All modules in 1.5 ~27GB

Will RAZBAM change it to "DCS standard" or is that RAZBAMs decision?
-
probably :megalol: 10nm is a bad example or you slow down to a safe non-stall-speed or you use the active-pause option :smartass: Anyway, whats the english name for it? Cross Bearing?

I'm not so familiar with the navigation systems in the A10, but i think you only have ILS and TACAN? Or can you recieve signals from VORs, NDBs? Anyway, normally you can do the following things: or you use - didn't found an english article about that, the german call it "Kreuzpeilung" or "Rückwärtseinschneiden" - with 2 or 3 VORs/NDBs For that you need at least a map, ruler, compass and a pencil. First you have to determine your own position. For this you use in the image below two NDBs. Your own position is located in the intersection of the two lines (354° and 55°). Now you transfer your flight direction and distance in the map (Note here the map scale). Then you determine the number of degrees (for example: 300° and 60°), which you will measure at the point you reach your distance. If you are using 3 NDBs, then is your own position of the center of the resulting surface.

Nope: "Réservoirs extérieurs: possibilité d'emport de 2 bidons largables de 1700 l et d'un bidon largable 1300 l"(page 11, Dassault Aviation Manuel Pilote Mirage 2000-C). External tanks: possibility of carriage of droppable 2 cans 1700 l and a releasable 1300 l canister.

Ah ok, my fail :wallbash:

New version online (REV 4). Changes: - added index with page numbers - added or changed some minor entrys - added radio frequencies for nevada (still WIP, atm. I don't own the map)
-
I know its WIP, but regarding Landing Lights: At the moment you have: OFF-TAXI-LANDING Should be TAXI-OFF-LANDING ;-) Anyway, at the moment I find that the mirage has not so many switches. So if you playing around with the cockpit (about 2-3 hours), you know the things behind the switches. A MiG21 only in russian would be horrible  Nevertheless it looks great.

Thanks Justificus =) At the moment i don't own the Nevada Map. But I'll try to include the stuff as soon as possible. The checklist based on Dassault Aviation M2000C Pilote Manuel, so the procedures aren't the same as by RAZBAMS Flight Manual. Even with the hydraulic emergency pump off you can start the engine and the parking brake will work (try it :v:). I think (if I interpret the picture below correctly) the parking brake lever is connected to a pressure intensifier. The hydraulic pumps are not needed to engage the parking brake. The pressure intensifier is connected with the HYD2-reservoir. Pressure for the parking brake is about 80 bar.

New version online (REV 3). Changes: - changed some minor entrys like EP test or COUPE-FEU (previously known as Fire Extinguisher) - added ILS-Freq for Vaziani (RWY 32 - 108.75 Mhz)

Damn it, i missed that thread. Ähm... closed :helpsmilie: :music_whistling:

Hi there, After reading and reading the extract from the Dassault Aviation Manual and an article from BEAD-air (investigation of an aircraft accident) - you can find it under the name "BEAD-air-A-2008-009-A.pdf" -, i've got a question. In the actual Flight Manual from RAZBAM they wrote on page 24: "5. Frie Extinguisher - Activates the engine fire extinguisher." Is this term correct? Does that mean an extinguishing medium is by activation injected into the engine? Or is the term "shut-off valve" correct? In the article "BEAD-air-A-2008-009-A.pdf" you can see and read that it is a valve, which only interrupts the fuel supply to the engine. The last would make some sense, so in Dassaults Manual you can read: - in the preflight checklist that the coupe-feu switch must be activated (open cover, switch to the left) - in the engine start checklist that you have to deactivate the switch (switch to the right, cover closed) before engine start and activating the 3 boost pumps - in the parking checklist that you have to switch it back on (open cover, switch to the left) after shut down your engine At least some pictures from the report:

Aircraft are usually vectored to intercept the localizer approximately 1-2nm before final approach fix, where the glideslope is captured (if you capture the localizer you have to report to ATC "ILS established"). It is the normal procedure to capture the localizer at a hight lower than the glideslope, so you capture the glideslope after the localizer. If an aircraft is not established on the localizer, there is no point in continuing the approach, so it will be canelled by ATC and the aircraft revectored. After all, i learned it is allowed to capture the glideslope first when you are in VMC. Report: Flybe DH8D at Manchester on Nov 16th 2011, descended on glideslope without being established on localizer http://avherald.com/h?article=44de3425

Thank you for the information. You never stop learning :book:

Don't think so. It is in RAZBAM-Manual (suspect to change) a little bit confusing. They didn't wrote that you must select G or D depending on the position of the GPU, although they write you have "[...] connectors for external power supply"(page 32 on RAZBAMs Flight Manual). In the french version (sure only an extract of a part from the original one) they wrote "L'avion est équipé d'une [not de deux] prise de parc pour l'alimentation extérieure en courant alternatif."(page 16, Mirage 2000-C Manual Pilote). It would be negativ for the maintenance-costs, wight and place if you have more than one connector. RAZBAM also wrote "[...] although a Power Cart is preffered to prevent draining the battery of all power"(page 24 on RAZBAMs Flight Manual). So you start your engine always with the battery, the GPU only supports it (presumably by parallel connection). Btw.: here you can see the one described power connector: Edit: "- On procède comme pour une mise en route, mais on laisse le sélecteur bougies sur ventilation et on ne passe pas la manette sur ralenti. - N se stabilise à~19%, le démarreur se coupe automatiquement après 35 secondes."(page 9, Mirage 2000-C Manual Pilote) The procedure is as for a startup, but you select the VENT-Position to dry the spark plugs. N stabilizes at around 19%, the starter switch automatically shut down after 35 seconds

Thats it. I heard somewhere to switch the RWY HDG you need approximately 15 minutes. That's what I've not considered by Vaziani. I've tested it, it works. :pilotfly:
-
Check  Dosn't try it yet, only use the special mode deselect on my warthog :joystick:
-
Another interesting DCS related thing: If you look at the Black Sea Map, you've Vaziani with ILS-Freq.: 108.75 Mhz - in both directions, that would never work So if you try it, you've got the signal for RWY14. Edit: In VMC you don't necessarily need ILS but in IMC it would be fatal if you catch the GS first or withour LOC.
-
Where? In real life or in DCS? It is how it works, due to safeness. If you capture the GS without the LOC you "can" land in the middle of nowhere or at the false runway. So in real life it is allowed to capture the GS befor the LOC in VMC.
-
With 'D' (Special Mode Deselect) or switching to Super 530D.
-
Thats how it works  Good to know: In RL you should capture the LOC before the GS in IMC, due to safeness. In VMC its allowed to capture the GS first.
