  1. Are we limited to the number of waypoints we can insert for trains? I noticed that as I zoomed in on Mission Editor, the train veered of its tracks if not enough waypoints were inserted to keep it on point. I managed 175 waypoints and DCS stopped working and had to close it. Any info would be great. Cheers
  2. Update: My fault, I put other vehicles on Red Alert and made the mistake of not changing it for the Paladin. Set it to Auto and off they went happy as Larry. Doh !!!!
  3. I dont think a track would be beneficial as it does it on a clean map of caucasus. Im going to test my other maps and see what happens. Then if I have a problem on any, I will post a track/mission file. Been making missions for years and never had a problem till now. Will update later. I know they work in persian gulf Cheers
  4. I was creating a mission using the Caucasus map and placed some Paladins and Half-Tracks to follow waypoints and "fire at group" command. The Half-Tracks departed but the Paladins stayed where they were with engines running. I tried this on the PG map and found they both moved OK. Is there a problem with the Caucasus map? I tried a single Paladin in a new Caucasus map with a waypoint and it went off. After inserting more waypoints and a few more Paladins, they wouldn't move and even if I deleted them and tried again with just 1, it still didn't move. I placed the Half-Tracks in and changed the 1st to a Bradley and they worked OK. Never had this problem before. This has happened with a couple other vehicles. cheers

  6. Many thanks Eight Ball. Will be adding this to a new mission tonight. These are the things that need to be added by ED. Without this, there is no immersion. Without you guys doing this, missions would get boring. Fantastic stuff
  7. Would be great to see more fast attack boats that can be placed on rivers. At the moment, all I have found is the small punt type attack boat that works. Only thing is , it's so small and you need a lot to make it interesting. Also, it would be great to be able to add more than 1 to a group. With all the new maps, river boats and gun boats would be extra immersive.
  8. What a fantastic looking mod. Quick question, can this be used without combined arms? And if so, can they still fire torpedoes?

  10. I thought I read through one of the changelogs that the submarines now attack shipping. Is this for Open Beta? Either that or I am mistaken. Any heads up would be great. Using latest Stable 2.8 update and as soon as submarines get in range, they turn away.
  11. I would be very happy to see ground crew with ground power etc to give the much needed atmosphere. They are just so empty. The SC is amazing and its a pity that the airfields have been missed out. I understand that the workload for ED is really big, but it would be nice to ease back and start to fill in the gaps. Then progress onwards. I am happy to place moving vehicles etc into the ME but it would be brilliant to spawn in an airfield with atmosphere just like the SC.

  14. Flappie Many thanks. I remember I changed a name in my logbook.lua. I will first redo and correct my logbook entries and then check to see if it loads. If no luck, I will put my logbook.lua up for you to check. I will let you know if I have any success. Cheers Flappie
  15. Hi All Pulling my hair out here. DCS has worked flawlessly since 2015. Today, it will not load past 10%. Log shows different errors. I disabled the mods, then removed the offending Lua files, Cleaned up DCS, then a Repair. It still will not load. Should I uninstall the lot and start from scratch or maybe there might be something else I can try. Any help will be gratefully received. dcs.log
  16. Can someone tell me how to get the AI Hercules to drop cargos? I have added a trigger zone for the drop. I start Mist and CTLD Hercules Cargo.lua, but not sure which command to give them if any when they enter trigger zone. Any pointers would be great. Update..Got the AI to drop troops but they did not spawn on ground??

  19. An update. Got it working at last. You were right about making them all one group razor+r, many thanks. Elphaba, thank you for the video link but I have seen that one. Those barrages I have created but the older flak guns needed a kdo.
  20. The flak guns are but I think the kdo was placed after. I will look into that this afternoon and get back with results. It has to be something silly as my missions are quite advanced with a lot going on with scripts etc. Thanks for that razor+r
  21. I have done everything you have said and much more but I will try again, but dont hold up much hope. Watching the big bombers fly over and not a peep from the guns is bizarre. Just a thought, what should be the minimum height for the planes? Maybe they need to be higher than 7000ft. I will raise the height and see what happens.
  22. Not sure if I am doing something wrong but I recently bought the Assets Pack and place various types of Flak guns in different positions covering bombers waypoints. I tried them without the KDO first and as soon as the planes were detected, they sprang into action but did not fire. Tried Fire At Point and they fired. Then tried them with KDOs and all they did was rise up and follow them not firing once. I then tried Weapon Free, Min Altitude etc and still with no firing. Any help would be great. I have watched loads of videos and I seem to be OK. Should there be a minimum starting altitude for the planes so that the Flak will react?

  24. Its nice to know they are working on it and I realise the scale of it all. This is a fantastic sim. I sometimes feel it would be nice to stop and try to iron out as much as possible before moving onwards and upwards. The list must be huge.

This may have been spoken about before, but whenever I land at an airfield and taxi to parking, I refuel and rearm etc then find there is no ATC comms for Taxi to runway etc. I have tried many ways but without an answer. Also, that ATC guy really gets around, at every airfield. He must be fast LOL. Would be nice to have a female voice as well to break the monotony a bit. This would add to immersion. You would have to do it in real life or there would be gridlock. Cheers
