Same here. Why isn't there a template released yet?
-
I am also waiting for this, I think it should've been in the game ages ago?
-
What's the purpose of the laryngophone in the helicopter then?

We desperately need more eastern bloc aircraft
Domcho replied to desdinova's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Wow, I didn't know we got a MiG-29K and then lost it. I started playing DCS almsot 2 years ago. Anyway before I began my adventure as a virtual pilot I watched DCS World overview by Wags where he stated we will get a Su-27SM, but recently after some info digging :book: I found this: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1839764&postcount=223 Everything is subject to change... unfortunately :( Even though we won't get the Su-27SM, at least not in the near future, I believe they will develop the Su-27S to full fidelity (not that it will change it's combat capability but it will at least make it fully realistic with the advanced systems). After all, why are almost all of the buttons and switches inside the Su-27S cockpit animated? :music_whistling: -
I, personally, would love to play as a navigator. Also being/having someone in the middle giving lessons to new people who bought the model would be a lot of fun as well.

According to Chizh MiG-29 PFM is definitely not coming this year, as for the Su-33 PFM it's unknown whether it will be this year or the next one. Personally I think it will be in early 2017 since Eagle Dynamics currently got their hands busy on too much stuff at the same time. We'll see. :) :joystick:

This is actually a big issue. While the Su-25A and Su-25T have the animations for cut of burst, bomb interval, ripple quantity etc, the Sukhois and MiGs don't have them, not to mention that with the latest update of the MiG-29 cockpit you can't tell on which waypoint you are or when you shift through airfield return/landing modes you can't tell which airfield you've picked since they removed the MFD option to display it for realism reasons. The waypoint is not displayed on the HUD either unlike in the Sukhois. This causes big problems in navigation (for MiG-29) and bombing (for both MiG-29 and Su-27, Su-33). Neither the MiGs nor Sukhois have flaps, gear, hook (Su-33) nor gear/navigation lights switch animatons (correct me if I'm wrong please). While those are not a big necessity, if we can't have ASM or clickable cockpits for simple stuff, at least we should have more animations. Also the Su-25T needs a switch animation for the Vikhres salvo mode or at least a HUD indication to tell us if we'll shoot 1 or 2 Vikhres. As for the US aircraft, I don't know about them, but if A-10A doesn't have simple animations for flaps and lights, why can't that be copy-pasted from the A-10C version. It's just flaps and lights animations. :(

Yeah. I agree we need rectangular trigger zones. It shouldn't be that hard to implement?

It will be difficult translating all the information from Chinese to English and Russian :book: :D -
In the manual it says the S-5 are retired from service in Russia and that's why they aren't present in DCS. But Russia is not the only country that has Mi-8, and some ex Warsaw Pact countries still use the S-5, so why not put it there along with fuel tanks?

Considering the fact that in 1 year (I hope) we will have a pack of 6 aircraft consisting of PFM or 4 (dunno if A-10A and Su-25A are AFM or PFM) without paying any money for this improvement, considering the fact that we are getting Caucasus map further improved, once again for free, and considering that DCS world itself is a free product, I don't think we have the right to complain. If ED would ever develop FC3 to ASM for free, fine. If ED would ever develop FC3 to ASM for extra price, they have every right to do so and we are in no position to complain nor judge them. And the ASM upgrade shouldn't necessarily be mandatory. It should rather be a personal preference for those that are willing to pay the price for upgrading their FC3. -

