Thanks for the quick reply Paul :)

Anyone know what the function of the UHF Status button is? In the sim it appears to take the frequency back to that of the selected preset Channel, but I can't find any reference to it in the Flight Manual.

UK people... where did you get your TrackIR?

I'd agree. Bob at RCSimulations is the man to speak to. :) -

Yea Blaster As I said above, the positioning and come to think of it the MFCD sizing will be off as this .lua is for V2.0 which is coming along well but still hoping for Helios V2.0 before publishing. Thanks for the offer. :) -
[How To] Export ALL Indicators like MFCD via ViewPorts

Hey Larry Just finished mine (late doing this as I was on a weeks vacation when 1.1.0.9 was released. This is mine below but you should bear in mind that it is slightly different to my profile v1.33 but should get you in the ball park. Just take 6084 away from my x's and add 1200 to my y's. And of course change your centre width and height to your dimensions. _ = function(p) return p; end; name = _('BMFCD'); Description = 'BMFCD' Viewports = { Center = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 6048; height = 1200; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; aspect = 5.04; } } RIGHT_MFCD = { x = 7454; y = 120; width = 445; height = 445; } LEFT_MFCD = { x = 6115; y = 120; width = 445; height = 445; } CMSC_SCREEN = { x = 6904; y = 141; width = 230; height = 49; } CMSP_SCREEN = { x = 7123; y = 190; width = 270; height = 70; } RWR_SCREEN = { x = 6634; y = 147; width = 200; height = 200; } DIGIT_CLOCK = { x = 6528; y = 830; width = 122; height = 122; } UHF_FREQUENCY_STATUS = { x = 6683; y = 565; width = 120; height = 30; } UHF_PRESET_CHANNEL = { x = 6796; y = 477; width = 30; height = 30; } UHF_REPEATER = { x = 6704; y = 695; width = 110; height = 30; } UIMainView = Viewports.Center -
[How To] Export ALL Indicators like MFCD via ViewPorts
Loz replied to icemaker's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
Thanks to all for the assistance in this thread. Now I've got the MFCDs, RWR, CMSP, CMSC, CLOCK, UHF REPEATER, UHF CHANNEL and UHF FREQ showing on my HELIOS panels and all in the correct place. Would have been a lot easier though if EMC had worked. -
Multi-monitor set-up guide & help (unofficial)
Loz replied to MadTommy's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
Just to add, the secondary is best "placed in windows" to the right but physically it can be wherever you want. The only tricky bit is getting used to which way you have to run your mouse to get to and from it. LOL -
Great find and although I have managed to get the Radio comms to spawn where I want, I cannot get the options, in particular the Rearm ones that are really long, to reveal. I get about 40 characters max even though the "box" for the text extends to the edge of the screen. If I set a border on the multicolumnlistbox it shows as expected to the edges of the coords but not the text within. I noticed on your example the Header text, \static ?? was also truncated. Anyway to extend that to include the whole text? Disregard I found it over Here Should have looked harder. But also found that you can do the same to the Header text as that is called "captionMaxLength" in the same file (CommandMenu.lua)

Multi-monitor set-up guide & help (unofficial)
Loz replied to MadTommy's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
I for one wasn't talking about using the TM MFCDs on a touchscreen monitor. If you do you are almost certain to interfere with the screen calibration and you certainly can't use cups or rubber pads on the "onscreen" corner. Since getting my touchscreen I've done away with the TM MFCDs and use exclusively Helios. -

Ok Sorry I'm using Win7. If you open the Start Menu and type at the bottom in the search, either Touch or Calibrate you should come up with, as an option, "Calibrate the screen for Pen or Touch input" It is also available in "Control Panel/Hardware and Sound/Tablet PC Settings/Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input" If you are not using Win7, I've no idea. Not even sure that touch screens are supported below Win7. -

It won't accept "minus" positioning of you MFCDs. Always start with your main monitor working left to right. Even though your .lua shows the monitor to the right practically you can then put the monitor where you want. You just have to remember (and it can be a bit confusing) to move your mouse to the right to get to it even if it is physically on the left. Hope that makes sense. -

Thats about the most "iffy" part of the setup. Calibration in windows is rubbish. But that's what I you have to perservere with. Type in the windows search/run Calibrate the window for pen or touch. You should get the option when you calibrate to skip to the next monitor by pressing "Enter" but then very often when you do touch the correct screen it doesn't register it. Sorry not much help I know. -

Yes and I used to get very similar but I was always getting a little micro stutter to the external graphic (ie view outside cockpit) so on advise here, I set a max fps 30 and it certainly has solved the micro stutter. It's smooth now. Any difference in our scores would probably be because I run mine at a slightly higher overall res 7968x1200. :) -

Hi Spike. I've set my max fps to 30 which seems to help prevent micro stutter that was sometimes evident. With full cockpit showing and near built up area it can drop down to 18 -19 in that config but if you go to HUD only view it's straight back up to 30. Here is the view you were after I think. This one with a very early version of a profile. The monitor stands I've made myself as the retail price for this sort of setup is ridiculous. In the UK if you search some of the Disc Jockey / Electrical wholesalers you can find the Universal VESA Brackets (they use them to hold monitors for Karaoke) The poles are speaker poles and the base mount is a speaker mount used upside down onto a Ply base that I painted black. Can't really comment on the SLI setup you propose but I am pretty sure that even with two cards in SLI with Nvidia you cannot run a fourth monitor. Someone else will correct me I'm sure if I'm wrong. Incidentally my setup runs off one of my cards as you can't do Crossfire in windows mode which is essential to enable the export of the MFCDs etc. But you can run 4 monitors off one card with AMD 6000 series. Good luck. :) -

Thanks for the headsup. This looks like very high quality work which I will keep an eye on for the VAD charts as you suggest. Hopefully the overall file size will not be prohibitive for putting them in my profile. -

I have tried, before using Helios, with a Portrait setup, just using my middle and bottom touch screen. If you run this as a main screen and the touch screen as an extended display in windows setup and then within the sim run in windows mode, you can use the touchscreen in game in the natural way. That is very immersive as you can TrackIR look around and it's easy to see and touch to impliment anything in the cockpit. It's just such a shame that as soon as you inlcude the side monitors in any setup, you then cannot restrict the touchscreen calibration to just that monitor. Or at least I've not been able to. -

Have you downloaded and read the manual. Better still there are some tutorials that people have put on YouTube that may be worth a look. My advice would be to load up a profile by Gadroc that has what you want, in a second window of the Profile Editor and after making sure that you have added the A10C Interface to your panel, copy and paste across what you want. (If you don't do that the bindings will not work.) Good Luck. :) -

This version 2.0 is not quite ready for release but v1.33 is and is here at www.scsimulations.com/downloads called Loz Single Monitor_1.33.rar and that has the same ICC panel. -

No probs. :D I was just interested in what you meant, but I fully understand. I think my driving force to get into this initially was to have easier access to the MFCDs, which are the hub of the Hog. And just like you, after trying the TM MFDs stuck to the bezel found that I really needed some ease of accessing the UFC and it sort of snowballs from there. I've always been a junky for graphics, and when I found that I could "Simise" the graphics on Helios, I just dived in trying hard to remember lots of PS techniques that I'd forgotten. LOL By the way I can't see your hidden pics. And for Hog Driver here is a still of the "look" I'll have to work on a vid. (Sorry for the crappy quality. Taken with the webcam)
