  1. Fixed it! TY!
  2. A part of my share of work that praises this simulator and the great work behind it. Thank you everyone involved on making the dream of flight a reality.
  3. That was an amazing video. Thank you for sharing it!
  4. When you're controlling the yellow cross to interact with the cockpits the tool tips appear as usual. When you switch to mouse view mode the yellow cross disappears but as you move your view, any cockpit button that crosses first the last screen point the yellow cross were you get a tool tip appearing for that particular button/swtich. The tool tip only disappears when you switch back to cockpit mouse interaction mode and then mouse look mode. It was not like this before 1.5.
  5. Mine open beta 1.5 the Su-27, MiG-21 bis and the MiG-29 (AI Controled) have the exhaust plume effect enabled. I can confirm the F-15C lacking the effect.
  6. Omg, all those screenshots, they are so beautifull, keep them coming! :O
  7. I'm currently working on a 1.5 video and frequently I found myself amazed on how great the graphics now looks. ED, you guys are awesome, and everyone else involved. No color editing or anything else. Stock 1.5...
  8. F-15C blackish smoke trail from engines does seem absent. Has it been reported? MiG-29 and 21 are still there and some others...
  9. Cobra's fix worked here. For some reason it didn't rewrite the files from the first try. Scratch my previous post.
  10. No joy for me on this hotfix. 1.5 still crashes when loading to a player controlled MiG-21 scenario. Edit: nvm, it worked on the second try.
  11. If that's the case, it's much better than what's implanted on IL-2 Battle of Stalingrad. Re sizing 3d model of aircraft at distance is VERY misleading and confusing when making combat approach.
  12. The A-10C remains the backbone of my modules library for several reasons. The aircraft is VERY versatile. In my opinion is the most important module coded yet on DCS world. It is very complex and that makes you able to perform several tasks in different manners as you see fit. I got the bird before it's release, but without a decent CPU, I dug into it in the early 2013 only, the best 3 months in my simulation experience ever. It's a joy to fly. It's a whole new other game when you're in command of one. Really. RWR and targeting pod pilot synchronization to find a A-A defense system, configuring ordances fuses, CCIP ordnance deployment, CCRP ordnance deployment. Gun cross hairs for different situations and terrains and a whole lot more to play and to familiarize. I have the Su-25, and the 10C it's nothing like it, unless you go 80s style but still, it's another plane. I love the 25a and had a few months obsessed with she, it is a beauty of it's own. I cannot stress enough, if you like ground pounding, you should get the A-10C. I prefer more the Mi-8 than the huey for strangely unkown reasons from me. I haven't put a real thought about it until this moment. Both choppers are a delight. If you are into stealth or more a low key helicopter vibe, go for the Ka-50. It's almost like the A-10C with rotor blades on top. There's no mistake choosing the shark over any of available modules if it seems fit to you. (watch decent dcs pilots youtube videos, you'll get the feel) Edit: now I saw your last post. If you feel like the Shark is a great way to go; go for it! It's worth it! Even better with a wingman, and I believe is most recommended... There's a great depth on controlling the bird and when you get the hang of it, flying and destroying targets, it's heaven! Good hunting those MBTs!
  13. There's already the possibility to drop a single flare per use on the A-10C. Just setup the mode accordingly, 1 flare per cycle with any interval value. here's a fine enough video I guess, that shows the display configuration of the countermeasures modes at 0:45. Happy hunting Edit: damn, I haven't seen someone else posted about it. Sorry about this. :( Well, I'll make a quick question then... Will 1.5 and subsequently 2.0 be less system memory savy/intensive than current released build? In other words, who have some stutters here and there occasionally might get a smoother gameplay at 1.5? (even with requirements being higher at RAM amount?) silly question, but we never know... 8gb system Ram, 2gb Vram gtx 670.
  14. Not to be surprised. The amount of new information as DCS gets towards higher definition quality (mesh and texture) as 2.0 will allow is immense. To begin with, 2.0 will need 16gb system Ram as recommended and a GPU with 4gb of Vram. As new modules come, especially the ones with maps included via bundles and what not, I can see, in the best of scenarios, my DCS installation weighting towards 100gb of data at late 2016 early 2017 if I get my hands in some new maps.
  15. That 5 year ago A-10C purchase paying off. YES! 2010 when I got that beauty. People who won't get that for free, we all can make you sure that the money given to ED is always good money. These guys deserves every penny. Even though I might not get red flag campaign with the pre purchase of the warthog, I'll be happy to buy it in the adequate time for me. Waiting immensely the multiplayer on nevada map......I'm freaking out!! It's happening!!!
  16. Check under Su-25T 'weapon' controls the command: 'weapon fire'. That's the one to fire missiles and your gun. I believe it's not like the F-15C that has gun and missile fire in separated key bindings. Post back if it's functioning. Welcome to forums! o7
  17. My money is so ready! That's some quality work.
  18. That's quite an old thread, bud. For the issue: PAC is really active only when guns are selected stand alone: pressing C and the complex reticle shows up. (I believe there's some older thread on this being clarified) Tested on the open beta build: 1.2.16.42796.8 Apparently no manual PAC switch on/off command on control settings as of last previous open beta build.
  19. This camo reminds me of Nevada NTTR map. So much anticipation. :joystick:
  20. Shout out to Coltrogue at last night flight's escort on the 51st Korean War server.
  21. Blooze, you're considering the pilot's FOV is the same as the wide FOV lens that camera has. There's no "realistic" fov in the video. "after one entered the DCS A-10C cockpit one would have to zoom out to achieve a more realistic FOV" I do agree with that. Yes, wider FOV will always increase the sense of speed as the further from the center of the image faster the objects move. A direct image to the right or to the left will display the maximum object speed you can see from the seat and so on.
  22. Funny thing. A long time ago, I was playing some novalogic's F-16 simulator: Time period simulator category valid but not for today standards. i.e.: speeds were correct to the aircraft type so, moving on. A friend of mine who used to play a lot of ace combat or whatever the arcade plane shooting infinite missiles 50+g experience was in playstation 1 at the time. I never really got into those madness of games but I understand that they were good. My friend, watching that f-16 at 5,000 ft told me the game was too slow. No matter how low I got he was never pleased, even when supersonic. Exporting arcade games feel towards simulation games causes underwhelm. If your brain is used to images of those 50+g turns and bullet like accelerations you would end up making a thread to raise the actual model speed of a simulator at a certain distance to the ground only because it "feels" right. Somethings to keep in mind: caucasus map is old, and even older in some sections (north portion). Speed sensation is caused by objects and detail surrounding your POV as pittlebelge very well explained. As being an OLD map, the mesh is not quite there and even the textures. Actual 10 meters on the actual 3d world and simulation registration might not even feel 2 meters because of the texture's pixel size. A-10s are SLOW. If it feels slow up high, is because the simulator is actually working. If it did feel fast as a F-15, I probably wouldn't be typing this today, got my money back in 2011 or forgotten about Eagle Dynamics even existed after FC2. This is the video you should "kind off" be looking the sim to match: For speed sensation: buy F-15 or the Su-27 stand alone and full throttle at 30 meters from the ground anywhere on the caucasus map. It gets me every time.
  23. Win 10 pro. 30h+ on dcs from it. Zero issues.
  24. some testing with basic exposure and gamma correction ajustments. PNG, quality 100% on the graphics.lua. I promise this is the last for now :P.