I concur we need more Eastern aircraft, or atleast develop the current 4th generation to not only PFM but also ASM. As a fan of Russian aircraft it feels depressing to hear that the next project is another Western or WW2 plane while the Flaming Cliffs 3 pack doesn't have full PFM yet, not to mention ASM which is, I think, not even planned at all. I see ED are putting a lot of effort in their current in developement modules as well as improving and combining the Caucausus map with the NTTR in 1 game (not to mention that they're doing this for free). That's great and until they finish their current work and free their hands we can't possibly hope to hear for another new major project. Once they finish their big project - the F/A-18C Hornet I am really hoping to see plans for the development of at least 1 Russian aircraft to ASM, whether it will be the Su-33 that's getting a PFM or the MiG-29 after it. As owner of FC3 I am even willing to pay for such an upgrade as I understand that ASM takes a lot of hard work due to its developement complexity and I believe such thing deserves to be paid for rather than given for free. After all, the reason you pay such a small amount of money for 6 aircraft is because they lack ASM. And we've heard that the 2 remaining aircraft Su-33 and MiG-29 are getting a PFM for free, I don't see why, unless legal issues don't allow it, ED starts developing ASM for each FC3 aircraft and 1 by 1 separates them from FC3 pack until all (excluding A10A for obvious reasons) are done and put back into the fully developed FC3 pack for the equivalent price of course. -
It's quite the opposite. The reason you experience this is because you're flying the Flaming Cliffs aircraft. Personally I only fly Russian aircraft only, unfortunately only the MiG-15 and MiG-21 are PFM + ASM. You can check each aircraft's quality here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2872146&postcount=34 If you hop into an aircraft with ASM you'll have a clickable cockpit and functional aircraft systems. The only module I own with such quality is... actually it's not an aircraft, it's the Mi-8 Helicopter which I can't fly because I don't have rudder pedals. I feel you, and I wish, probably more than everyone, that Russian FC3 and the free Su-25T aircraft have full PFM+ASM clickable cockpits one day. Unfortunately if that day even ever comes, it won't be anytime soon for any of those aircraft.

I am not sure if this is a new or old bug since I played the 2 Su-33 campaigns half a year before 1.5 came out. I guess it must be a new bug since ED messed with the carrier model.
-
Ahhh I forgot. You must restart the campaign which means you have to start from the first mission, unless you select the 10th stage to be the start of the campaign in the Campaign Builder
-
Here is what I want you to do: download the attached file, put it in C:\Users\your username\Saved Games\DCS\Missions. Now go to your DCS World folder where you installed the game and then navigate to Mods\aircraft\Flaming Cliffs\Missions\en\Campaigns. Make a backup of the h_s.cmp. After you've done that start DCS World, open Campaign Builder then click the Open button, click Flaming Cliffs, select the h_s.cmp file and open it. Click on Stage 10, then click on fc3_5_su33_010_en.miz, click remove. Now click add, click on My Missions, then find fc3_5_33_010_en_FIXED.miz and click OK. Click Save. Exit the Campaign Builder and go to Campaigns, open the campaign, you should be on the same mission if you haven't restarted the campaign or haven't gone behind by losing missions. Start the mission. You shouldn't have the problems you described. The problem is the following - your group consists of you and 2 other planes, total: 3. There was a 4th plane not inside your group with late activaiton but because it was set to take off from runway (from the aircraft carrier), for some reason even though it's late activation, his place is reserved, that's why you start on top of your wingman. What I did was I made him start directly in the air from the same location when he is activated by the trigger. The only thing that changes the mission experience is that he'll arrive a little bit faster to help you since he doesn't take off but starts directly in the air. The trigger that spawns the unit is only activated when wingman #3 in the group dies, if he dies at all, just in case you're wondering. If you have any problems write again. fc3_5_33_010_en_FIXED.miz

Can you tell which of the 2 Su-33 campaigns and which mission number exactly?
-
I hope so too

First where does it say when or will they update the S variant at all? Second like Kev2go already said, we're talking about a copy-paste of external look. Cosmetics, not complex physics. It's definitely worth it if the S model will not be released soon or at all. Honestly I don't know why you even bothered posting
-
Why not apply the new model to the S variant also?
-
The knobs should have been animated years ago. It's so annoying you can't tell in what mode you are. The MiG-29 received a new cockpit, why wasn't this problem fixed with it? And it's now only the MiG-29 that has this problem.
-
Nice catch! Fix please :D

Images of the new updated MiG-29 model have surfaced

Awesome! When will we see it in game?
