black Shark / A-10 days, used to be good to be able to get to of a plane on the ground and walk around to another and get in it.
-
Might be worth a try, some older mods you have to also assign controls to them in settings menu before it'll load up into a mission, without controls set you either get a locked cockpit, or it won't load in at all

if you run cleanup command, any not DCS offical files etc.. are moved to a _backup in the install directory, from there you can copy back anything you need or delete forever -
"EFM" Skid marks positioning Question.

I'd say you would need to find which part of the aircraft lua or edm files points to DCS World Bazar\Textures\TerrainCommon\track_wheel.png and change the co-ords for that to match the wheel base of the model -

from reddit, [–]callmepartario 6 points 10 hours ago they'll target the radar-emitting systems on the ground - the basic operation is you want to lob one like a softball - i've had the best success by aiming up 5 degrees or so from about 2000 feet - somewhere about 1.5-2.5 miles away of the target site. once the radar pings the missile, it'll aim itself as best it can, as it run out of fuel - the rest is up to the fin motor guidance. they don't have a fantastic success rate, but it's enough to get a SAM site down a good portion of the time.
