I agree that the sound is pretty good on the ground, but all I get is a weak whine on flyby. I will be trying to find the real sounds again and doing some work myself. This way I can get things the way I like them. Its more a personal thing than anything else.

Ok, thanks for that. I notice that she still explodes on carrier landings. Will this get resolved?

I have to say that most of the sound in dcs is pretty good and there seems to be a lot of points taken and worked on when possible. For me, there is only one module that has disappointed me and that's the AV8 Harrier. I have experienced many a flyby at low altitude over my home and not once did they have that awful whine sound. It was a fantastic roar. Yes, when spooling up and down. I have tried to contact Razbam about this and asked if they could tell me the sound files I need to edit but it has fallen on deaf ears. I have tried sound mods but with no real change as such. If anyone knows the files, please let me know and I will do my best to rectify them.

I decided to go back to the standard Comms Menu in Sim and use Voice Attack for a few number choices. Created mission for A4E to start on Ramp Hot. When I selected ATC, there was no options ie to Request Taxi etc. Any reason for this? Cheers Steve

I thought I would go back to the DCS Comms menu and play around with voice attack. Carrier landing Inbound and noticed some new sounds which were great. Then, couldn't remember what button I pressed but a new comms menu line came up. After that, I had a female ATC talking. Can anyone tell me about this or direct me to a thread. Cheers Steve

I realise there is a lot of work at the mo with the F14 but I was wondering if anyone had this problem with the A4E mod. Everytime I ask for the chocks, I get a F2 view. Should I just disable viacom when using this plane? Cheers

Just been trying the Tornado 2.5.5 selecting SU-25T Avioniks and notice that the Right Afterburner is showing on when off. Left Afterburner doesn't show on at all. And when selecting SU-25T Avioniks, is this based on SU-27? Not sure if this is correct. Anyone had the same problem? Any fix for this? Cheers -

I am thinking of getting a better set of headphones and came across these. Has anyone got a pair and how do they feel about them, Fit, Sound etc. What I want to do is connect the mic to my PC and the headphones to my Creative Labs speakers. If I extend the cable to my speakers, will I lose sound quality? Also, is it possible to fit trackir? If this is a problem, I might think of getting a good pair of headphones without mic and adapt my existing setup to them. Any input would be great. Cheers

Hey Duke, I read the manual. In ME I set plane to Instructor. I waited for brother to join and select Pilot slot. Then I selected Pilot 2. He had a message and accepted. Then we joined. Did I miss something? I will read again but think I got it right. If you can get synchronisation sorted sometime, this will be terrific. That said, its fantastic now Cheers

The only lights I can't get to work are the instruments. The multicrew was fantastic. Shame that the instructor couldn't take controls. Pressing J did nothing as instructor but as pilot, pressing J gave instructor the option to allow or deny controls to the pilot. No sound in instructors seat until pilot started plane moving. Will the controls become synchronised in multicrew at some stage?
