Nice work. But I'm sorry to say with regard to my earlier post, that you must have had too much to drink over Xmas if you think that horizon looks correct on you screens. :) LOL But seriously when you roll the aircraft the horizon becomes Z shaped!!
-
Is there any reason that you use 3 screen display for your main view?? The distortion that you get across the horizon when you roll the aircraft would be a real show stopper for me. It just don't look right, you get a better realistic representation of the outside with one screen ie: eyefinity. It shows up really bad on your screen dump image above and in your video.

If I remember correctly, on mine at least, if I set up the camera position that I want with TrackIR off and then save it to that (with Rt Alt Numpad 0, as long as you've allowed saving in the View.lua DisableSnapViewsSaving = false, then with it back on again, the TrackIR works around the new position. :)

@tadswana Have you tried the cockpit camera move back command ? Right Ctrl, Right Shift, Numpad /

[How To] Export ALL Indicators like MFCD via ViewPorts
Loz replied to icemaker's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
I'm not sure what you mean. The UHF frequency repeater only shows the preset channel that is selected (125.xxx is a VHF frequency) and to the best of my knowledge, has never shown a full UHF frequency. Mine are working as normal with 1.2.2 and the latest update on 26 Nov. In Helios terms that one is the "UHF_REPEATER" and rightly should show the same output as the "UHF_PRESET_CHANNEL" (which if you are using my profile or a version of it, should only show when you "pull out" the "Radio Console") So from what you've said above, things are correct and maybe your mistaken. :( -
Why am I *still* having problems clicking on the QUIT menu?
Loz replied to GregP's topic in General Questions
I've got the same problems too. :( -
I've got exactly the same. Thought I'd give the latest version of SoftTH a go everything works fine with the exception of my mouse buttons. The mouse moves around the screen OK, can use it for mouse look as well but there is no response to either left or right buttons. ??????

Triple Screen + Touch - how would you set it up?
Loz replied to Treudd's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The main advantage that I have seen when I used SofTH was that you can still use the touch screen monitor calibration and it works properley. If you render the same using eyefinity the monitor calibration extends to the whole of the four screens rendering it useless. (ie you can't touch the instruments on your fourth monitor to get them to work. The pointer appears elsewhere on the overall screens) The thing that puts me off using it like this, is that because of your in game "eye" position, you seem to be looking down at the instrument panel at an acute angle. Oh and I don't think anyone has answered you re crossfire. If you run in fullscreen mode then it is definitely advantageous to DISABLE Crossfire, else the framerate hit is enormous. If you run in Windowed mode though (FullScreen box unticked) then it matters not as Crossfire enabled cards only run off one GPU in any case. Hope that makes some sense. :) -
Just re read and all my changed files are in the _backup.000 folder. Just have to copy and paste back in. I'll remember for next time. ;)

Must have read this wrong but thought that any changes to the Mods Folder would be carried over when auto updating! Just done DCS World 1.2.2 update and had to change the "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\A-10C\Cockpit\Scripts\AN_ALR69V\indicator init.lua" (plus all the others.) in order to get my exports working for my Helios panel.
-
Thanks for that Airdog. The latest flight manual pdf still shows it as "Flow Fuel" but in the text and indeed of course in the game it is correctly called the "FLOW LEVEL" I have changed my .png for the panel accordingly. Thanks again. :)

Don't think you can. :( -

See here I'm guessing you have yet to change the C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\A-10C\Cockpit\Scripts\AN_ALR69V\indicator AN_ALR69V_init.lua!! :music_whistling: PeterP has made this zip file just for this and the other exports if you add them later. :) -
Anyone not seen Helios in Action with DCS A10-C
Loz replied to Loz's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Glad you are enjoying it Dachs, and thanks for the compliment, but I have to add that my work really only complimented some fine work done by others, in particular, of course, Gadroc, without whom it could not have happened. I have often pondered why he did not make a more realistic looking tool set, but I suppose apart from it being only applicable to DCS A-10C there might also have been a problem of copyright with Helios, initially being a full commercial venture. But thanks again  -
Off topic, I know but couldn't resist. Comes from the expression "talking till you are blue in the face." ie: talking so much that you are not getting enough oxygen and showing the deprivation in your face. Commonly used this side of the pond.

300 feet per nautical mile is easier to remember and more correct. Sorry Anal hat off.

Good decision Docfu. Adds so much more to the immersion, and although the touchscreen is not so essential for general windows use, the four screens are certainly helping with watching as many Olympic live feeds on the BBC, as I can. ;) -

Thanks Cowboy Sorry to say that I haven't made a BS profile but if you look in the downloads section of Gadroc's new site http://www.gadrocsworkshop.com/downloads you will see that the man himself plus at least one other has. Good luck :D -
Now that the DCS World is out of Beta, I've installed and I'm really disappointed, that like you that I can no longer just use my touchscreen to activate the comms. COME ON ED this can't be that difficult to put right.   And what was wrong with the old Font and size before. This new one is too small and not at all distinctive?? Do the devs ever read these forums FFS.

Ooops That didn't quite work out as expected. Now when selecting the Status Bar on in F2 view it also comes on and stays on in Cockpit view. NOT what was wanted, back to the drawing board Can anyone who know what they are doing with .lua programming tell me how to change the StatusBarDialog.lua to achieve it being off by default and to come on when you select CTL=Y ?? Please.
-
Love it love it. One of the things that has been annoying me since LOMAC, is now changeable. I've always thought that if you go to exterior view (F2) that the status bar should NOT be visible and only selectable with CTRL + Y if you wish to view it, and now with a small change to the StatusBarDialog.lua it is. I'm not a programmer so there may be a more elegant way to do this but by two small changes from line 36 on, it now only shows the Status Bar when you want it. Switch the "false" and "true" as highlighted in red below. I've also change where the status bar appears on my Eyefinity as shown below, and the settings I've used in the StatusBarDialog.lua in the spoiler below. (Edit: Note this is for my 6048x1200 setup with bezel managemnent) Many thanks to both for the help. :)

Worked for me. :D Finally got around to installing DCS World and configure with Helios. All back to normal now, but I don't see any increase in Frame Rate that some posted of.
-
Can't add to your Rep (yet again) but great work PeterP, I just hope the devs are taking this all in and that they correct it for the eventual release.

Multi-monitor set-up guide & help (unofficial)
Loz replied to MadTommy's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
I've just posted here on Gadroc's new Helios site Forum a workaround where you can use a Joystick button (or could be easily changed to a keystroke) to toggle the Helios panel off and on. It would then show the map over all your monitors. I know it's not exactly what you are after but it achieves the same purpose.
