I totally agree with you Neil! And a good module is a good module whatever era it is! Flying low and slow, managing energy and oil spitting engine could be very fun i think! :pilotfly:

 aircraft older than my grand pa! No reliability at all! Twsisting airframe! Rotating engin with outrageous torc effect spitting oil on the pilot! Minimum measuring gauge!Machine gun shooting on the propeller or better, synchronised! And winter suit for the pilot all year long! I'm in! Thinking about it while ago :pilotfly:

between 8000 and 12 000 meter! but sometime higher, reaching 15 000. It's easier at higher altitude!

While flying the MiG-21 to intercept something, I overspeed so many time!:( Is there a way to avoid the overspeeding flame out thing and cruise around mach 2? The way I do it is maintaining the afterburner low and shuting it up from time to time!Is there a way to do it more efficiently?

Maybe I could do the RIO job, but only if the pilot is way better than me! If not, forget it! And it could be a good way to learn how to Master the beast. Thinking about it, I should begin to pratice carrier landing (F-18, F-14 are coming) :helpsmilie:....!!!!!!!!!

Thanks... finally:D

1. Searching for a decent flight simulation for years, I find it, purchased a new computer and enjoy a very good fly sim for the first time in 8-10 years (my cracked a-10 cuba CD finally died, and thinking about it I cant remember what i have done with my MS sidewinder). 2. Maybe 25 years ago, I was very Young! 3. Look pretty fast, even on a carrier deck with the wings at 68 degree! 4. It was awesome 25 years ago, now its more like : ''no you cant talk like that maneuvering it this way!'' And : ''hose him, HOSE HIM YOU D..B S..t B.....d!'' 5. NO WAY! Cya

NORTHMAN replied to uboats's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
I want to buy my first WW2 aircraft (i'm still waiting for the spitfire:cry:) and I have no idea about the bird I should buy. I dont care about takeoff and landing. I read Dora is the faster and kurfurst the one who turn tighter (maybe i'm wrong!:noexpression:). Maybe you can help me figure out what I should buy!Best dogfighter, best at everyting, just need advice.:pilotfly: Thanks -
What are the ugliest jet fighters ever built?

It's a ground attack aircraft but... http://www.flankers-site.co.uk/modl_il-102.html -
¨ MMM yeah! EWR and CGI! not exactly sure what you mean by these acronym. I understand its probably a ground directed radar and the early warning radar! A bit more explanation could be good! I'm not bashing you, your argument are a bit hard but valid!

I cant say I love it but its interesting!

So you want to Land Helicopter on Ship...

Aimless Assumption: WWII Pacific from Leatherneck is Next
NORTHMAN replied to Zakatak's topic in Heatblur Simulations
And what about Hawaii, i mean it could be a good place! With a lots of airport for the red and blue team, mountain, valley, road and small city. This way you can accomodate people whitout carrier base aircraft! And finally Pearl Arbour..:D -
I support this wish, I read somewhere MiG-15 can be load with rockets! And we really need it:)!

:megalol::megalol::megalol: Ok, looking like you are a flogger fanboy, but facts is fact, this is not something that can happens.:music_whistling: ist called turkey because its a very large airplane, with wide wingspan and a turkey is a very large bird with very large wingspan! (maybe you dont understand, people called planes: bird:huh:). BVR and in a dogfight F-14 will crushed any flogger you throw to combat! I know you dont like this! F-14 wad builed as an interceptor but was a very good dogfighter from the beginning! sincerly, I apologize for everyone who could be offence by this writing! ist a dogfight writing involving me and foxbat!:lol::lol: That said, it should be good to find evidence about maneuverability ( in the real world, with non-fictionnal facts) of the F-14. Because its a thread about it.

Ha.. F-14 and the pleasant (maybe, I hope) probe and drogue system! I know its the lower flow rates air refueling system, but it look easier to use! Maybe just impression:huh: I practice air refueling with F-15 and I cant says its funny at all. I dont have module with probe and drogue and cannot compare it. And about the tanker, I cant say what it'll be (the VEAO airbus coult be good enough) but I feel like leatherneck will not let us thirsty in the air!
-
??? Is there any proof of it, I dont see the flogger maneuvering at all in every video i can find! I see it roling and, well, nothing more! I' not saying i'm right, but I cant find any evidence! Mig-25 and MiG-31 are not dogfighter... its true.. shoot missiles and full power turning back! so well thats it! :D
-
OK, yes you're right and I know it! I mean its a flight simulator forum here and people has experiment exactly what you're write (probably almost every one), no one write it like you do but I assume people here are smart (majority..), and understand exactly what we are talking about!

I really dont think the Flogger stand a chance againt F-14! The IAI Kfir, is a good question! The bird look a bit like a mix of MiG-21 and Mirage. Look the disign of it, its made for speed, probably not able to turn thight enough (its just a supposition), Wings are small, big engine, canard could change something (better turning rate like rafale, or better instant turn like eurofighter). Its just a guess, maybe I'm wrong about it! I think F-14 sould win...

A really great old video. I really love the older documentary over the latest (in my opinion, the video show how its better and why! not saying its the best in the world every 20 seconds like the apache documentary I saw last week lol:doh:, I really love the apache/longbow by the way:D). You can see the F-14 maneuvering, turning hard, make a climb to show how you can take advantage of the very large wings! That said, the video is all about F-14 vs T-38 (supposed to be a very maneuverable aircraft), A-4 and F-4! It should be a great tactics against MiG-21 but I dont think you can do the trick you see in the video against the latest air superiority fighter! It look like: do it and you're dead. Thanks again Woogey for the video links, the F-14 action I see there is very satisfying!:D
-
But only if manual sweep is modeled. Manual control for swip wings is the number one features in my opinion and its the number one priority... if not  and:( and  and ! Leatherneck made a very high quality MiG-21. no reason for not doing it with this future awesome module! Somebody else have information about manouver the cats, G load or Q factor, max AoA! I know the cobra maneuver can be done!:music_whistling:
-
I take a look at Discovery wings. And during the top-gun explanation you can see the tomcat pursuing an f-5 and its maneuvering pretty hard behind it!Really love this old documentary... F-5 is so small, and F-14 so large and bulky! very impressive but no more clue about other planes.:thumbup:
