I you have a 6000 series ATI card and are getting a white flash texture in the vicinity of buildings, try turning HDR off and see if that stops it. Shame I prefer it now with the toned down HDR. Something else for ED to fix on 1.1.0.8 :(

I have it too. Using the 11.4 Catalyst drivers. I agree it only seems to do it in the area of buildings. Gonna try it without HDR. Well that was pretty quick to find a cure. It goes away without HDR selected on my setup for sure. Try it guys to confirm.

I think those things are too big and as I pointed, out you also need a cooler for the Vram. Best bet, I think, are these or something similar.

I'm not up on the latest with CPUs so can't comment on the benefits of a 2600K over the i7. However Metalnwood and I have spoken in PM a bit about the cooling of the 6970, as I also have two of them close together, and the temperatures that they generate, especially the primary, does give me some cause for concern. Having done quite a bit of web searching on this, I think the only viable alternative at the moment is water cooling. PowerColor already market one as reviewed here but as we already own the cards we should be looking at aftermarket solutions of which there are plenty on the web. Whilst to install this on to one or both of the cards is not going to be easy or cheap, it definitely would be a cheaper solution than going for a new Mobo and CPU. I have yet to make my mind up which way to go. I'm somewhat put off by the reality which is, at the moment neither of the two flight sims that I am currently using, this and Il2 CoD, utilise Crossfire and until they do I can't justify the cost. Until they do I should (but probably won't) really remove one of the cards!! :huh:

Make sure that line 2 of your Marcel_MFD.lua reads the same as how you want to save it. Looks to me like it will read " name = _('Marcel_MFCD'); " presently and you have then gone and saved it as Marcel_MFD2.lua. Also make sure you are doing your editing with Notepad++ as I'm led to believe that just using Notepad can cause errors. :)

Yes but only works in window mode ie: Not Full Screen (at least on the AMD GPUs)

So just where do you park up after completing a mission? I never know where to go to. I've even paused, and had a look using F11 and finding the right airfield, to see if any of the HASs have the doors open LOL I watched my wingman once after I'd come to a stop outside a closed HAS. He knew exactly where to go. As soon as he approached his chosen HAS the doors opened and in he went. :pilotfly:

I'm just amazed that anyone with any knowledge of this sim, or recent PC sim history, would suggest that this is overpriced. Or to suggest that they will improve their profit by selling it cheaper. Sorry I don't see where you are coming from. Along with most of the others here I think this is very reasonably priced. This is not just a game but a full study simulator. Fantastic software. I've spent far far more equipping my PC in the last year to run this sim as best I can. LOL :pilotfly:

Yes the HDR effects are better now for sure but still doesn't work with ATI Cards in Eyefinity 6000x1200. (1-3 FPS)

From that I gather that you are running both monitors in a vertical setup?! As you must be running in window mode just alter your total y res to something less and then you can use your mouse to move the screens either up or down to avoid the clash. (If I'm reading you correctly :)) I've just tried it and it does work.

Yes that's an awful lot of extra x res for bezel compensation. LOL
