No worries, mate. Gald I could help!

Here you go. I took a look at your mission and fixed the tanker for you. I also added a second tanker to show different orbit speeds and altitudes are achievable. The issue was that your speed wasn't set correctly in the 'Orbit' field in advanced waypoint actions, and you had 'Orbit' set at every waypoint, which is incorrect. When using an orbit, you only need to set the aircraft to start the action at the waypoint you want the tanker to begin its orbit. There is also no need to use the switch waypoint action, as when the orbits are set up correctly, this is taken care of. When using a circular orbit, it will maintain a left hand turning circle around the initial orbit waypoint that you have set, in this case WP1. However, when using a racetrack, as you have done, you need to have a second waypoint (WP2) after the initial waypoint (WP1) where the orbit has been set. This will give the tanker the inbound leg of the holding pattern, which it will follow with subsequent left hand turns, using WP2 as the orbit fix. This way you can adjust the length and direction of the racetrack, which is very handy when building missions with plenty of enemy SAMs. Hopefully that makes a bit of sense and doesn't sound too confusing. The best way to understand it would be to look at how the waypoints are set up in the mission editor, taking careful note of the waypoint actions. Then open up the mission in game, and see the route that the tankers are taking and how it compares with what it was set up to do. Hope this helps! DCS Aerobatic & FreeFlight [v1.06].miz

I fully agree ReconXPanzer here. I would be really grateful if ED implemented a new weather system in DCS This includes advanced cloud types (cumulus, stratus, cumulonimbus, cirrus, etc.). There also needs to be the ability to have multiple cloud layers as well as simulation of gusting winds, microbursts, wake turbulence and jetwash; and an advanced precipitation system including rain, hail and snow of varying severity and localised to the cloud(s) from where they originate. Simulation of thermals, updraft, downdraft and turbulence effects due to terrain would also add to the immersion. Also, the implementation of a weather station system for each airfield (similar to FSX/P3D) would be an excellent addition to the mission editor. This would allow you to fly from one end of the map to the other experiencing different types of weather conditions. Personally, I think ED should look to add-ons for FSX such as Active Sky Next for inspiration if they do decide to create a new weather engine.

[Do not take part in beta] Pls write working game
Ranbi2Delta replied to Snowfox_Hun's topic in General Bugs
Sorry to hear about your frustration, Snowfox, but as it's been mentioned before, this is in beta. The whole point of an open beta is so that members of the community are able to assist ED in finding and squashing bugs that may have slipped through. Could you perhaps be more specific about the bugs that you are facing? That way ED can add them to the bug tracker if they are not already there and you can help them find and fix problems. Finally, please be patient. I know it can be quite frustrating at times but there will be updates soon with fewer bugs and we will have a more stable platform in the end. In the mean time, may I suggest that you run 1.2.16? This will stop you from having issues with the game every time there is an update. -
Hi there, I just experienced a crash on multiplayer where one of the other clients joined in on the C-101 and I crashed while flying the A-10. It was a slightly strange crash as I did not get any error message, but the sim just quit to desktop. As a result there was no crash or dump files generated, only the log file (attached). Thanks! Edit: Also added a track file Logs.rar client-20151110-212638.trk

Hi there, It seems to me that with the latest update 1.5.1, the boom operator does not track the F-15's fuel port correctly. Now I normally am able to get a contact first time with the refueling probe 99% of the time, but after the patch to 1.5.1 I seem to have found myself struggling to make contact. I have attached a few screenshots showing the boom position in relation to the F-15 and the corresponding guide light indications underneath the tanker. Now even though I was holding this position for about five to seven seconds to give the boom time to align, the operator simply would not make contact. Further, I am sometimes able to make contact, but these seem to be in very specific positions that are slightly out of line with the guide lights. This problem seems to be specific to the F-15, as I tried this with the A-10 and there were no issues. Could this possibly be looked at? I have also attached the mission file I used for testing this. Edit: Excuse the typo in the thread title Refuelling Practice.miz

F15 Altitude meter and light reflection
Ranbi2Delta replied to Tricky11's topic in F-15C for DCS World
I'd imagine it's so that the Belsimtek team is aware of this. Hopefully they'll provide us with a fix soon. -
1.5.1.46722.87 Model Visibility removal
Ranbi2Delta replied to HornedGod's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I personally find that the new system works pretty well. I'm actually finding it easier to spot and keep track of targets. -
Hi there, Could you post your log files and a track? This way the crashes can be diagnosed.

Hi there, Our virtual squadron just experienced a simultaneous crash on multiplayer this evening, I've attached a zipped folder containing the logs and my system information. The track file was too big to upload, so I've placed it in my Dropbox here. Thanks! Logs.rar

F10 MAP view ultra-slow in multiplayer
Ranbi2Delta replied to Vyrtuoz's topic in Game Performance Bugs
I tend to get pretty huge stutters as well when switching to F10 on multiplayer, so you're not alone on this. -
Try selecting one of the wallpapers on the modules at the bottom. This may be because the cloud render is killing your frames.
-
I do get quite a few multiplayer stutters when looking towards the mountain range on servers like the 104th especially. Not so much FPS drops, though.

Aircraft lights are visible from tens of miles away. That's their purpose. At night time you will see the lights of an aircraft (especially an airliner) long before you are able to make out its silhouette. This is especially true with the white strobe lights and landing lights. I agree with Red Dragon here, the lights in DCS serve no purpose other than eye candy at this point. Nav light visibility distances similar to FSX/P3D is really what we need.

Hi there, I was flying an F-15 on 104th this evening and experienced a crash right when an aircraft in front of me (Su-25) was shot down and crashed. I wasn't able to put a name to the type of crash, but I have attached the crash logs. I also couldn't upload the track (probably because it's too big), but I have put it in my Dropbox here Thanks! [REPORTED]Stutter/Frame Drops when moving Camera
Ranbi2Delta replied to Verdi's topic in Game Performance Bugs
Could we perhaps have some official word on this? -
Agreed. This would be a great addition.

Hi there, I just experienced a crash on multiplayer this morning while flying the P-51, and when I took a look at the crash logs I was surprised to see that it was a DX11 crash. I'm running the latest drivers on my NVidia card. Logs are attached. Logs.rar
-
Lol! I know I'm bad at taxiing the P-51, but didn't realise I was that bad. Yeah, I knew about the tailwheel lock thing. I'm just a potato when it comes to tail draggers. Thanks for the help!

[CLOSED]Flashing buildings/trees (z fighting?)
Ranbi2Delta replied to firefly2442's topic in 2D Video Bugs
Same here, also using NVidia card. As far as I know, this has nothing to do with HDR, as I have it set to off. -
I've got NATO options selected, yet this still occurs.

Hi, When using the JTAC IR view in Combined Arms, I get a serious FPS drop, and it looks as if the game is trying to render with the depth of field option, even though I have it set to off. Could this be looked at? As a side note, I don't experience much FPS loss when using FLIR in the A-10C. Steps to reproduce: 1. Jump in any Combined Arms vehicle 2. Press "B" for JTAC view 3. Enter IR view 4. Watch the frame rates drop PC Specs: Windows 8 64-bit i7 3.2 GHz 8 GB RAM 1 GB NVidia GT740M card with latest drivers

Yeah, this has been there for a while, I think, even before 1.5. The ME really needs to have the wind displayed as it is in real life. The ATC reports are correct, in that the tell you the bearing that the wing is coming from. The mission editor needs to be changed to reflect this as well. So if you set the wind direction to 120, the wind will be blowing from 120, not towards 120.
