Honestly, I also think the release of the Hind and possibly the Apache also factors in. Maybe they missed a deadline and now have to be put in a holding pattern until the Hind and Apache are out, then they can release it.

Some of the missions and campaigns are using the old clouds. Is there gonna be fixes for that?

I kinda feel like the clouds don't look that pretty for me in VR, (pictures a few posts above) even with my settings on Ultra, are there other graphical options that effect the visual quality of the clouds?

Yeah, following the thread here you're making two points that contradict each other. You want it to be fun and action packed but you also want to use "boring" tactics to basically win every fight you get into. All while being a one man show, which severely restricts your tactical options. There is a reason why 1 vs many stories where the 1 guy wins is so incredibly rare. And why there aren't real john wicks taking down entire gangs singlehandedly in gun and hand to hand fighting. At that point, calling it tactics is barely the correct term to throw around. At that point, it's just being a very good fighter pilot. Having great situational awareness at all times, being highly skilled in NOE flying, setting up ambushes and being able to accurately predict other player movments when you or AWACS do not have eyes on enemies, getting into the correct flows against your opponents, being able to consistently defeat 120s, R77s, ETs, ERs and 9Xs like they're nothing, killing your opponents quickly, not making any critical mistakes in BVR or WVR and flying the aircraft like it's just an extension of your body, never getting wing rock out of control, never stalling or over Ging the aircraft or otherwise departing controlled flight. At this point, you might as well practice till you can take off, AAR, fight and land in your sleep. Forget about tactics.

It worked once, right after the cleanup then that error window started popping up again since.

Would be nice if ground AI could also use them like real assets, instead of just eyecandy. Or having to directly order them to use said prepared fortifications like modern barbed wire, trenches and foxholes. Or hey, even use craters that came from bomb and artillery impacts.

And I mean like, no moon + thick cloud layers. I managed to do it by really cranking up the NVG gain but once I'm in close, its very difficult to stay in position due to the glare of the tanker's formation lights and the poor resolution + dim outline of the tanker through the NVGs. Tried to take them off, but the formation lights did not illuminate enough of the tanker to get an effective reference. Just wanted to see if anyone else did something differently or has a tip i'm not aware of.

In DCS, if you ripple off multiple ASM against the side of a large ship, the missiles seem to have a tendency to home in and hit the same dead middle point, often just hitting the same section of the ship multiple times. Do RL missiles do the same?

I have an axis on my hotas bound for the flaps for pilot and the radar elevation for RIO. So sometimes when I join the backseat, that axis is in the middle and not forwards (forwards = flaps full up for pilot, radar elevation full up in RIO). When I join as a RIO, the flaps deploy for the person in the pilots seat because the axis is again, in the middle of the axis and not full forward. This always causes the flaps to jam immediately since the pilot is usually going 300 kts or faster. I unbounded the flaps axis and it does seem to solve it for when I join the RIO but it is annoying to have to bind and unbind that axis every time I switch seats and sometimes I forget, causing the flaps to jam when I RIO. I've been getting this for a while now, a little bit before 2.7 got launched. It never outright prevented me from playing DCS, so I never paid it that much concern but now I'm kind of doing the rounds to see why this window keeps popping up whenever I start DCS.

So wanted to ask HB if they plan on fixing the issue where in MP, when the RIO joins a pilot that has already spawned in with the F14, the RIO will have the wings in their 68 degree configuration, while the pilot will see their wings swept all the way back. This is usually not an issue, but on the supercarrier, it causes all sorts of trouble like damaging other spawning players or blocking spawn points, or damaging other players as they taxi, even in the wide spaces of land-based runways. Would it be difficult if HB could automatically make RIO's wingsweep default to emergency sweep when they initially spawned in? This bug has been mentioned a few times but I never saw a response. But the growing number of instances where we accidently ruin someone elses day due to this bug is continuing to grow.

... aircraft when there are other contrasting objects behind them? Since the TCS locks onto contrasts, why doesn't it ever lose a lock when the contact has the ground behind them? Wouldn't a bus or a ship or something behind the aircraft possibly cause the TCS to lock onto the background clutter instead simply because it might contrast more than the tgt itself? Is the TCS lock really this unbreakable IRL? Edit: Now that I think about it, the TCS will often lock onto a missile I fired at a hostile, so I guess the DCS TCS does break lock, but it's the only instance I know of.

Is there a focus setting on the NVG that I'm not seeing? I can't make our the cockpit instruments on the dashboard in front of me, they're always blurry.

Is there a setting in the autopilot that allows smoother input of the control surfaces? Cause I'm trying to use it during formation flying but control inputs are a bit 'sudden' when using them with AP on.

I noticed yesterday that as more servers are loaded into the lobby, the FPS in the menu drops significantly, eventually becoming a 1 frame per second nightmare before freezing. Has anyone else experienced this?

Has anyone else also mistaken a ejected pilot in his chute as a mig or Hornet and only realise too late what it really is before your opponent kills you? It might be different on screen, I use Index VR, but I feel that the LOD on the Chutes are so low, even when you are fairly close, that it constantly seems like a contact 5-10 miles away. I don't know at what distance the average fighter/attack pilot can differentiate a parachute from an airplane but it seems a little too easy to spot and misidentify parachutes RN.

So I RIO online often and use SRS to communicate so my old Saitek pedals with toebrakes work fine. But trying to switch to the T-rudders, I'm not able to use SRS because there are no toe brakes. I did hear that you are able to use virtual toe brakes? How do I set this up and are you able to use SRS with these virtual toe brakes? (Left pedal for Intercom, Right pedal for selected radio.) I tried using T-link but for some reason, it's saying it's disconnected, (when it isn't. It's connected to a Blackbox V2 along with the MCG pro that I have (no twist)

So for missiles like the harpoon, or even A/A missiles and SAM missiles, do they have some sort of safe guard against flying through debris? Watching missiles get rippled off and watching 10-20 anti-ship missiles attack a group, it made me wonder if an exploding harpoon could accidently set off another harpoon behind it, either through the Shockwave of the warhead going off or by throwing so much debris into the air that the following missiles' fuses trip cause it hit a piece of debris before hitting the target, either decreasing or neutralizing its effectiveness. If there are safeguards, is it true for all missiles like SAM and AA?

For me I now cannot play any instant action and many of the single missions for the f-14 after the recent update. It crashes on wait for pooled tasks - 2
