  1. While waiting for the proper Tomcat, The VSN F-14 mod has IRIAF Skins, you need to have Iran added to a faction other than neutral in the ME. and its a better looking model than the old Lockon fc2 stock one :D
  2. Ahh!! haven't tried to host a modded server in a year or two, that kinda sucks. I suppose everything is subject to change :D as the old saying goes
  3. not quite right (unless something changed recently) if you host a Server with mods enabled on it anyone can join, but if a player joins without a particular mod they will either not see it or will see whatever aircraft the mod is running from, example the F-14 / F-18 will show up as an Su-33 (or F-15) to other players without the mod, As a player with mods active you can only join a server that has full integrity check disabled, or has integrity with exactly the same mods running as the player joining, again other players will only see your mods if they are enabled and selectable as client on the server mission and if the other players are running the same mod as you

Try tweaking your trackir settings I get stutters if it's speed is too high anything above .7 and if the templates are set to anything other than smoooth, sometimes when there's Game updates for TIR it'll resets itself back to ONE:ONE and it gets jumpy as hell when going in game without changing it back to smooooth
  5. @FlankerMan have seen you ask about the big pics a few times now not seen an answer for you so here it is :D when you upload an image you click on your attached image so it opens the click again to get it in a new browser tab copy the url (rightclicking on the small image and using copy image address does the same thing) and paste it into the insert image button when creating a post that'll give the full size pics you can then either keep or remove the attachments
  6. @conrex1 Check the aircraft name in Liveries folder for the module you want to add to so dcs\mods\aircraft\liveries or dcs\coremods\aircraft\liveries example the Sabre module folder is \aircraft\F86 but he liveries folder is \liveries\F86F Sabre so in saved games folder create a liveries\f86f sabre folder and add the new livery there also make sure the livery you've extracted hasn't extracted into a second subfolder, this can sometimes happen so you end up with F86f sabre\NEWlivery\NEWlivery\all the textures files, when it should be just F86f sabre\NEWlivery\all the textures files
  7. check the user config file in your app data folder has updated the path correctly C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Local\Skate_Zilla_Graphics_Stud\DCS_Updater_Utility.exe_StrongName_???????????\1.1.0.0\user.config open it in notepad++ look for the Build_beta or Build release lines and check the the paths are correct

  10. anything modded into the Bazar folder were likely texture mods (terrain textures in particular) most especially terrain's won't work anymore in 2.5 Mods, Liveries, Scripts & Sounds folders are still usable in the Saved games folder, if you don't have them in there already just create the folders

Make sure you have the mod file structure correct within the Saved games folder, they need to match the main game folder layout, making sure it has the Mods\aircraft or Mods\ tech structure within its main folder so for example an installed & activated F18 or f14 mod should look like E:\Users\(USERNAME)\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods\aircraft\VSN_F14A\(mods files & folders) if running through OvGME the mod folder before activation should look like VSN_F14A+AFM VNAO v2.5.0.01\Mods\Aircraft\VSN_F14A\(mod files and folders) if it a ship or vehicle then it would have the tech folder Russian Naval Group KUZNETSOV\Mods\tech\Russian Naval Group KUZNETSOV\(mod files & folders) for liveries make sure folder name for the aircraft is exactly the same as the main DCS install for that aircraft E:\Users\(username)\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Liveries\VSN_F14A

Why is this still a thing the other thread about it was closed for a reason. original prices was $39.99, it was on pre-release sale of $29.99 on 7-Oct-2012 see here https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1499845&postcount=1 it's now gone back to it's original price of $39.99, get over it. it's one of the most regular discounted modules so wait a while and no doubt it'll go down to $9.99 again at some point in future and you can't compare it to a lump of hardware that gets replaced by new tech, the module gets constant (ok. maybe not super regular) updates but the vehicles get texture overhauls and model improvements, this takes several man hours to complete and wages for it has to come from the fee they charge for it.
  14. Have you done the usual checks, correct frequency for the field, is the airfield set to friendly in ME as per your aircraft side, do you have canopy / doors open, and some modules you need to be engines off before gc will even give you a howdy doody do.
  15. running mostly in the high 50's to 60's with small - medium amount of AI (50 - 100 units), dips to 40's in some areas not often though, have fps capped at 60 in MSI afterburner/rivatuner can get 70's to 90 uncapped but fluctuates too much and starts to stutter if uncapped need t play about a bit more (default maxfps in graphic.lua is 180) VR settings go low and DS off can hold 35 - 45 fps down in the weeds non vr setting in screens shots here https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3373297&postcount=1 can also run @ MSAA 2x and still stay in 40's to 50's ShiftieMover's been getting solidish 90's in his last few vids on 2.5 and he's on a 970 too
  16. Hey SkateZilla, not sure if this was asked yet? Is there any way (other than using OvGME to load a modified option.lua) to have the VR/On & VR/Off buttons choose a different graphics.lua / option.lua depending if you want to run VR or not, currently if running VR it'll load with whatever normal options you use for 2d monitor and FPS will tank if left unattended, so have to go in menus at startup in VR and lower each time the game runs, then turn them back up if/when going back to 2d
  17. +1 amazed at performance even with trees & grass @ 100% getting high 50 - 60 fps, was never possible before now :D Helo lovers paradise :pilotfly:

When approaching a raod bridge that cross over rivers & train tracks the LOD changes form a tarmac road to a shiny blue flitered texture when within 1200m if looking directly above them current graphic settings & Nvidia control settings attached also edit: seems to be happening with a few Roofs & floors of buildings (fuel stations I think)
  19. regular ms paint will do, right click on a .jpg or .png and select edit should open it in paint, then just size a canvas and cut and paste images to it. or if you want to be fancier try Gimp it's a freeware photoshop type program
  20. ahhh!!! similar to mine below, I just edit a .jpg and copy & pasted all the module images into one large .jpgs, you might be able to find some pre made
  21. you mean like a slide show of module background images? I think there was a lua edit that done that or had a random module image each time you returned to main menu, will take some digging to find again
  22. @FlankerMan, if you have FC3 it'll overwrite the Su-27 and any modules from the pack, and you'll be left with only the FC icon, you can however edit the enty.lua for the Su-27 here: E:\DCS World 2 OpenAlpha\Mods\aircraft\Su-27, or F-15, A-10A, Su-25A, Su-33, and MiG-29 whenever that gets it's own parking space :D find the lines below: (between line 19 & 22 in notepad++) change Disabled form true to false and you have the Su-27 Icon & background available again, this will get overwritten at updates though so make a OvGME of the entry.lua and activate & deactivate as required rules = { ["Flaming Cliffs by Eagle Dynamics"] = { required = false , disabled = false } },

  24. quick answer - he's a wizard :D I can't think of a way to do from within DCS itself, best guess maybe record the flight and replay from 6 fixed camera angles, throw the replay recording side by side in a video editor and process it like a 360 camera footage, if you look close you can see the box outline where each video view angle join together, the joins look like they've been slightly blurred to hide the hard edges
