Not too much to me LOL Never had much to do with networking but have a look over at scsimulations.com where I think I have seen some threads relating to that. :D

Been waiting for quite a while to be able to finish my v2.1 of the Helios panel for A-10C and with the latest version, released just last night, I can finally call it complete. What do you think? Helios Front Panel. In sim front panel shot at the same moment. Both the Helios software (which is donation ware) and my profile (free of charge of course LOL) available at www.scsimulations.com These shots show the front instrument panel but in my profile there are 8 hidden pullout panels for Left and Right console, Radio panel, Airport Chart panel, UFC, TISL panel, CDU and Warning Panel, and Lighting Panel. You can view all of these in the A10C download section of the Helios site. Just look for the file Loz SM v2.1 If you like the look of it and you have a spare monitor to run it on then I cannot recommend Helios highly enough. A great addition to both this and Black Shark.

Two TM MFD versions - which one to go for?
Loz replied to Supersheep's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Supersheep The "show-stopper" is that the earlier version were of a much poorer component quality and usually had some sort of fault straight out of the box!! -
Absolutely agree with all the above. Had mine since they first went on sale and the only problem I've had was my own fault for screwing up a firmware update on the stick. TM replaced it pretty quick. Well worth the money. :)

Mhe If you've had a look at my Helios profile you will know I spawn mine underneath the Eng Instrument panel which disappears when the Radio Comms menu is shown. There is a good guide here by PeterP. Don't know whether it will help but as you said on YouTube our setups are almost the same. LOL Here is a look at my FUI/Resources/Radio/menu.res \dialog \begin \tag{-1} \coord{0, 20, 1024, 800} \color{50, 50, 50, 50} \musthavecursor{0} \drawitself{0} \acceptmouse{1} \fixedposition{0} \dontinflate{12} \onmainview{0} \layer{1000} \bordercolor{255, 255, 255, 255} \hasborder{0} \end \static \begin \tag{2} \coord{922, 37, 1024, 768} \color{200, 200, 200, 50} \drawitself{0} \fonttype{font_arial_17} \fontcolor{255, 180, 0, 255} \alignmentleft \dottail \hasborder{0} \caption{} \end \multicolumnlistbox \begin \tag{3} \coord{924, 420, 1024, 768} \defaultitem{Radio/command_list_box_item.res} \columnswidth{334} \marker1{Radio/command_list_marker.res} \bordercolor{255, 180, 0, 255} \visiblescrollbar{0} \hasborder{0} \readonly{0} \end

[How To] Export ALL Indicators like MFCD via ViewPorts
Loz replied to icemaker's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
That is correct. It just shows the UHF preset channels, 1 to 20. You can set these to what you require on the UHF panel using the load button, under the lift up flap. -

[How To] Export ALL Indicators like MFCD via ViewPorts
Loz replied to icemaker's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
Looking at your CMSC_init.lua Mine has {render_purpose.GENERAL, render_purpose.HUD_ONLY_VIEW, render_purpose.SCREENSPACE_OUTSIDE_COCKPIT, render_purpose.SCREENSPACE_INSIDE_COCKPIT} at the last line of your script NOT just {render_purpose.GENERAL} as yours has. Here is my CMSP_init.lua Hope that helps -
[How To] Export ALL Indicators like MFCD via ViewPorts
Loz replied to icemaker's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
The exports, MFCDs, CDU, CMSP, CMSC, RWR, UHF Freq, UHF Repeater, UHF Preset Channel, and Digital Clock are all exported to another Monitor via the Monitor Setup .lua as a function of the Sim. Then you can overlay on that either with Helios or Hawgtouch the instruments, including the RWR facia that I mentioned along with just about everything else in the cockpit. Have you been to the scsimulation.com to have a look? All the info is there. :smartass: -
[How To] Export ALL Indicators like MFCD via ViewPorts
Loz replied to icemaker's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
If you looked at anyone elses exports without the Helios profile over the top, they would look the same. The rings have to be part of the RWR facia / panel. -
Yea Worked great pre 1109 but not at all now. IceMaker said he would change it for post patch but nothing as of yet. :(

[How To] Export ALL Indicators like MFCD via ViewPorts
Loz replied to icemaker's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
What is even more intriguing is why does this for some, like myself, get done by the sim automatically and others like yourself have to change it yourself. I haven't touched that file but on checking find that the aspect is in my case 7968/1200 = 6.64? -
I should have said, this is not my hard work but a very kind gift. Special edition with my first RAF Sqn markings. Luckily although now a Support Helicopter Sqn flying Chinooks, it was during the Second World War a Bomber Sqn. It has the Serial number of the first aircraft I soloed and the Sqn Hull letters of a Chinook that I broke. (Badly although hasten to add was not my fault but a technical defect.) Sqn Tac Badge and Crest on the ladder door make this a very special A10C to me. I think this will look even better over the Nevada map.

Nice Paul I like the single colour one taken from the Tornado. This is my favourite. Special RAF No 18(B) Squadron version. :smilewink:

Which 1920 x 1080/1200 Touch Screens for Helios?
Loz replied to DTWD's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
You can see from my Sig that I use an HP2310ti, which I am very happy with. It's very reflective which is a bit of a contrast to my main Eyefinity Dell monitors, but they are exceptional quality. (and exceptional price to match LOL) My setup is shown here if it's of any help to you. Also gives you a good idea of Helios in use. By the way there is generally no need to run helios on a second computer, as it's overhead is very small. -
Multi-monitor set-up guide & help (unofficial)
Loz replied to MadTommy's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
Irrespective of Helios, if you want to export anything to another monitor, you have to be in windows mode. -

EMC will not postion things properly post 1.1.0.9. You have to adjust the .lua files and your monitor.lua to get them all in the right place. Lots of info here from post #112 onwards, on how to do it. -

Loz replied to MadTommy's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
Absolutely untrue!! It does support Crossfire and SLI, just very badly. In fullscreen a simple check will show you that they work but the frame rate is much worse than with a single GPU and only utilises approx 60% of each GPU. My experience is with an AMD HD 6970 others may vary. -

Loz replied to MadTommy's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
Yup but that's how all of us who export out of the sim for MFCDs etc have to run our setups. Until something is changed radically then in this sim at least the SLI/Crossfire is wasted. -

Loz replied to MadTommy's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
OK I'm not using Nvidea myself but with the AMD GPU, in windows mode, the Crossfire is not used, so I would try to disable the SLI to see if that makes a difference. Maybe someone with Nvidea SLI can help, but it wouldn't hurt to try it like that. -

Are you running in Windows Mode ie: NOT full screen? -
Whoever told you that eyefinity would improve your Situational Awareness?? But the immersion, as you say, is definitley a plus. The increased sense of speed through peripheral view is undeniable and well........ it just looks so much better period. If someone is on a limited budget then, I would go with the advise that TIR and a good HOTAS should be way up the list. IMHO :)
-
The 6000 series AMD cards support up to four monitors, the only proviso being that you will either need two of the monitors to be DPI or have adapters DPI to DVI. (afaik the Nvidea only support 3) For the price of the Cougar MFCDs and two 7" usb mini monitors you wouldn't be that far off a Touch sreen monitor that can do so much more with in either HELIOS or HawgTouch. Disregard this, however if you are looking at making any "physical" sort of pit.

Now fully functional since 1.1.0.9, for those who hadn't noticed. As is Canopy Jettison Handle!! Still no little guys running about though LOL :)
