need track replay Problems with Rudder at Takeoff
tmansteve replied to tmansteve's topic in Bugs and Problems
OK Bignewy Will do that if possible. This track was way too big for me to upload so will do a short test everytime I find a problem. -
The problem is back, i.e. constant stuttering.

I am now using the DCS.exe from standard bin and it was much better than before. I had a lock after landing but that could be server. Its not perfect and needs ironing out. At least its workable -
need track replay Problems with Rudder at Takeoff
tmansteve replied to tmansteve's topic in Bugs and Problems
Rob Great idea. Will check that later. Must remember to do that. I bring up controls indicator when flying the huey. Will do all the checks you suggested. Many thanks again. Cal I cant remember if i put any wind in as it was a test without MT as I had terrible stuttering after latest update. -
Flying in different Maps and getting variations in Rudder at Takeoff. Sometimes it pulls heavy to the Right and other times it pulls hard to the Left. Other times it is not so aggressive. Before Takeoff, I reset the FCS and Rudder Trim but it keeps happening. I found it more prominent in Syria map. Any ideas would be great. I thought about my pedals as maybe an offset but with it pulling either left or right, I cant see that they are at fault.

Thanks Rob for your input It clicked a couple hours ago. I just wished it had been made clear in the update. Im just glad I can fly again. The thing that gets me is the fact you can have a powerful graphics card and still have problems. Will look at upgrading GPU when all of this has been ironed out. Cheers -

Many thanks guys. I think I've sorted it out. Was using the original Updater.exe and signing in. Changed to the DCS.exe and no more MT. I will check this out in multiplay when Bro comes online. Vakari, you gave me the hint -

So we don't use the updater shortcut anymore? Just use the .exe files? -

So is there no way to disable MT? -

Hey Hammer Are you saying a forced restart makes the stuttering go away? Went to the link and it didn't really answer the problem. All I need to know is how to run it without Multi Threading enabled. -

Just checked my DCS on load and in bottom right corner it says :- Multi Thread Preview 2.9.1.48335 How do I get it to load without Multi Threading? Cheers -

Thanks Akula Will take a look shortly. I will try some lower settings and see if it helps. If not, then will look at reverting to my last update before this. Was going to hookup and do a couple of missions. Forget It !! Ive found the last working update to my stable version :- 2.8.7.42718 How easy is it to rollback? -

Kon, how do we know when we are using Single Core or Multi Core? I just updated my stable version and its unflyable with stuttering all the time. Trackir is no use. All I have done is start DCS as usual and kept the same settings as before. If I use GUI updater, can I revert back to last update for stable version? It was running so smooth before. I have gone on about this for a long time regarding too much too soon. This is a fantastic sim and it needs sorting out before anything else. Such a shame. -
Do I have to set the Altitude to 0 on target waypoint for F18 Slam-ER? Also not sure about the Walleye 2. I understand about the GBUs etc. Cheers

need track replay DL13 SLAM and SLAM-ER Crosshair Movement
tmansteve replied to tmansteve's topic in Bugs and Problems
Just an update: thanks guys for all your input. After unchecking Realistic TDC Slew and rebooting, it worked a dream. I have been using the Cursor keys to slew the camera and the small joystick to TDC Depress. I will go back and get better with the little joystick later. Much Appreciated Everyone -

need track replay DL13 SLAM and SLAM-ER Crosshair Movement
tmansteve replied to tmansteve's topic in Bugs and Problems
Thanks guys for the reply. I will check again. I noticed on a vid that the tpod is only used to select the target. The real problem is when I move the crosshair, it judders as if it is stuck and then it moves in an irratic way. It would be nice if it was smoother. Cheers -

Not sure if this has been talked about, but when I am on target and DL13 screen is active, it's so hard to get the crosshair to move and stay in position. The DDI is SOI so I have control. TDC depress and try to move crosshair to pinpoint on target is a pain. I use the small joystick on my t16000 throttle. Has anyone got a better config or better way of doing this. Watch a load of Youtube videos but with no success. Might look at using tpod maybe. Any input would be great. -
Thanks for the heads up Quigon. Will do some tests with the same bombs.
-
A quick question regarding weapons program. If I have the same bombs on each pylon, do you still have to step to each pylon and program. Example Auto, Nose, Instant? I understand if you have different weapons onboard. Cheers

Not sure where this was supposed to go. I was watching a YouTube video regarding the above regarding frame rate differences. What I would like to know is, has this been got rid of as I tried Alt+Enter but I didn't see any difference. I didn't get a Taskbar at bottom. Now I've messed around so much, I'm not sure what mode I'm in LOL. If anyone can shed some light, I would be grateful. Wish I had never bothered. Cheers

This truly is a game changer. Fantastic work. Missions will now have impact. I appreciate all that modders do to improve this great sim. Many Thanks -
Thanks guys for the info. I forgot about the template creator using mods as well within the template. Another thing to think about. I will have to check the templates before downloading so I know if there are any mods included. Cheers
