  1. I personally noticed it doesn't always happen. Sometimes I get it, but most times I do not.
  2. Nope, I can't recall ever reading an official statement about it. I do remember a thread discussing it though.
  3. I think it's ground effect, something that was added only recently. It's particularly strong in the NTTR map (because of the higher temps?). Please bare with me linking Wikipedia as a source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ground_effect_(aerodynamics)
  4. Respect for the MDK song in the background. My only DCS video also has a couple.
  5. The A-10A-1 is posted as an official document back on the 476th, so I guess it's publicly available.
  6. Also, the LGBs use bang-bang guidance, and I think JDAMs have a more efficient guiding method. Here is the quote from Eddie about how JDAMs really work I mentioned:
  7. Oh OK, my mistake.
  8. Isn't Link16 a protocol SADL is built upon?
  9. JDAMs are one of the less realistic aspect in the module, along with the Link16 stuff. There was a nice post about their real capabilities somewhere, I'll try and find it later.
  10. This is actually a very good idea.
  11. Finally got around to printing it:
  12. GBU-38s and some well placed markpoints.
  13. Campaigns don't work with injectors unfortunately.
  14. Do you have any injector such as SweetFX active?
  15. Congrats for the AFT release! If the rebate program is still valid, I'll buy it from the store as I did with the BFT.
  16. Yeah that's the current state of things. There was a post about it from Snoopy but I can't seem to find it right now. If you want study the airframe the 1A-10A-1 is available, and most of the information in there regarding hydraulics, engines, electronics and so on are applicable to the C variant.
  17. Do not underestimate the wingmen, they have perfect eyesight. An easy way to spot hidden targets is to ask them to attack their type with your SPI in the general area and use the TAD to hook their SPI.
  18. Hopefully they gave him another chance?
  19. The 476th 3-3 (written by crew chiefs that worked and are still working on the A-10C) presents this table: Be aware that the 1A-10C-1 is not a freely distributed and obtainable document: unless you have written consent from the DoD I'd be careful with similar statements.
  20. You mean for Tacview? I don't know, it depends wether Vyrtuoz decides to add it or not in the first place. Meanwhile, you can add it in yourself: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2912106&postcount=305
  21. Yeah Tornadeos aren't dogfighters anyway, even the ADV variant was basically a missile platform. British crews were told to zoom away if they ever found themselves in a knife fight.
  22. I though that as well, but I believe attack profiles in the Tornadoes are mostly fast enough that the wings are entirely swept back. Since in Tacview you're more prone to look at flights during engagements rather than takeoffs or landings, I opted to model it with the tighter angle.
  23. Updated the model with a few details, and also exported it correctly for Tacview. See this post: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2912106&postcount=305
  24. Many thanks, reloading the .obj in blender did it! I simply had Blender recalculate the normals on the imported model and re-exported it, it now is rendered correctly rendered by Tacview. I attached the .obj file for anyone who wants to use it. Instructions on how to add it in Tacview are available on the website: http://www.tacview.net/documentation/3dobjects/en/. Feel free to use it at your liking Vyrtuoz, you may freely add it to Tacview if you deem it of high enough quality. tornado.zip
  25. Thanks! I made a few changes, I'm now struggling with Tacview to have it rendered properly.
