IIRC the CA smokes are Red, Blue (or Green??) or orange...This was yellow-ish orange, didn't look like CA smoke to me. That said, I haven't played with CA smoke in a while nor CTLD's smoke. Yes, my track is a few hours long, though... :(

Somebody spammed yellow smoke over Sochi at 16:30z... Pretty sure its those S-8 markers that the Eastern birds use, if that helps any...

I don't remember what time-periods LN is modelling, but if its ANYTHING like MiG-21, we might see some more competitive AIM-7s. I really hope they go full R-3R on it, man....... :P

They did multiple times. And lost... It won IRL through tactics and training...It was a bit of a superior aircraft to most of what it fought, though. :) AIM-7M vs R-27ER/ET in-game: Get some wingmen and drag the bandits around...Get as close as you can without being engaged. Also, if you can catch a Flanker with a full load and some speed, make him maneuver...Maybe he'll break his wings off. I've had that happen in quite a few merges now where the bandit decides to 10g "break turn" into me or a missile...And breaks his jet instead! :D

No. AGM-154B got cancelled back in the late 90s/early 2ks - That was the -97 equivalent JSOW, with 6 BLU-108 - The 97/105 have 8, IIRC that was part of the reason JSOW-B got canned.

Also, it takes a long time to get out of stage 5 burner, your RPM will retard to 96 or even below that, but you'll still have stage 1/2 burners on for a few seconds...Defending an ET is better done through energy and maneuvering...Actually, defending Archers goes the same way if you don't want to/cannot flare, but the miss distance is basically 10ft, so any lag/desync/warping will kill you, probably... Oh, quick edit, I didn't read the whole thread, just skimmed through the last two pages... :(

Didn't you guys hear? "TWS" actually means Track While Stutter. I've only had this issue once after flying A/A on 104th for ~4 hours...If I see it again, I'll definitely grab a track/log file/whatever, if that'd be helpful to anyone.

The video in the OP is from an old version of the FM (the pre-1.5 PFM) and might not be all too useful of a learning tool.

I was unaware of the spawn stuff when I posted... I'm with you on that, it seems pretty dumb...That said, its quite likely that we'll be outnumbered 5:1 during the day, so really, who cares about spawns? :)

We get to launch Mirages out of captured airfields? I think we agree that's kinda dumb. You do get player MiG-29Ss, btw. I doubted it too, then I joined the server and checked the Red slot list! :) Edit: Guess I should've checked Blue, as well! lol I dunno, I'd like to go back to forward MiG-21s on both teams - That said, if it doesn't get changed and Blue still gets Mirages at captured spawns, would MiG-29As be a big deal for Red captured spawns? Anyone?
