I heard many times this campaign is very good but never had the chance to try it. Now I will. Thanks for fixing it.

Big thanks. Can't wait to try it. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk

The problem is that now even if you have WP over the targets, you don't see the waypoint on the hud so you still don't know where exactly it is. For example in ka50 you can create a target point and when you uncage shkval while the target point is selected it goes directly over it. I assume the same functionality is valid for the su25t shkval. Not sure tho. But anyway the current implementation of su25t is limited and basically frustrating for realistic usage so labels kind of make sense if you want to use su25 anyway. In addtion to above, add the poor textures and rendering of dcs and you have tons of frustration spoting things. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk

Problem with the su25t for spoting is it lacks navigation system and datalink and full functionality of the shkval modelled. You are basically blind with it and have no options to mark your targets. Shkval is for targeting not for searching. In reality you would use systems like datalink or navigation to mark the targets approximate locations before taking off then eventually binoculars, russian versions of jtac and other methods which we don't have available in FC3 level models. How do you change Oculus center key? Num 5 always remains...
metzger replied to Elnocho3's topic in Virtual Reality
I reported the same issue somewhere in the forum, looks like there is no solution. And no comments from the staff either. It is very annoying as I use it for mirage, ka50 and a10. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk -
How much better is Rift than Vive for DCS World?
metzger replied to captainkoloth's topic in Virtual Reality
You wrote a lot of bs (not black shark) here which are too obvious for people who has tried VR. The first was the locked mouse. You can if you want unlock it and place whenever you want. Another one was about the A10. I have finished 4-5 A10 campaigns and never had an issue with aiming, can hit an apc with a single rocket. Reading the instruments is no problem at all even engine gauges which are the smallest and never used 3rd party textures or labels. Another BS was monitor trackir and realism - yea its very realistic how you turn your head to check 6 and 20 times zooming... Right. The same goes for fov and SA... Anyway if you want use a 14 crt and claim it is the best, who cares ? Just dont speak crap and don't fool people about thinks you obviously haven't tried. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk -
Guys disable the new shading and hdr and it runs fine. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk

Works in the rift for me. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk

Oculus has better than HD currently per eye. I am flying with the shark since oculus release, went to couple of campaigns no issues at all reading anything, not very crysp and clear offcourse but completely useful even the tiny abris menus. The HUD bearing is easy to read. Do you have CV1 ? Did you setup PD to 1.5 ? Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk

For me it works. The camera on some AC is screwed (moved to the right in my case) and this is how I fix it but it is saved only for the current session, after a restart I need to fix it again. Very very annoying issue. Try to check numpad lock and try again. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk

I use a lot of button boxes with the rift, even the keyboard some times. It is actually great. Just use the nose gap to peak and in no time you will reach them by muscle memory. I used to eat ginger for the motion sickness but after some time you build your VR legs and now I can use it all day with no sickness at all. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk

Medvedev mission 4 - Impossible due to weather?
metzger replied to ratkandy's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
I remember having the same issue, then replayed the mission and the weather was fine ?! Then I had another weather issue on another mission with extremely high wind. I think the weather in Medvedev campaign is sort of random. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk -
Looks bad. Lots of lag, very inaccurate, you can see how hard and slow is to use, much worse than a mouse. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk

I cant find target with labels on. How to find target?
metzger replied to kamui231a's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
TGP is terrible in caucasus map there are places on the map where you cant spot anything even if you are pointed exactly on top of it, very frustrating. The Ground is as hot as a moving vehicule or even hotter at some parts, I tried different texture mods and I find desert works best(but it is only in summer) and it is still bad. I would say just stay away from caucasus until its fixed. I am sticking to nevada map where TGP makes more sense. Unfortunately there is not much SP playground for nevada, only red flag campaign which I dont like much. -
And how do you update prior to IP ? Pointing the diamond on the runway and pressing "nav update" bind does nothing for me, nor the ins display change or the ground marker.

The helmet and visors still obstruct the peripheral vision to some degree and it is much harder to rotate your head and body,as you are strapped to the seat with belts and you have much more physical load. And again turning your head 10 degrees to look 180 degrees backwards is the same as going to f2 view and look around with the mouse. I would treat trackir like labels, outside views, model enlargement or other gamey features and VR only servers are good idea. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk

Here is my opinion from another thread on that topic: As far as people with monitors, it depends. You will definitely spot better with the rift than someone with small 20 inch screen where everything is tiny but harder than someone with 60inch 4k ultrwide and trackir. But anyway trackir is far from beeing realistic, superzoom and not 1:1 headtracking is not less arcady than edited labels or any other gamey feature. It is not harder than the real life. I bet it much harder to check 6 with 8g, helmet and oxygen mask etc.. As far as people with monitors, it depends. Announcement - new A-10C DLC training campaign
metzger replied to baltic_dragon's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
baltic_dragon stuff is great. I am realy looking forward for this and I am very happy that it will be on NTTR. Currently I am very annoyed from the poor tgp visibility on caucasus to start enemy within, but the mirage campaign from baltic_dragon is great :) -
It is noticeable only when you try to check 6 or to operate a backpanel switches. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk

It is nothing like 3d monitor/projector. It is more like you are sitting in a real scale hologram of the cockpit surounded by hologram of the rest of the world. You are completely closed in this world and dont see the surounding in your room which is realy astonishing in the begining. You cant realy "see" that there is a screen in front of you, nothing looks like 2d, everything is 3d. It is a common situation to forget and hit the wall next to my rig when I am parked on the ramp and I am looking arround. There are 3 main issues currently - Resolution, SDE, and peripheral vision or fov(you see the rift frame in the end of the screen, can be described like you are looking trough a scuba diving mask). For me the immersion outweights them many times but it is subjective I guess. And it will only get better... resistance is useless everybody will move to VR soon or later :)

After the initial approach fix and before the final approach fix. Speed depends on the loadout but usually geardown below 200knots and landing flaps below 180. Touchdown really vary too much with the loadout but it is around 130. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk

I wonder if its gonna work on 1.5? Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk
