  1. Can't +rep that... :D
  2. 3) Now I can actually have a merge with Stuge and not eat 30mm or an Archer after 5 seconds. :megalol:
  3. Nice picture!
  4. Seems like 9.5G with a full fuel and weapon load, more like 10+ with high amounts of either fuel or weapons... Tacview doesn't like showing certain parameters for me right before my aircraft explodes or the track ends...Noticed this in non-DCS tracks as well.
  5. There's a bit of an annoyance with the Flanker in air start editor missions...I can't get 100% fuel, it spawns with 85%...Anyway, Here're three tacviews of the overload. 2 clean with 85% fuel, 1 with 2 R-73s on wingtips, 2 ERs on the centerline, and 2 ERs on the wings. Not sure if they attached right or not...Hmmm....Will edit if needed. Here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/v0555u4iaiobk7q/AACNq_a_scg2RSMGNELl1K2-a?dl=0 EDIT: BTW, I'm using the wheel brake key to overload.
  6. Don't use wheel brake at high G, either. (Disables AOA (or G?) limiter but not the FCS)
  7. Fully agree that if the F-15 has an approachable max overload, it should be modeled. Fully disagree that it should be modeled on grounds of "fairness"
  8. Unload and extend... Turn back in after about 10-12 miles and try to merge again.
  9. Most of the time labels are disabled in the server host/mission editor options so you can use 'em anyway. I'd recommend leaving them on, you can easily disable them (Left shift F10).
  10. Don't wait, dude, get out there and kill stuff online. There are many people who'll help you with the air to air element of the game. Highly recommend getting teamspeak 3 if/when you hop online, its very very difficult to play online or learn without TS...I tried that for a year or so and it really didn't work.

    DCS: F-5E!

    You mean MiG-28?
  12. You can turn the radar or EO on in funnel and go to LCOS, though. That is what he's asking about, I think...
  13. Right, so the Mirage isn't flying realistically, but the Flanker and its (B)S key is fine? That's hilarious.
  14. I tend to think that the 80s/90s radars would use JEM, but yeah, you're right.....Its an assumption.
  15. He's moving the radar cursor, not the scan zone. BTW, I use the "radar target range" or whatever command (the command that adjusts the expected range in the Flanker) on the same hat with my elevation control...That command adjusts the azimuth scan zone (TWS is 60 degrees, you can manually force 60 in RWS for faster updates).
  16. Automagic IFF. Also, NCTR doesn't have any aspect limitations in-game... :( (it is limited to 25nmi and can't ID targets at the gimbal, though.)
  17. The actual scan zone keys? left/right has no function.
  18. ^You guys don't want to fight a Raptor? :D
  19. See spoiler, that might help you with the dogfighting stuff. Also, this: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/645693/?sphrase_id=3147574 Those are the performance charts for the F-15C with the engines we have in-game. As for the second part of your post: The Eagle shows threat range, which is basically signal strength with some modifications (certain radars appear at different positions even if they're at the same range). edit: Actually, I think the Flanker does the same thing... :P I'd recommend opening up the editor, spawning an F-15 and a radar, and using the F10 map + ranging tool to figure that stuff out! For active radar AAMs you can usually tell their range by the RWR, but (in MP, at least) I've had some issues where the M icon will stay in one position and then I go boom, guess its desync or something... For the other missiles, you can usually judge distance by the smoke trail.
  20. Maybe they'll actually release that darn X-wing from last year!
  21. IIRC the TDC center actually centers the radar antenna and possibly resets some things...
  22. That would be an interesting thing to test.... Not that I'd really like to fly for 6 hours, but..........
