I wonder if trigger pull is being counted as one press and trigger release is being counted as another press. Can you pull the trigger and hold for a few seconds to see if only 1 sidewinder comes off, then release the trigger to see if the other sidewinder comes off as well?

No F-14 changes in the 2.7.1.6430 OpenBeta update?

Yes, though I believe it is an exported version of the model? So less capabilities than the ones used by the USSR/Russia.

I'd like to add that destructive environments such as flattening trees with daisy cutters and burning/propagating forest fires from Napalm or defoliate from agent orange is a must have for a Vietnam war era map. Not sure if ED is working on anything that can do that.

So I have an 8gb Vega 64 card, 3700X Ryzen and 32GB of RAM, on windows 10. That should be enough but I'm still getting a lot of lag and CTD since 2.7. I'm wondering if this setup is no good or something is not being supported or something or other is causing an issue.
-
Is anyone else experiencing an uptick in instances of CTD?

is the custom stick 2 stage trigger as well?

Not sure if this is a 'thing', but I got to thinking. We all basically use the same setup despite how different the setup of the modules are (using a center stick regardless of F-14 or F-16) and of course, chances are the ergonomics are off at least by a little bit and because these are not actually moving control surfaces, the resistance and behavior of the stick may be different in RL, and because there's no G forces or turbulence being acted upon your control surfaces, your stick is most likely not providing accurate force feedback, even if you are using one. That being said, what can you do to improve how the stick feels for every modules using the curve settings, etc, in DCS or your 3rd party software for your Virpils or VKBs? Is it even possible to get ballpark recreation accuracy for the modules you fly? Like is the F5 that sensitive to its elevators with a default curve with a VKB attached with a long extension? Stuff like that.

Is there an intercom Mic hot switch? I'm using SRS and finding that the mic is always on for some reason.

Srs Intercom 2 stage trigger
WelshZeCorgi replied to WelshZeCorgi's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Using the VKB stick, MCG grip. I know that the stick itself isn't the problem, cause I was able to engage the PAC-1 after firing with the second trigger on the A10. And I think selecting radio select works as PTT causes some odd things to happen, like not being able to cue up any of the radios selected at all. -
So if you have a 2 stage trigger and you pull the second stage (cueing up the radio) then went down to the 1st stage (to cue up the intercom) the Intercom does not work. This is because in DCS, instead of the trigger going from second stage to first stage, it goes back to undressed. I verified this by looking at the ingame cyclic trigger and watched it go from 2nd stage to unpressed when I went from 2nd stage to 1st stage on my RL stick.

Radar detection trigger in mission editor
WelshZeCorgi replied to Black6's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Wait, it's tied to the AI wingman's RWR? Cause AI wingmen can do some crazy shit, pop up and get detected while your own plane is doing NOE flying just fine. I want to do something similar except with clients in coop multiplayer.- 23 replies

How does the RL carrier coordinate bow and waist cat shots, and could we get something that would allow us to coordinate cat shots?
-
Did you set both 1st stage and 2nd stage to firing the sidewinders?

So I'm trying to make a mission where Multicrewed Hueys (coop-multiplayer) are guided to the target by a radio beacon set by a Humvee, but I can't get it to work. I moved the Humvee next to my hot start spawn in the mission and couldn't pick up any signal I ordered the Humvee to emit. I tried looking up guides and tried a few but none worked. What am I doing wrong? I'm trying VOR and ILS, as I've been told that ADF is not working.

Does this happen to you? I center the VR headset view, play for a few minutes, then have to recenter the headset view, then play with the recenter a few times because it always felt like a little to left or right and if it really gets bad, I have to hit the recenter headset view multiple times per hour. It never seems like the view is actually 100% naturally centered.

I tried G1 and Index about the same time. Had to go with the Index, hands down. I found it easier to keep a bogey in sight during dogfights due to the better resolution outside the sweet spot. It was frustrating dogfighting in the G1, either cause I lost sight of it, or because it drifted too far outside the sweet spot and I lost it in the ground clutter even when it was basically still near the middle of the headset view. And when I did win, I would wake up the next morning with neck pain, cause of all the yoga moves I had to pull in order to keep the bogey in the sweet spot. I do wish the Index had better resolution but I can always estimate the gauges, but can't really estimate what a human player will do in a dogfight.

Wow, for prototypes, they're pretty damn good looking ones.

Ah, very good explanation, I see. Also, would the discovery of room temperature superconductor materials solve the heating issues the railgun projects have, thus finally making railguns able to fire many times before needing to replace the barrel or do superconductors not even have anything to do with railgun mechanics?

Gun-turret... nothing else... just a gun-turret... no turret - no buy :-)
WelshZeCorgi replied to -Mop-'s topic in Wish List
You heard'em boys, give 'em that big, thicc D. I am obviously talking about the hind D. -
So because of the rails? Would shaping the rails to fit a cylindrical projectile not work?
-
Why did they make the railgun square?
-
Ok, but why are they still squarish? Abram tank guns fire discarding sabot and it's not square.
-
Don't know why, but looking at it gives me the heebie jeebies...
-
Why do some of the projectiles fired from railguns look so... un-aerodynamic? Some look like a miniature square pillar while others look like they stole it from some plumber's tool kit.
