Hey it's me :D Awesome flight, and the best thing was that you was headed exactly where i wanted to go, groom lake. :megalol:
-
That's actually the reason why i play lotto sometimes. :megalol:

It would add a lot of realism if the canopy would be more influenced by external conditions. I just saw this: [ame] [/ame] I guess it's a series of prerendered animations which react on the g force. Looks amazing and its on a ps4 (low-mid rage desktop pc)

Yes definitely, netcode seems way more stable. I even had( finally) my first formation flight with an l-39. Beautiful bird indeed.

Short question: is it possible that the engines might fail more often because of the sand or different air? Yesterday it happened twice (f-15), first time after a very low flight over the desert.

A long wait, a long time downloading but was it worth it ???

9 years here (yes i was waiting for an expantion with a new map for lock on), and yes! Totally worth it. The best thing is that sometimes when i fly i get the same feeling which i had when i was flying the f-22 over the desert in the 90s (did f-22) I really missed it, feels nice and somehow like home -
WOW, just... Could finally fly yesterday and it was awesome even if a bit chaotic. What i dont understand: since 1.5 came out i couldnt play online due to massive lag and lack of servers. It was a huge surprise when i discovered that there are servers with 30 players and more on 2.0. Will leave work early today :DD Ah and btw: try to eject over las vegas, the city is so detailed, you can even hear the sounds of cars and wind. So much details! (It's the first software i've ever used, which takes 7gb of ram)

Thats a spoiler and wasnt necessary at all... Was one of the first things i wanted to check today after work...

Great game but very hard for beginners...

I think you should understand what e meant without him to explain it exactly and precisely. It is a videogame because in the end we sit in front of a computer and have fun through an interactive software. It is sold with the same conditions as a regular videogame and so on but you guys can't deny that this is different from anything else on steam.. i mean come on, a serious simulator is not a regular game because it works totally different. The user needs to actually learn how to use it in order to enjoy it and specially: the developers don't base them decisions on what is more fun, but on what reflects the reality. Anyways in the end everything comes down to one difference: if you want to enjoy the game you need to invest time by researching. You don't need a headtracker, if you get used to the pointing stick which you should have (x-52), you'll be able to keep the overview anyways. It will be slower but surely possible. (I also use an x-52 and no problems, don't want to buy an headtracker since i'm waiting for oculus rift or htc wive) The interactive videos are not the best solution, my advice is to take notes and apply what you learned in a mission which you can create by simply placing your plane on a random airfield in the mission editor. You could also try to buy somewhere lock on, a really old version of dcs where the tutorials are actually interactive. About the flight maneuvers: practice and more practice, the best thing is to place enemy aircrafts without any weapon, only in dogfight you can learn to know what are the limits of your machine. Joystick profiles: dcs has a LOT of key commands, that is true. You can find on the forum a lot of configurations, only the most important commands should go to the stick at first. After this you can start to customize your own config. With dcs worls you have a great thing: during a single players mission you can customize your settings and see how to perform certain actions. Back in my days this wasn't possible, i needed to print all key settings and pin them to the wall at first. :D Btw, welcome :) It won't be easy but soon enough you will be having tons of fun. -
Might be, but no, it's not about which one is better, it's about them differences. I've been flying the f-15 for a decade now, and i think it will be a challange to get used to the fact that the mirage's wing's shape doesn't allow slow maneuvers like an f-15. Now if we think that most players online tend to fly low that might get really intresting. Anyways i think that until the release only a real mirage pilot could give solid tips.

Only thing what comes to my mind is: If you are in dogfight, flying low don't fly as it would be an f-15 because you'll be down faster than you would be able to notice.

If those screens have a different resolution there is nothing to do, as far as i know. Even if, say the lines of the cockpit would be alligned, further lines which are more far away (roads, mountains and so on) woudln't be. And vice versa. From what i saw dcs world is one of the only games which allows triple screen without setting the surround through nvidia control panel/CCC even with different resolutions, try through the surround setting maybe.

4th generation multirole, improved audio and graphics.. Hard to decide. Most important would be the stability of multiplayer sessions and the netcode.

i want it but i rarely win something, so i already congratulate myself with the lucky user. :)

That would be a catastrophy, there wouldn't be any concurence anymore so gpu tech would advance much slower. Probably intel would try to find it's way in that marked but this needs time and is risky. I never liked amd products, driver issues with gpus and the cpus are inferior to them intel counterparts since a lot of time. Really enjoyed my hd 6950 which i could flash in order to enjoy a 6970.

I think now its the best time for the announcement

Should I upgrade ram from 16GB for DCS 2?
XeNoise replied to dburne's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Luckily it's not 2025 yet -
Game crashes after 10-15 minutes, singleplayer and multiplayer. Usually it happens after changing visuals, couldn't reproduce the bug at will, it just needs some time before it will happen. I used the module FC3 and was flying with the f-15c. No mods were installed. Important: I included 3 crash logs in the zip, one of those belongs to a bug where if you try to join the l-39 without owning the module it will crash. DCS Reporting.zip

Is it possible we get a walk-around feature?
XeNoise replied to WildBillKelsoe's topic in DCS Wishlist
Would be really awesome, specially if we could spawn as pilots and join our plane by climbing on it. -
With your specs you don't need to worry. Everything max. The best thing is that now you can locate aircrafts even without radar and label, i guess it's the only game where a 4k monitor would also improve gameplay. :)

It distance in which 3d models are still shown. With enlarge you can see 3d models which are very far away.

The only reason why i keep 1.2 installed is for comparison. Will never play on it again.

I slept 3 hours. Flying over the water is just incredible, the sense of speed is something i've never have seen before. Smoke effects are soo beautiful. Didnt had a performance increase but i guess it's because of the higher settings. Still 60fps at 1080p so thats great. Only thing what i miss is the sonic boom and its vapor effect. Thanks ED!! Cant wait for tonight

Since i dont know where to post it ill just leave it here: what about the sonic boom? Will it ever be implemented? Maybe with anex vapor effect/sonic waves.
