Anyways, its not about the difference betwen afm and pfm, its only about knowing, that a real pilot tried it and stated that it feels like the real one. Thats why fsx is a game while dcs is a simulator.

I think it's by far superior, and a mig 21 wouldn't have a chance. Valid concurrence would be f-15, su 27 and su 33.

Take off at nellis afb, and fly low enjoying the graphics and checking the fps. First destination groom lake of course. Second one would be vegas. Can't wait. :D

I ask myself what would fly by wire mean for a simulation, since our inputs are anyways digital. What would be the main differences?

Plus: if i could fly for over 10 years with the f-15, i can fly for 20 with the mirage. :) Important is to avoid the movie "sky fighters" in order to keep the hype under control.

It would be based on unclassified info and what we saw on videos, so 80% fiction. Still better than nothing. :) Until this will happen we have enough modules. That would be horrible, i would prefer to spend a lot of money (which i dont have) in peripherals.. Also your hands would get pretty tired.

IMHO clickable cockpits are nice, but in the end they are meant for: startup, takeoff, navigation and radio. During combat all difference between ssm and asm disappears. Anyways, i would prefer to bind all functions on my keyboard/joystick rather than clicking arround.

It actually crashed yesterday, first time since months, i mostly can play without any problem. There is only one bug which really disturbs: Sometimes the 3d models disappear, the sky and the landscape becomes blue and i can't read the text anymore. (instead of letters i see small squares) Except this the problem with this "game" is that it's pretty heavy even if the graphics are not really advanced. The game freezes totally for 10 seconds every time i join a server and sometimes it might even stutter which is lethal during a formation flight. Also the framerate is very low when using flares or when the mirrors are on. (have a gtx 780ti, 2500k at 4.6ghz and 8gb of ram)This is probably fault of the drivers which are not really supporting dx9 anymore. That's also why i can't wait for 1.5, just some more days :D So i really recommend you and your friends, to deinstall this game, and reinstall it with antivirus off. Check all secondary programs/runtimes, maybe end some processes and it should be ok.

I would not do that, since 2016 nvidia will release pascal which is supposed to be way faster than 9 series. Idk about you guys but i point at playng with oculus rift and soon maybe even some kind of 4k vr headset so thats going to require a lot of resources. And speaking about that: is any support for htc vive planned? Apparently it works better than oculus

Its actually one gen newer. The 8 series never exsisted, exept for some rebrands of 7 series gpu. (Mobile, no desktop) Anyways the two gpus are performing almost equally, 780 might beat 970 at 1080p, while the 970 would perform better at higher resolutions. Sorry for OT
