  2. In the EDM settings in max there something about using world or local coordinates. That might be it if my memory is right

  4. I just checked my visitor message thingy. A TRUE airport, (name, adf, radios, AI landing/takeoff, all that fun stuff), is not possible from what I know without the tools which are not publicly released. I believe static objects will work but there might be issues with the game engine recognizing it as something that an aircraft can land on without blowing up at a certain speed. Having a static object with refueling trucks etc so the player can rearm/refuel....not sure. It might have to be tied to a TRUE airport, but never tested it.

  12. Lockon 1.0 does not have Starforce. Force install as administrator in case it doesn't call the system properly for elevated privileges, and set the .exe to compatibility mode for Windows XP. I thinks that is all I did to get it working.
  13. Temptextures takes priority over the main location so my guess is that the mod creator used that so it wouldent overwrite any files. Assuming my memory is correct: For airbases that have been redone since FC1 days, there should be their own .zip file containing their textures in a name that relates to the airfield. For ones that have not been redone, they share the generic runway textures with the names specified in that mod
  14. Are you relatively new to 3ds max? I would follow the guide on the first post and start out with a simple box or building to get the hang of it. Then try a simple animation. 3ds max builds on itself so if you try to jump into it with a pre-done model, it wont be as beneficial as making your own basic one to start with
  15. It should. The downside is that you must re-export to change lod values instead modifying the corresponding .lods file

  21. As per the EDM FAQ thread, the current versions of Model Viewer are undergoing changes current and do not currently work. Videos have been on my todo list but have not had time. In the EDM thread there is a basic model guide where you can start. I also have a basic animation and basic LOD guide almost done but needs to be proofread. Maybe I should finish that this week....Feel free to PM specific questions but just do a quick search in the forums first since I might take a few days to respond.

  23. The tower of the airfield under attack is broadcasting the message over all frequencies to alert everyone to help :)
  24. Use triggers and it should work fine I would think. When units gets destroyed inside trigger of airfield, play the sound. When enemy aircraft enter trigger of airfield, play the sound.
