  1. Reply in the spoiler...Didn't want to OT-wall the thread. :) I hope that LN will model older Sparrows, just to show what a "normal" BVR missile is capable of. If my imagination and my hopes align, you might see a lot of Tomcats with six Sparrows. :joystick: And as for the thread's favorite missile...It's a threat, respect it. You may have to respect it a bit more than an AMRAAM or any other current missile, but keep in mind the capabilities of the launching platform, as well. Honestly, if I can maneuver in a somewhat unrestricted manner, I don't think the AIM-54 is an overpowering threat. Bigger threat than a Slammer on average, but not quite an instant killing death ray game breaking weapon. The real threat to MP PVP stuff is the client slot list and the way it supports the lonewolf with no mission mentality.
  2. Don't see why it shouldn't. Marking stuff is a pretty standard and necessary capability.
  3. The real jet doesn't have the TSD-style display. It is simply a HUD repeater IRL.

    F-15E?

RAZBAM's working on it, but the Harrier is their next jet. Last I heard they're working on the internal 3d modeling (cockpits!). As for other devs and Eagles...Belsimtek has been wanting to do an F-15C module at the ASM level for a long time. Who knows when that'll come along.
  5. Meteor vs J-7? :megalol:
  6. Who needs a long range air to air missile when you have SM-6s and off-board targeting?
  7. Kinda curious here...Who mentioned IFR flying? I'd think that'd be one of the more useful things for a current trainer to do...
  8. I really feel like the problem here is that we have a bunch of low performance trainers. Training aircraft are fine, but when you're trying to do IFF stuff in an L-39C...Oh look I'm down to 195kts at 13,000ft in a rate fight! I'd say one of these would work: Higher performance trainer (e.g. T-38A/B/C), training variant of a fighter (e.g. Su-27UB), or add an extra slot with the same viewpoint on an existing or developing fighter. Last one is a bit easier from certain PoVs, but I suppose recoding an existing A/C would be a pain in the rear. You know how L-39 has the ability to disable the backseat through the ME? Well, a fake second slot could have that too... /ideas
  9. Cash? Like this?
  10. Polish MiG-29s fly Archers-only now for QRAs...And they are a heck of a lot more threatened in the air than Denmark. Using 7 older aircraft for relatively-peacetime QRA isn't bonkers, it's sensible. Just wait until your F-35s fly 'em guns only. :megalol:
  11. I recommend "pdgls" on Youtube - That guy has a lot of videos from inside NTTR and other ranges - With scanner audio! https://www.youtube.com/user/pdgls/videos Just keep scrolling down to his 3 year+ old videos. Awesome.
  12. Lol...Inb4 "F-16 vs F-35" HUD tape shows up on youtube. :megalol:
  13. Good luck with those Arrows/CF-22222s/CF-393993939s. :megalol: Anyway...http://www.reviewjournal.com/news/military/controversial-f-35a-warplane-struts-its-stuff-red-flag-exercise
  14. Hmmm...Serbian Gazelles needed... Or that Mi-24P...
  15. Interesting! Thanks for the info.
  16. Click your Nav Mode button again (1 is default) and reset the system. The nav bug was introduced in 1.5.0 back in Oct 2015, IIRC. As for the autopilot...I'd look at the pilot first. :smilewink:
  17. Do you know if any of the export nations that are modeled (as in in the default skins and such) used those tanks?
  18. Until people talk on more than one radio...Gotta love it when you're on two radios (intraflight/GCI for example), merged/engaged 2v2, and the other freq blows up with bull excrement. What was that about Teamspeak, again? :D
  19. Well...Think PRF. If he's in high PRF over 25nmi and I notch or turn out - What's gonna happen? :smilewink: Combine that with stacking, maneuvering (cranking, etc.), you have a pretty hard picture to sort out in the Eagle. Also, you have A/A TACAN in the Mirage and the Eagles don't. Helps with spacing...
  20. You know what? I'm dead wrong. Mirage is 2.5m2. Just checked in Core Mods/M2000. Good catch. :)
  21. IMHO, Mirage guys need to focus on using BVR for other means. Take the bandits where YOU want them. For an Eagle, the bandits are where they need to be right from initial contact. For a Mirage, you've gotta simulate an F-16A to do anything. So ditch your 530s, take more Magics, and go notch, offset, and meme your way into ACM. Edit: Keule, didn't see that before I posted. On RCS, I'm pretty sure every fighter in game is 5m2 all aspects/elevations and loadouts. As for ground clutter, anything other than the original APG-63 should reject that pretty well. And as for BVR sorting with TWS...There are, in fact, ways around TWS sorts. ;)
  22. No, that would mean I have to use those wimpy -220s. I want more. F-15C with F100-229s. (hey, i wonder...what about the F110-132s...? Can somebody put THOSE in a C? 70,000ish lbs of thrust in a 40-50k airframe. That'd be interesting...)
  23. Or go back to the spectator slot instead of leaving a wreck on the ramp... :book:
  24. Meh, let me take CFTs off the Strike Eagle (oh, yeah, about those F100-229s...) and I'll pretend it's a C.
  25. It's Rust, not Dust. :megalol:  Probably a good idea...These threads really don't end well. The last thing this community needs is division on the grounds of who clicks more switches. *Goes back to throwing 30 switches to drop awesomeness in the Viggen*
