  1. When I used SimpleRadio a lot I configured the G13 stick to select radios because my TMWH Mic Switch doesn't work very well anymore.
  2. http://imgur.com/a/zP5Cg
  3. #MakeMissilesGreatAgain Because Kek wills it.
  4. The AIM-9X in game is horrible, though. It uses an R-60M seeker... So yeah a proper AIM-9X is definitely a wishlist item.
  5. Sat in the right seat of a CH-53E about five years ago... Been real close to that, Huey, Osprey, and had a real nice flyover by a Strike Eagle once...And a B-1 went over the Mach, too, IIRC. :D Watched C-17s do pattern work a few times...Almost had one land on me...Sucker came in and did a touch right across the street from me!
  6. It's absolutely still an F-15C. Far as I know, all that needs to be done is upload the new information (DLZ and special symbology) to the CC and that's that. No variant letter changes, no block number changes (Eagle block numbers aren't like F-16 block numbers...), it really is just 'some software'. And no, it doesn't mean it's the Israeli version. We have a Fake Eagle, honestly. It's an APG-63 from 1978 with TWS, NCTR, and Slammer guidance...So why not throw some Pythons in there? Heck, put 'em on Flankers, too (PL-8).
  7. Well what did you expect by pulling 18g? Obviously things are going to touch a nerve! :D
  8. That's right in the middle of the Range... Edit:
  9. And the worst troll of the month award goes to... +1
  10. Israel's F-15Cs are known as F-15C, Israel's F-15Es are known as F-15I. And there's no reasons why you can't have Pythons on non-Israeli F-15Cs, IMHO. Just some software changes (which can probably be done through the DTC, I guess?) and maybe some adapters or something. Most Western weapons are compatible with Western platforms. And non Western platforms...PL-8s on Flankers.................:smilewink: Edit: TBH, I think Python 3s aren't too much to ask for. 5, and possibly 4, are probably too much.
  11. The other RoT for unloaded separations is 0.6-.7g. Being above 350 and ~450 KCAS definitely helps. More of that "bat out of hell" and less "Loaded Hornet Acceleration Simulator" And for the thread in general: How about an offset 2c gameplan with some high (you) to low (threat) thrown in? Separation opportunities everywhere *and* you get a neutral-ish head-on pass if you keep turning*! *Okay you might get an Archer to the face, but same difference, right?
  12. #FlightManualLimitationsMatter I had the funniest time with this tail breaking stuff...Was a two ship of Flankers, wingman...In trail of my lead - He's like "oh sh** I departed (...)" I look at him and see him in a spin WAAAAAY below recovery altitude, so he ejects. 20 seconds later I'm like "What happened?" - "I broke my fins" --- "Okay, let me try that" - Aaaand then I broke my fins and spun into the ground. :joystick: :megalol:
  13. Like 104th has SARH only events and missions, there could be a "Visual Threat Reactions ONLY" Mission. :megalol:
  14. This! Especially that last line.
  15. The way some of us have interpreted the "chaff bug" is that it simulates what we don't have in the sim (chaff vs radar, jamming vs radar/seeker, etc.), so I wonder this: If ED fixes the chaff bug, what of the actual CM rejection value? Can *that* be 'turned down' to simulate the non-existent countermeasure effects?* You'd have less "chaff outside seeker FOV" and more realistic Pks for given scenarios, right? Seems like the best idea until we get better EW/CM modeling. *And that's not just for the ER, of course!
  16. Ahhh it was just the wording of what I quoted!! I understand now. :)
  17. Is there anything that makes your experiences more valid than his? Or is this just missile discussion threads fallacy #9876?
  18. Would be nice if we could do that too...
  19. :megalol: Forgot about that video.
  20. An inch makes a lot of difference at >M2.5... Doesn't it? Ktulu!? Where's Ktulu? You know, Mister "I Wanna Play With Rockets IRL", he can answer that. :D
  21. So back in the day in Lock On you could hit a key and do a cobra - The key command can be added to the default command lua file in-game. The second video shows just that, I think.
  22. Lol wow...Thanks for the info.
  23. Nose shape and body diameter...
  24. Wait until 130-150kts to set T/O trim (<--any aft stick sets it). Seems like the trim is meant for AB takeoffs, as well. Edit: By the way...I haven't flown the latest 2.0...Is that the problem here? I probably should've read the thread! :p
