I look at it as a hover hold rather than an upper mode afcs function that really does put you in a hover when you tell it to. I try to get into a really stable hover then engage it, otherwise it seems to drift all over the show!!

Ditto, definitely not a super duper feature of Windows 7. I do like it much better than XP though, specially the boot times.

Well I just ran the benchmarks using Fraps and Windows XP SP3 and Windows 7 pretty much zero difference as expected (from Takeoff to Wheels Down on the Air Defenses or something like that demo). Think there's some over hyping going on here. It does look nicer than xp and feels snappy, but I don't know what else it does for you.

Is this turning into the R-27EA Su-27 saga of Black Shark :) Anyway after my online experiences in the KA-50 I pity their drivers going against any dual crew chopper with a turreted mounted cannon. I'm yet to be able to lock up another KA-50 at speed, yaw on to him and shoot while moving forward at speed, specially with the dodgy AFCS :) Don't even mention the turn to target :( Wouldn't be worried about radar guided SAMs you'll be dodging 30mm rounds!! Post tracks here if anyone can ... ps Love the sim though!!

Here's the crash logs, just freezes on a screen in multiplayer. Sound continues but I have to reboot to get back to windows. All appear to be similar. Archive.zip

Landed in a field with one rotor short yesterday on the 159th server after coping an Igla in the blades. Wasn't to hard but once I got it down there was no option to get out and have a look at the damage or to call for a lift back to the base. Came back and took at the lil b#$%$d with the cannon at 6000m in manual mode which was a surprise, would have thought the rounds would have been tumbling and dropping way short.
