  1. Agreed, the more I play with it the more impressed I am! Just a warning for the brave, the M-2000C requires a little bit of tinkering yourself because RAZBAM has been merrily changing the way certain controls work, and it will probably continue to do so.
  2. To the far left, way below the radar panel, then you get some emergency switches, and then you have the FBW test/control switches below a red cover.
  3. The mirage is just fine, it's difficult to down it, sure. At the end of the day I'd rather see it included then excluded unless we want to go down a path where we end up with a SU-27 vs F-15C game.
  4. Erm, the fight is still going on. REDfor won last time even though we were also pushed backed into the final PAK. Nothing is lost and that final pak is damned difficult to invade as has been proven last time.
  5. Home Fries you rock! Thanks for all the hard works so that I don't have to do it! I think your programming is well documented too(had a quick look through it to see if I could find the problem).
  6. RudderPedals = 0 and revANTRudder = 0 as well. I double checked, the TIR is set to move along the Z and not zoom. It's also assigned to a different axis. Thanks for checking!
  7. For some reason the Hotas Cougar RX axis, ANT ELEV, is not being using in the Thrustmaster Combined profile, in the TARGET Device Analyzer it shows up as working on the left(Default stick, Rx axis) but when I move it, it does nothing on the right of the window(Rx again). All the other axis from the Cougar work fine though so this is leaving me slightly confused. I have installed the CCP panel and made sure that all the tickboxes are set and assigned correctly. But, I am positive I am missing something. Any hints? I've done the setup from scratch twice now In Accordance With the manual. Tested both with the UH-1H and the FC3 profile, SU-25T aircraft.
  8. Are you sure T.A.? The distance the Antenna moves when going into PID/PIC is still just as much as before, although maybe it was never as bad for me as it was for others. It moves about 1 bar down.
  9. It ought to be like that by default though, atleast for me it is/was. I'll have to check if it still works since the most recent patch.
  10. Well if you want it to be the finished product and not encounter game-breaking bugs, then you should really wait. Not sure what you are looking for though, anything that is a game-breaker to you?
  11. The Magic II is easy to use and the best missile, It works great in head-on engagements, especially compared with the 530D.
  12. Could someone please post a track so we can see what is going on? It would probably be important for the dev's to be able to replicate this issue.
  13. It seems pretty accurate to me, although I have no experience with takeing off with a jetfighter. you've got to imagine that the forward thrust is reducing drag that keeps the airplane stationary, from that point onwards the wind has quite a moment on the backwheels(distance nose to MLG is usually longer then tail to MLG) that creates a turning moment.
  14. Are you talking about the Twitchy Elevon? Because I observed that too, it looked like the system was unsure what to do when the aircraft was at rest.
  15. There's a story behind that that people took the wrong way. In blue we were sitting in teamspeak when someone made the remark(jokeingly) to crash the server. I consequently suggested making a screenshot, people laughed and smashed the key to prove a point I suppose. Anyway, that got taken too seriously by some people.
  16. Yes, and I told you all aircraft roll off the runway with crosswind. Unless you can provide a track file to show us exactly what you are doing we cannot help you. It will just be a back and forth of people saying 'it feels wrong' or 'it feels right'. Give yourself a 7 knots crosswind on a runway, take off and show us what's happening. Then we can help you instead of operating on this vague premise.
  17. The radar has a 120 degree arc, if you select a 30(either way from straight ahead) or lower width you can then move the scanning left and right. It will not surpass the 120 degree arc in front of you though.
  18. Pretty much, the russian equivelant to the AIM-120 is the R-77 I suppose, which is not very effective at all. The R-3R is quite a missile though, shame the Mig-21 isn't quite working right now. I haven't quite gotten my head wrapped around the performance of the 530D though.
  19. Just tested this in the mission editor. 7m/s crosswind on roughly a 90 degree angle from the runway, both the SU-27 as well as the F-15C are affected by the wind and will enter the grass at approximately the same point when leaving all control inputs centralized. I would recommend being gentle on the rudder inputs and making sure nose wheel steering is off. EDIT: The A-10A, the Mig-21Bis, and the M-2000C also all leave the runway more or less where the earlier mentioned planes do.
  20. -Rudder Authority: that's why you align up first, crosswind can be countered by full pedal if required. -Nose Steering: Haven't looked into the specifics but given that this is a FBW plane it might be the computer overriding the steer command due to the lack of forward speed. -Twitchy Elevon: I think it's the FBW system mixing the different input signals.
  21. Unlock it and the radar usually comes up again. note that TWS is based on predictions and is not actively tracking the target as STT does. The radar still does it normal selected sweep/bar scan, so by the time the sweep goes over the expected target position it might have moved. If I am correct that is, this is what I have mostly observed so far. Also the radar seems to be a lot more finnicky in single player then multiplayer.
  22. That is a fair point, last night 373-Frogman attacked, in a Mirage 2000-C, a flight of 3 Mirage 2000-C's coming back from a patrol. With heaters. At the end that patrol flight had a attrition ratio of 66% so yeah, we can't blame it all on him though ;)
  23. People will fly it, people fly whatever they find fun and enjoyable, and right now many people love the Gazelle.
  24. Pretty good idea to have it replace the Ka-50 for blue. Not as powerful as the Shark but hey, another interesting change!
  25. Yes I totally get that, the Mig-21Bis radar is currently broken, they are hoping for a fix today if the earlier messages were correct. But yes, Sochi is difficult to defend, no doubt about that. Had to do a few helicopter trips over the mountain last time to refuel it and then quickly set-up extra defensive measures. I had good fun defending it though, try and find a little joy in that area or perhaps shift your attention east if you really don't like sochi?
