So relieved it's nothing I've screwed up at my end but if only I had known, I could have put the last hour to better use.. Why can't they tell us about things like this.. (have they, did I miss it)… maybe.. if so, sorry

Which Version of DCS World will you stay with?
slicker55 replied to iKyrThraad993i's topic in DCS 2.9
Returning after a lengthy break (house renovation) - loads of updates all round - need to save as much SSD space as possible so it's OB for me and delete the rest -
Switching the PC on and returning to DCS after a forced break (12 months) to undertake a house renovation ... I was expecting to spend a few nights updating Windows 10, DCS and other out-of-date stuff on my computer but... Jesus... (what happened!) 38 pages on and I am totally confused but, thankfully feel more at ease now that I have just read this post (see above) - many thanks :)

. I have recently installed a new Pioneer 5.1.4 Dolby Atmos Home Theatre System. I am currently contemplating what to do with my old gear - Onkyo AV receiver, Kef satellite speakers and active subwoofer. I have been reading some old threads which have still left me wondering if multi-channel surround sound is fully implemented in DCS? Should I simply sell my old kit or would I be missing a trick? Does anyone know if it would be worth me hooking this up to my DCS rig? Asus X99-S motherboard - 8 channel audio with DTS support .

I've just found this rather old thread (voted for W10) and surprised this OS hasn't got higher results. I don't know whether the amount of votes in favour of W7 would still be so far ahead of W10 if this poll was re-run 7 yrs on? Maybe it's time to start the poll again?

I know I will buy it sooner or later - I won't be able to resist it and heck, I've got nearly all the modules including the Spitfire so it's only a matter of when... I just wonder how long the 20% discount will be running for?

As I thought - Thanks

Maybe the answers to these few questions have already been posted elsewhere but I'm a little too busy with something else at the moment so bear with me please... Is the 'assets pack' just for those who like to build missions - what happens if you want to fly a mission which includes items from the pack but you haven't purchased the 'assets pack'... will this mean these items just won't show up or will you not be able to fly that mission?
-
So here's what they say right at the bottom of their latest email... The DCS: Normandy Map and the DCS: World War II Assets Pack will be available as a 20%-off, pre-purchase bundle for $47.99. Upon release in late May 2017, the DCS: Normandy 1944 Map and DCS: World War II Assets Pack bundle will be sold for $59.99, and the stand-alone DCS: Normandy 1944 Map for $44.99 and the stand-alone DCS: World War II Assets pack for $29.99. Note: Those that took part in the DCS: World War II Kickstarter campaign, and provided a high enough contribution to receive the Normandy map, will receive the assets pack for free. It's quite simple - you will make a saving if you pre-order

Panp, Just replace with graphites and in the unlikely event she notices, look very disappointed and say it's a defect in the paint. My wife is watching me type this and she say's this is 'well sneaky'.... -

Move Radio & Message windows near Right screen mod
slicker55 replied to Snacko's topic in DCS Modding
This is a GREAT mod for triple screen users - well done Snacko! -
I'm getting the hang of it now .... many thanks though...

Joey45, Thanks for your quick response - I will try again using your advice... To clarify, I can move the camera around the cockpit in all directions and zoom in/out. This is a bit difficult to explain but I think I need to find a way to strafe both horizontally and vertically in order to get directly overhead the panel.
-
Hi Guys, I'm new to modelviewer Last night I tried to view the internal side panels in the Mirage cockpit. I want to view each panel from directly overhead and grab screenshots of the switches. I got very close but couldn't move the camera far enough over to the left to gain the precise vantage point. Did I reach the limitation of the camera's viewing angle or am I doing something wrong? :book:

cheers guys - just wanted to check :)

Do you know what the QRA switch is called in the list of keyboard bindings in DCS. I want to map a key but can't find it.
