No, I took the shot and then tweaked it in Paint Shop Pro 8.1 a little. But SweetFX is a good idea. I use it in other sims. I think I'll give it a try.

Flying SAR guard in the Mi-8MTV2.

Taking off from the cruiser Москва in the KA-50.

Could have been an aneurysm. They'll drop you quick. Then again, you may have flown over an area infected with Ebola. :D

Yep, I'd buy a Jaguar module. I wouldn't mind a Buccaneer, either.

I would definitely buy a free standing Su-27 module with clickable cockpit and all the features. Something on the level of the A-10C would be nice. I would also buy a MiG-29 free standing module. And I wouldn't mind the Su-24M, either. If they turned some of the AI helicopters into modules I wouldn't mind either. But yeah, a full treatment Su-27 would be great!

Your co-pilot looked a little concerned while the aircraft teetered on the crane, LOL! Great sensation of speed in that second video! Thanks for sharing the videos. Oubaas

So now that we have Sin City and surrounding area to play in, let's see your most creative landings/activities. The rooftops are land-able, although on this one they have cleverly installed a one meter thick invisible force field. Very high tech. Probably a security measure to keep you from actually touching their roof. But you can land on the force field, even though you can't see it. Off the rooftops, there's plenty of on-ground helicopter parking downtown. And I see that they're practicing for the race. So there you have it. The gauntlet has been thrown down. Let's see your best Huey-in-Vegas stuff. Oubaas :D

My wallet and I are standing by for release. You can't have too many helicopters.

Very true! I have also found that it has greatly improved my performance in shipboard operations, especially aboard smaller vessels where there's not much room. It's a technique worth practicing. I used the mission editor to create some ramp start missions and they've been useful in practicing both cold and dark startups as well as air taxiing. That practice has paid off nicely in improving my Huey performance.
-
Anybody else do much air taxiing? I like to start up on the ramp and then air taxi out to the runway. It took me about 15 missions before I really got the knack and stopped wallowing around, but now I can drive the Huey around the airfield like I'm driving a sports car. If you haven't tried it, give it a shot, loads of fun. But if you haven't done it before, expect to need a little practice before you can stay in your own lane.

Yeah, I should have added that. But if they meet that standard, I want them. All of 'em. Oubaas :D

Let's go, chopper jocks! The mud movers have taken the lead! :D
-
Yep, I'm in! I'll take the Mirage F1 and I'm planning to get the C-101 when it gets a final flight model.

What do you mostly do in DCS World? I spend most of my time with helicopters. But I do fly the other stuff sometimes and I'm especially fond of the MiG-21bis and the A-10C. But mostly, I fly stuff that hovers. BTW, the L-39, by virtue of having light attack capabilities, goes under "Fixed-wing mud movers" in case anybody is wondering. So what's yours? Oubaas

I'd like a Sea Stallion, or a Sea Knight, or a Sea King, or a Sea Sprite. Any of the Russian choppers would be good too. A UH-2A in HC-7 Big Mothers livery from the USS Preble detachment would be great. That was the helicopter that Clyde Lassen flew for his Medal of Honor mission. A friend of mine was the door gunner on that mission and was awarded the Silver Star. It would make an excellent module for operating on Arleigh Burke class destroyers. But truthfully, I'll buy any and all helicopters for DCS immediately when they become available. It doesn't matter what they are, I'll take 'em.

Thanks a million upuaut! I really appreciate it. That pretty much rounds out my Huey skins for me. I guess I'll have to fly some mountain rescues on the Caucasus map. Thanks again! Oubaas

The more features we get, the better I like it.

Yes, it looks very much like the orange and white scheme pictured above. I believe the type/model/series was HH-1H. Here's one view that I found of an HH-1N circa 1994. In 1978, they looked a lot like this if I'm not mistaken, but would have had lower Bureau numbers than 158246. Thanks for taking a look at the project guys! Oubaas:)

Back in 1978 an old friend of mine, Benny Revels, was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps medal, the U. S. Navy's highest peacetime award for herosim, for a rescue while flying with NAS Lemoore SAR. Here's some details: http://publications.americanalpineclub.org/articles/13197902702/Fall-on-Rock-Inadequate-Protection-No-Hard-Hat-California-Yosemite-Valley If any of you skin artists have the inclination, a NAS Lemoore SAR skin would be nice. And if you're really feeling ambitious, a VXE-6 Antarctica skin would be nice, too. Oubaas

And all I can say is, Viva Las Vegas!" Do you think I can trust the parking valets at Harrah's with this thing? :D
-
Keep the windows on top. Sky up, runway down, LOL!

Hmmm, an Su-30 would be pretty hot stuff. I wouldn't mind the Su-15 mentioned above, either. I always thought that was an interesting aircraft. Oubaas

For Russian aircraft, I like the MiG-21, KA-50, and the MI-8. I'm still waiting to add the MiG-15 and the L-39. U. S. Aircraft, the A-10C, F-86, and UH-1 are great. It would be tough for me to specify a favorite from that lot, but if you pressed me, the MiG-21 is truly awe inspiring, a beautifully done module. But they're all great, really. I haven't hit a bad one yet. Oubaas
