  1. I just copied and pasted both 1.5 and 2.0 and both seems to work fine. The only thing I changed are the shortcuts targets. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk
  2. Try to set frequency in the FM radio im the a10 with mouse locked on the center of your view or reach a switch somewhere behind you :) this feels far from natural to me. As was already pointed real life you dont have to stare with laser accuracy on every switch or button to operate it, you dont stare at your turn indicators in your car do you? :) The controls one would need in hot situations should be mapped on the hotas. 3. What kind of lefthand trackball you have? Was it hard to get used to operate it with the left hand(assuming it is not your preferred) Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk
  4. Nice explained, thank you. But anyway it looks both project cars and flyinside managed to make the scale adjustable which more or less solves the problem with the scale. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk
  5. If it was fov, you will see some distortion in the edge of the screen and when something is next to you it will appear like it is in front, you will get motion sick and 1:1 head tracking will feel strange. It is simply a general scale. Yes objects compared to each other are correct but this doesn't mean the scale is 1:1 to the real world. And I will repeat again everyone that cant imagine the scale in the 3d world go and download demos of xplane/flyinside and play with the scale and then come back here to say what it is. 6. ED should do all aircraft for MP the same with different skins and balance problems solved :) Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk
  7. Removing amraams also breaks the immersion :D Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk
  8. Even though it is far more simulated than fc3. Note that this irst of the russian jets is far less effective irl, it doesn't work in heavy clouds, moisture, rain, hot sun etc.. obtaining a lock with it is much harder irl than in DCS. HMS is very arcady, irl isfar less reliable and much harder to operate than fc3 aircraft. It is like sayin "hey this a-10c breaks the immersion cause everyone flying it. Remove it to have better balance between a10a and su25" Anyway I got his point it just sounds funny to say full modul breaks the immersion and fc3 not :) Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk
  9. So the full fidelity module breaks the immersion, while FC3 helps for the immersion :D thats funny :) Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk
  10. Well I dont want to migrate the whole disk, it is bigger than the ssd anyway. I need just dcs, xplane and some racing sims :) Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk
  11. Sure. I'm waiting for the new ssd to arrive, should be here till the end of the week. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk
  12. Thanks guys, will try it later :) Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk
  13. there you go https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bz5wL0zq5hWFbDhOektqclFwMEU I took it from 2.0 now I cant find it there for some reason...but at least I have it in 1.5.6 :)
  14. This is correct but the problem now is that part of the ground textures and trees appear hotter than a running tank or infantry. And a flir camera doesn't care if the tank is camouflaged, if it's hot you will see it ( not currently unfortunately). Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk
  15. Oculus are working on roomscale also and it is sort of working already. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk
  16. I just use one, two, three.... twelve voice commands in voice attack, works good enough. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk
  17. Search again in 2.0 it was there somewhere. I copied from there a month ago. Don't remember which folder exactly but it is there for sure. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk
  18. The same mission is in 2.0 open alpha, copy the .miz and paste it in 1.5.6. Works perfectly Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk
  19. I have seen some thermal cameras and also have mounted some. They are all not affected by the weather too much if at all. In heavy fog you can see very good and this is one of their main pros. Also with some very simple video analytics it can find lock and track an object within line of sight very easy and accurate. I strongly believe that irl both tgp and mavericks are far more capable than what we have, especially in later suits. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk
  20. Thats correct but not in every case, at least for me. In cases when need to fly the AC eg not releasing the stick is one example. Try to fly in close formation and set some radio frequency with mouse, especially in more tricky birds like huey. In such cases any good hardware placed for left hand use is great. I find inputting coordinates in a10 ka50 mirage or whatever else can, rather slow with the mouse (especially in the mirage) due to the small buttons and the need to keep you head steady for every button push. With the numpad is very fast and easy. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk
  21. Hm.. I will delete the old ones but I guess I still need to do the registry stuff.. Is there an easy way to do this? Thank you Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk
  22. Well I dont know why you make it so complicated. There is a scale in VR, start flyinside or Project cars and play with the scale setting a little bit and you will understand what are we talking about. You can make things huge or tiny and it is not just a perception thing... you can make things obviously huge or tiny. Just try it, lower the scale slider in flyinside to the lower setting and it will look like you are in a toy world or make the scale to the higher setting and you have the feeling that you can play football inside the cessna's cockpit. Both flyinside and x-plane has demos, so try and then come to comment. I will repeat that most probably we all see different results due to our different IPDs. Higher IPD means lower scale and vice versa. AFAIK the IPD in DCS is 64 which is sort of standart and most people are close to this number. However mine is 69, which makes the thinks look a little smaller. It would be good to hear from EDs opinion about this. I am sure they are reading.
  23. This one blow off both rift and vive by miles :D https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Future_Vision_Technologies
  24. In addition: If you have a racing wheel with buttons, use it as a button box. Fanatec universal hub works great - 12 buttons separate on three groups, rottary knob with push and pov functions (works great for abris knob, altimeter setting or whatever). If you can place your keybord close to your right hand - numpad is great for PVI800/ CDU coordinates input, NUM5 has a little bump so you can place your finger on it easily without looking. (The only issue is num5 recenters view). Strap a trackball on your knee by using some velcros - huge improvement over a regular mouse. I have a trackball on my right knee and a small notebook and a pen on my left knee - work as a charm. https://vrcover.com/ - Moves your eyes a little closer to the screen giving you a little better fov and less godrays. Also lacks foam on the nose and the gap is a little bigger which makes seeing the notebook on your knee easier for read/write.
  25. I am about to migrate my DCS installation to a SSD, If I just copy/paste the installation folder and change the shortcut targets, will it work or I have to uninstall and install again ? Both 1.5.6 and 2.0. Thank you! EDIT: I am using the original DCS, not the steam version.
