Have you tried the spline method? Or just the square planes with alpha texture?
-
Not sure if any version has this because while arg 7 might be for altitude needle in an aircraft, it could be for radar rotation on a ship. Modelviewer has no idea if it is opening an aircraft of a ship so even if it had a database to check on, it would not be helpful. As answered by someone on the previous page, you need to do the Make Cool and assign the texture. Check the first post for the most frequent resolution to issues like this. Also take a look at the basic guide in the first post. Use 94949 for now. Chinese export is still being looked at. What version of Windows do you have and what language is it? Any language packs installed? Process for creating alpha channels changed between when TOMCATZ made that model and now. Although I have not done it recently, Joey's method looks right and he is usually spot on. (unless I tell him otherwise :P)

Is your question: How do you make the usual little lights work WITHOUT using the bano method? What is the argument needed to have the lights turn on? or both? Someone remind me about this tomorrow.
-
export in....modelviewer? why are you exporting there
-
Dunno, but aways best to use standalone id say
-
Crap, I guess I forgot to post that the Model Viewer should be working again as of a few weeks ago. Joey, what do you mean, sort of?

I hated the back inflate too. I went with the vest style with the inflator on the side rather than over the shoulder
-
You using the big boy aluminum 100 at that pressure? or you getting spoiled early with steel tanks? I finally broke down and got myself an HP100 and LP95 steel. Hard to go back to aluminum because of the buoyancy differences.

I'm on the fence about nitrox. I only did the certification because it was discounted to $20 and was only a single classroom session. I have never used it though. A few boat trips I have been on have offered it but just never could justify the extra $10 bucks or so for a nitrox tank. Even multiple deep 70-80 foot dives I've never had an issue with muscle nitrogen load to the point where I thought I should have used it. It would probably be beneficial if you are doing multiple back to back dives, but all the boats out by me go to a different dive site each time so that is not really a relevant factor as you get nice surface time during the move. If you are not advanced open water yet, id recommend saving for that before Nitrox. It is rare, but some places wont let you do certain dives without it. It also reinforces compass navigation, visual navigation, and a few other things that was nice

Ive been certified for about 4 years now. Open water, Advanced open water, Nitrox, and soon to be Rescue diver. Its an amazing world under the water and you will be addicted forever Cali. I've done dives in California, Hawaii, Mexico, Cozumel, and Caribbean. As far as the most memorable dive......probably one off the coast of San Diego. There is a Canadian WWII destroyer that is down at around 70-100 feet that is super fun to go through. It can get a little surgy but well worth it. The way the boat is laying and how the surge goes over the holes to swim through, you can actually get sucked in if you are not careful; but two seconds later you get spit back out. It is fun to watch the rookie divers swim over an access hole and suddenly go in when the surge kicks, and then pop back out. Cozumel is the prettiest places I have been so far though. 100+ foot visibility can not be beat. It also has Drift Diving which is cool. The current is constant and strongish. The boat will drop you off at point A, then you just let the ocean carry you across the dive site and the boat will pick you up at point B. Got some nice videos here if anyone wants to check them out: http://www.youtube.com/user/luckybob9/videos

Assuming renders work properly in max, try the calculate normals setting in the EDM options. No
-
My best guess would be that it WAS a way to switch back and forth for testing when they made the change from lsa2 to lsa3. Most likely just leftover stuff
-
Doubtful. Current engine uses lsa3. lsa2 is old technology for FC and BS1. No converter exists that I am aware of

Per the first post:
-
Unfortunately, there are none for 3ds Max Design
-
FYI, if any object is sharing textures, I can usually make it use a unique one if you want. Also I can usually assign a normal map for extra detail to any existing model
-
can you send me the working file you have in 2010 format. I havent set an arg based map animation in a while and want to make sure it is like yours. Feel free to make a new file and just merge the parts in question if you do not want to share a full file
-
Ive never really done it, sorry. I tried it once when it first got implemented, but not really since then
-
ohhhhhh this is for modelviewer? I am guessing it is still undergoing changes like it has been the past month or so. Use the one bundled with the sim for now
-
still an issue? viewing .LOM formats are no longer supported. I do not know exactly when it happened but maybe try a viewer from a few months ago

August is "later in 2014". So is September, October, November, and December. Even tomorrow is "Later in 2014"

Usually yes, but I'm going out of my way here to push for a resolution to this issue and people aren't giving me the needed information. And I'm jetlagged Just a heads up, if nobody who has the issue with 3ds max detection gets me their registry exports by the middle of next week, I am going to declare the issue resolved.
-
when its ready of course :)
-
I need those registry exports...

I havent tried, but I think the plugins are not edge specific. So i believe current plugins will work in current DCS version. Otherwise I probably would have heard of some issues like I have about ModelViewer
