  1. Exactly. What I'm asking is for ED to keep it around "forever". No need to add an option either.
  2. At this point, the easiest solution would be to keep the old controller in. New users will find the new implementation (now with a correct angle), whilst old users just need a JSGME mod to keep their years old settings and muscle memory.
  3. That's always been like that unfortunately.
  4. Seems like a decent patch, yes. I'm quite curious to see the changes to TIR though.
  5. If you want a more structured training mission you might be interested in my mission, here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=166601
  6. Thanks! Unfortunately I'm away for the weekend, so you'll have to wait until Monday, sorry.
  7. Also, the pendulosity as well.
  8. Thanks, was about to post this. Unfortunately, my friend who coded the site I used mistakingly deleted his database, meaning all the code with the instructions is gone. If there is a need for it and someone can send me the relevant files, I can write it down again from scratch.
  9. This same thing happened from 1.5.2 to 1.5.3. No objective visual improvements, worse performance for a lot of people but never for any of the testers, ED saying it was our systems fault.
  10. Which begs the question, did nobody at ED or their testers do some reaserch?
  11. Unfortunately ED's stance until now has been that this new POV is the correct one, and the old one the wrong one.
  12. Snapviews don't seem to work for everyone.
  13. It's quite minor, but could we add the fact that the AI never goes to the selected parking spot after landing?
  14. It came in again with 1.5.4, hopefully they'll fix it in the next release.
  15. We'll have to wait for ED to fix the taxiing AI first.
  16. It comes down to the mission's creator to decide whether you have a defined home base or not. The quick action missions are there just to let you quickly shoot some stuff, but most missions and campaigns are much more structured.
  17. A revamped ATC is in the works. Right now, once you land it's up to you to decide where to taxi. Regarding the instant action missions, you can RTB wherever you want. The CDU DIVERT subpages lists the closest airfields, select one and a WP will be added on its position.
  18. FPM stands for Flight Path Marker, known as TVV (total velocity vector) as well.
  19. Well, technically in the current implementation the ladder does not use the FPM as the rotation point.
  20. The HUD is not sanctioned for instruments flying.
  21. Given how even with the stable release of 1.5.4 the night lighting bug isn't fixed, I'll release 1.2.1 with the starting time in the morning rather than just before dawn. It'll make for a less atmospheric flight, and the F-117 presence won't make much sense, but it's better than flying without flood lights and dealing with a blind AI. At any rate, I really like how the mission flies with these new additions, so let me know what you think! I made a couple of last minutes changes I did not have the time to test, so let me know if the mission still flies fine. - Changed starting time to 0900Z. - Changed mission title in the briefing for consistency. - Converted audio files from .wav to .ogg format for a smaller .miz file size. - Added briefing images about AFAC threats, targets positioning in the AG range, and loadout. - Added METAR string to the briefing. - Lowered wind speed at ground level. - Added a radio squelch sound effect every time a new instruction text block appears during the mission. - Added VOs for UZI giving BDA feedback throughout the sortie. Briefing and UZI flight plan updated accordingly. - Changed some of the VO timings, now the other assets answer immediately. Temporarily silenced the AI to avoid VO overlap. - Lowered the AA RANGE waypoint's altitude to 5000 feet. - Changed AWACS frequency to 126.00 AM. Briefing updated accordingly. - Added a dearming station after landing. Briefing updated accordingly. - Added loadouts to the parked aircrafts. - Fixed a possible bug in the AFAC portion of the sortie. - Added a previously missing (rare) possible result. - Slightly change positioning and units of the friendly HAWK SAM. - Changed some of the popup text regarding the AFAC, AG RANGE, and RTB portions of the sortie. - Fixed a possible bug with the AA range triggering too soon. - Fixed a possible sequence of events locking UZI in place in the AFAC area. - Staggered UZI's egress from the AFAC area to avoid VO overlaps. - Fixed towers being reported as dead only after crumbling. - Added notes on the MANPAD head on range in the briefing.
  22. The last time was because of new entries being added in the .lua, so it may very well be about the FW-190 rockets. EDIT: Attached is a JSGME ready version of the mod, with the new entries added. Other than the new rockets, the "caliber" property was added to the following warheads as well: - MALUTKA - KONKURS - P_9M117 - P_9M119 - P_9M133 - TOW Gameplay - Warheads Enhancement.rar
