  1. That auto fart control, though...
  2. RAZBAM is doing the E (Strike Eagle). BST wants to do the C. Edit: aaaaaaaaaaand sniped by Buzzles!
  3. Yup exactly, get in the cockpit, hit escape, change controls and all is well!
  4. You know, there are other ways to solve such an 'FC3 user attention span problem'*. Flight time or refuel time, take your pick. I say flight time because that gives people time to get configured AND solves the spam problem. *IMO that's a problem with all modules and doesn't stem from systems fidelity at all.
  5. Same here. Normally I can add perhaps two or three commands with other modules and click ok without getting the blackscreen bug. With this it's just instant after modifying controls. Can confirm that getting in the pit and modifying from there works just fine, though.
  6. I'll just leave this here...Man, Command Prompt has to be the best DCS module ever! :smartass:
  7. You can use the radar while in Nav mode (i.e. without hitting 2 for BVR mode), but if you switch to BVR mode any contacts you have tracked or locked will be dropped.
  8. I just say it out loud to myself. "Flare....flare....flare....fl-fla-fl-flare flare..."
  9. Yeah BST said they wanted to do an ASM Eagle. Do note, though, it is a LOT more than just switches...I mean, you have to build an entire weapon system. It's not a separate radar, RWR, INS, fire control, etc. It's all integrated. I think that if BST wants to do it, it will happen in time.
  10. Thought that was just an F-16 thing, no?
  11. Bracket from 10+ miles with targeted fighter dragging bandit around slightly offensive after the merge til the wingman can put a heater in his cranium. Alternatively, do the unexpected. Have you ever flown into a merge at 280 knots? I hear Flanker guys love level one circle gameplans.
  12. Why six? All you need is one doing air to air... :)
  13. +1 on all of that. As for reading, the T-38 Introduction to Fighter Fundamentals and the F-16 Combat Aircraft Fundamentals are helpful too. I think both of those are distributed with BMS, too...IIRC. They're available on the 'net as well I believe.
  14. They're great for gunnery practice! :megalol:
  15. Sweeper's wall of BFM Text Wall of text in the spoiler. TLDR: Set up a 1v1 guns with the F-5 first, don't get slow, it isn't an F-16, stay above 400, try to either fight a good rate fight or force a scissors. You'll win both. And might I add, drop this "lighter = better BFM'r" stuff, your forum name isn't Pierre Sprey. :D
  16. Two "F-15C Flanker E" vs two "Mirage 2000C" - With Adders, MICAs, and cranked SRS knobs for all!
  17. Because the display range is set to 100km it is hard to see the DLZ - But it does exist at the bottom left of the HUD...Not so many pixels, though! :D Might have to play the video in 1/4 acceleration to see it clearly...?
  18. If your A-10 drivers know what they're doing that already works...
  19. If you don't have NTTR you're qualified. :) If you do, I'll have to edit that post again! :D

    DCSW And AIM-9X

Oh man, AIM-9Xs were fun in maneuvering fights in the Eagle...Had an MP mission with those and AIM-54s about two years ago. Dang it feels like that was ages ago. DCS 1.2, old graphics, old F-15 FM, etc. Shame the -9X seeker isn't quite right (it's like an R-60M), but that thing could bat turn if you got in close. Only slightly offensive in a rate fight? No problem! Fox 2 kill!
  22. Actually, Su-27 avionics in-game do support the R-77 - Just without the TWS2 mode (which I don't find all that useful anyways....).
  23. That sounds great! Thx.
  24. Your drift downwards at 110KCAS? Yes. :P
