The day only has 24h... I'm sure Razbarm is working hard to sort out all the bugs and problems, but there is no way, they can fix everything at once. Patience is the key

I never said, that a designated point is moving. But you can designate a moving target like every other target, if you are not aproaching this target head-on or from very high altitude. You don't have to aim ahead. In his specific case (head on), he should aim ahead, but I would try to avoid such a approach.
-
Again, you designate a moving target the same way, you would designate a non moving target. The designation has NOTHING to do with the guidance. The designation only tells you, when and where to drop the bomb. In you specific example (.trk file) the relativ speed of your target is simply too high (because of a head-on approach), and the bomb can't catch the laser. The seeker has only a limited gimbal, and if the laser is too far behind, it won't find and track it. That would be the same in other modules.
-
I would say that in your case the following case has actually occurred. Because you are moving head-on towards the target and the target is moving head-on towards you, the distance is too short and the target is already almost under your aircraft, so that the bomb can no longer "catch" the laser. I would choose the approach differently. Either approach from further away, but I think you should approach from behind (or diagonally behind). (by the way, you forgot which fuze you want to use, but that has nothing to do with the actual topic).

It IS close enough (if the target is not a race car @topspeed and you are not flying with 100kts )... I was bombing moving targets today many, many times without any problems (using the method, I described above).
-
If your target is not moving at 300+ km/h, that is perfectly ok. Also, if you have boxed "CDES", the position will be permanently designated. The original designation just tells your computer to drop the weapon here, and that should be close enough for the bomb, which is then directed by the laser, to reach the target. The only requirement is that 1. the target is not extremely fast and 2. you are not extremely slow, so that the bomb has enough energy.

need evidence F1 EE flight model tweaks coming?
felixx75 replied to Harley Davidson's topic in DCS: Mirage F1
The F1 does not behave as you expect it to. That is also completely ok. But it has been pointed out by many players here, but especially by the devs, that the module in DCS is pretty close to the actual behavior of the real aircraft. But of course all of them are not right and you are trying to prove that at all costs. Maybe it is time to realize that it could be that you are NOT right. As you know, you are not allowed to post manuals here, but there are sites where you can buy them. It is also no secret that Wikipedia is not necessarily the most reliable source in these matters. For example, there is no mention of which version it is. For this reason alone, it does not really make sense to use this. -
If you don't designate, you won't know when to drop your bomb. But the bomb is not guided by the designation, but by the laser.

Than you might be doing something wrong... For me it works just fine

What is in Wikipedia is definitely the perfect source for reliable and comparable data... Just saying... -
You don't have to designate ahead of your target. I never do that and always hit the target. I find my moving target, establish a point track, designate (CDES boxed) and that's it.
-
I've actually never had the problem of not hitting a moving target unless I aimed ahead of it. I don't have this problem in the F-15 either. However, I may not be trying to hit a target that is moving at 300kph.

Since such a system already exists in the M2000C, it will certainly also be available for the F-15E in the future.
-
It will damage the systems, if no cooling is present, but it's not implemented yet.

F-4E Phantom Development Report - DCS Newsletter 31/03/2023
felixx75 replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
It's not their 1st module, so I'm sure, they won't miss it by 1+ year(s). But it seems, that they added more features for Initial release, so it could happen that the module is delayed by 1 year or longer. -
Ability to set WSO switches before start up in "Solo Flight"
felixx75 replied to 777coletrain's topic in Wish List
Ok, you can wish whatever you want to, but why should one set the TEWS or CMD in the rear cockpit, if nobody will be there? And why would you need a TEWS anyways, because nobody will fly a F-15E solo in a combat mission -

Everything you need to do for a real solo flight, you can do in the front cockpit, otherwise the aircraft would not be certified for a solo flight. Use the "disable multicrew" option and everything is ok. If you don't like the WSO model, don't look at it. "Solo Flight" is proper simulated, and this is good as it is -

felixx75 replied to 777coletrain's topic in Wish List
I honestly don't understand the need.... "Solo Flight" simulates a real solo flight. In this case you will not have to switch anything in the rear cockpit. You would never fly a combat mission in the F-15E without a WSO. But if you want to fly alone on a multiplayer server, for example, the "Solo Flight" option should not be checked, but "Disable Multicrew". This way you fly alone, because nobody can enter the 2nd cockpit, but you can still switch between front and rear. -

AUTOPILOT -- pitching up and down in ALT HOLD
felixx75 replied to SDsc0rch's topic in Bugs and Problems
Yes, the AP starts to oscillate, as soon it catches the preselected altitude and tries to hold it. If you just push Alt Hold (without preselecting the altitude), it works fine. -
