  2. Everything went back to normal using the fix for the previous OB.
  3. Is this intended behaviour? In the previous 1.5.4 open beta the 500 meters value would be hardcoded to double the 0 value (which is consistent behaviour with how the wind has always worked up until now).
  4. It's not. No more slanted angle, but the head position is wrong and the limitations are still there.
  5. Thanks, downloading the GAU-8 tweak now.
  6. Good luck, there's a lack of Italian planes in the sim at the moment.
  7. Mk-82 AIRs are indeed less precise than normal Mk-82, due to the retarding method they use. They're meant to be fired while very low and in a ripple setting. Don't try to plink single targets in a dive or from more than a thousand feet with them, that's not what they're for. You mean the laser. Yes you do need it to keep the target painted. Setting the DSMS to autolase 10 seconds before impact works most of the time for most attack profiles. For more information about how the sim handles TGP, ranging, lasing, and their limitations, see this thread. The keyhole limitation was added a few months ago. See this post. MFCDs are not supposed to be looked at through the NVG. I suggest using this mod to get rid of the pretty terrible stock NVGs, making it easier to look "below" them. Not that I know of. Ironically, it's one cockpit element that when illuminated is only readable through NVGs. Normal behaviour. NET OSB in the TAD. See the manual for details. AI is aware of your SPI at all times, regardless of your settings. For MP, set SPI BROADCAST on the TAD (or DMS LEFT LONG). No need to add a SEAD weapon to a platform not made for SEAD. Yes, see this thread.
  8. Since I really like your Judy avatar, here you are: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B-lTLrKHEXokZHpxRDZxVHgtbk0
  9. Sure. This guide should get you started: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=60815 If you're having problems, just ask for help in that thread.
  10. Thanks to both of you. Having you guys answering these questions here in the forums is truly compelling from the point of view of us sim enthusiasts.
  11. That would be PREP. Page 89 of the manual.
  12. Are you sure you have the latest version of the manual? The whole PREP and DEST section explains how to deal with adding waypoints and such.
  13. Yeah sorry. For most sources I mean reddit posts, forum posts, and general consensus. I already had the feeling your document had the correct values anyways, I was just curious to know if there was a particular reason or not. I'll change my habits from 180 KIAS climb to 200 KIAS from now on.
  14. Question: the climb speed in the document is 200 KIAS, but I've mainly read 180 KIAS on most sources. Is there a specific reason for the discrepancy, or is it simply a matter of different standards?
  15. A question for the IRL experts: if a Warthog is grounded for a few days (due to maintenance or simply no scheduled flights), are all the stores removed or are they kept on the pylons? I suppose any ammunition would be removed and stored, but what about TGPs and ECM pods? Are there different rules depending on training/normal deployement or actual combat deployement as well? Thanks!
  16. What do you need it for? If it's only to export the MFCDs, RWR and such on a secondary display, you can simply use the integrated DCS functions.
  17. Bug regarding the MANPAD reported, they're working on it internally: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2825121#post2825121 I'll provide a MANPAD free version for 1.5.4 only as soon as I get home later this afternoon.
  18. Great, thanks! If it helps, in my testing so far, if they fire they also are vulnerable.
  19. It's a really inconsistent. Sometimes I add them to the editor and they work, sometimes they don't. In my testing so far, if they fire they also are vulnerable.
  20. Did anyone manage to reproduce? This bug is breaking a mission of mine, and even after hours of testing I can't reliably find a reason for the MANPADS sometimes working and sometimes not.
  21. His decision to leave the forums is more than justified. He is promoting it well enough, just not here.
  22. As per title, it seems MANPADS have a chance of both not firing and being invulnerable. Attached is a mission showing this problem. bug.miz
  23. Ok, resaved the mission under 1.5.4 and I'm experienced the same problem. Ialso found one minor possible unrelated bug, but it's a very rare occurence. I'll push 1.1.1 with that fixed and some briefing additions as soon as we get a stable release. There were some changes in the editor under 1.5.4, that may explain the problems Zarma. With that said, for now only 1.5.3 is supported. Latest OB also has a bunch of problems with lighting (among other things), which makes the mission much darker than it should.
