Same. Somewhat feels like the reticle for the left and right rocketpod are switched. Although, I could be totally wrong and be overlooking something obvious.

This is a very niche request, and I have no idea if RAZBAM can even change it or if ED has to, but I here I go: Currently with unlimited ammo enabled you have to go through the cool down/align process every time the Maverick "respawns" on your aircraft. It would be neat if that could be skipped, meaning once you cooled down/aligned the first one, the subsequent mavericks would be ready to fire as soon as they respawn on your aircraft. Right now, you have to wait 3 minutes inbetween each maverick shot. :( Loving the module so far, can't wait for more systems to come online :).

DCS: F/A-18C Screenshots and Videos (NO DISCUSSION)

-

Adding kneeboard pages from mission file
El Bastardo replied to El Bastardo's topic in Bugs and Problems
Sadly, I couldn't tell you if I wanted to. Since I got the viggen, I have had 40+ blank pages at the end of the viggens kneeboard. The only additional pages in there are from this mod. Deleting the mod didn't get rid of the blank pages either. I know that you need a lua file for every image you want to display on the kneeboard. Problem is, what directory would I even specify in there if I wanted to load an image from a mission file, which could be saved anywhere by a user. Lua File: -
Yes, they can. Provided both laser codes match and the bomb is dropped where it can spot the laser and has enough energy and time to guide itself onto the target. No idea if there's any documentation. The entries in the ME change the corresponding digit, marked by an x, in the laser code. The first digit cannot be changed, 1x11 changes the second digit, 11x1 changes the third digit and 111x changes the last digit. Example (Laser code 1246): You can also change the laser code and more from the Kneeboard. I don't know if you can change it midflight or only on the ground, I haven't tried it yet.

For some aircraft (A-10C & F-5 for sure), creating the following folder structure within a .miz file allows a picture to show up in the kneeboard of the specified aircraft. KNEEBOARD/<Aircraft>/IMAGES/<picture.png> This doesn't work in the viggen and I am now wondering if it is even possible. :( Does it require a different folder structure and/or folder names? I'd appreciate any help.

So.... is the banging of the compressor stall gone for good now or will it return? :helpsmilie:

DCS\MissionEditor\modules\me_route.lua Should look like this: plane_one_point = { actions.turningPoint, actions.flyOverPoint, actions.takeoffRunway, actions.takeoffParking, actions.takeoffParkingHot, actions.landing, actions.takeoffGround, --added as a mod actions.takeoffGroundHot, --added as a mod }, plane_first_point = { actions.turningPoint, actions.flyOverPoint, actions.takeoffRunway, actions.takeoffParking, actions.takeoffParkingHot, actions.takeoffGround, --added as a mod actions.takeoffGroundHot, --added as a mod source: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=178670 p.s.: AI might have trouble with this, not sure.

While that is true, you'd have to either sacrifice range of motion, linearity or both to set up the detent correctly and you'd have to do that for every aircraft. It's not the end of the world but it could be so much easier, while also taking full advantage of your hardware, with the aforementioned feature. Any chance you could upload that 3 stage detent? :smilewink:
-
He didn't mention any other aircraft than the F-5 so his observations are valid. I filed my detent down and I'm getting the same results for the F-5. Then I tested it with other aircraft and got the following results: Works well: F-5, F-15C, Viggen AB lights well beyond detent: M2K, MiG21/29A/29S, Su33, AB lights before detent: Su27 You're correct that every aircraft has a different threshold for the AB and we seriously need an option to customize that threshold ourselves, while retaining the full range and linearity of the throttle. Much like the game that must not be named around here. :music_whistling: He flies the T-38 in real life. :pilotfly:

Does this mean they won't lawn dart but instead keep pulling until they leveled out and wait for their "consciousness" to return? I want to see the AI punished for over-Gs :joystick:
-
Yeah, that was clear. But since I can't help you with that and the ELINT functions somewhat similar to a recon pod, I thought I just mention it in case you didn't know about it, like I did for quite some time. :)

The viggen already features something similar, it's called ELINT. You can't take pictures but you can go SAM-Hunting with it. It records radar emmisions and other properties of the radar wave to triangulate and identify the source, very crude explanation. Here's a discussion: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=182428&highlight=viggen+elint Some documents from one of the devs: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1cRKo8IY4GF8bXhUq8LJeRJKLc4oXJwwLeUp2_xXy7C8/edit#slide=id.p6 https://www.dropbox.com/s/ukxjmr5ymnuoz19/elint.pdf?dl=0 A Youtube tutorial:

VKB discontinued the base only option. https://vkbcontrollers.com/?p=5914 You can still buy the base with the KG12 grip and just switch the grip out for the warthog. But you'll need the warthog adapter for that, which requires you to open up the grip. Virpil on the other hand will sell you the base as a standalone. Which works with the warthog grip out of the box, plug and play. No idea on either order status, I'd just ask them directly for an expected wait time.

The boom operator is just slow. If you aren't close to motionless from his point of view, he won't be able to connect the boom. Once you're connected there's a lot more room for "error".

Nordic Battle - Viggen DCE campaign
El Bastardo replied to Cristofer's topic in User Created Missions General
I found the culprit. I just added a "Debriefing" and "Debug" folder. "\EN\Campaigns\Nordic Battle\Debriefing" "\EN\Campaigns\Nordic Battle\Debug" I'm guessing it tried to write the Debrief 1.txt file into the "Debriefing" folder which didn't exist and therefor crashed the dynamic campaign engine. I'm also able to play the campaign without having to start dcs with admin rights. Can't wait to get properly started with the campaign :) Thanks again for all your work creating this campaign. -
Nordic Battle - Viggen DCE campaign
El Bastardo replied to Cristofer's topic in User Created Missions General
Same result. :( I've tried the Mirage over Caucasus campaign and it works so far. Although I get a couple command prompt pop ups as well but one of them stays and lets me decide whether I accept the outcome or not, the debrief shows up as well. -
Nordic Battle - Viggen DCE campaign
El Bastardo replied to Cristofer's topic in User Created Missions General
I updated to v1.1, made the changes to battle.cmp and ran the game as admin, yet the problem persists, still a bunch of command prompts pop up for a split second after I exit the mission and the debrief is still MIA. Furthermore, isn't stable and beta the same at the moment, 1.5.6.5199? I'm out of ideas at the moment. -
Nordic Battle - Viggen DCE campaign
El Bastardo replied to Cristofer's topic in User Created Missions General
First of all, thank you for making this campaign. I ran into a problem, whenever I exit a mission the command prompt pops up and closes itself within a split second a couple of times. The debrief txt file doesn't seem to open at all. The necessary modifications to the missionscripting.lua have been made. However the campaign continued after the first mission onto the next mission. But now I am stuck at the second mission (SEAD against Sochi while F-16 destroy it) since I can't accept the results due to the command prompt only popping up for a split second. On another note, the readme on page 2 states: Is this campaign only for the open beta branch of 1.5? Might be the root of the problems I'm having, I'm running the stable version. Was Operation Red Bear the original name and you changed it to Nordic Battle? If so, please consider updating the readme. -
Hi, I've got a few problems with the kneeboard. I already disabled all mods, deleted the saved games folder, reinstalled the module and DCS entirely, but the problems persist. Some parts of the default kneeboard pages are see-through/blank. But more important, I have 61(!!!!!) of these blank pages in the kneeboard. How do I get rid of these? :helpsmilie: Might there be a value somewhere that isn't reset properly, i.e. it expects 61 custom pages even though I deleted them? Also what is this page for? The format of the text looks all wrong. I'd appreciate any help.
