  1. DCS.. the creme de la creme of combat flight sim DCS just absolutely rocks on many many layers! And I think we're all so lucky to have something as incredible as this to enjoy & to keep on enjoying into the future.

    Shifty JTAC

    Good hits!
  3. Totally luving my new Super Carrier! Caught the wire safely on first attempt even tho kept hearing.. "your high your high" lol And already mapped the Salute & Call the Ball to a couple of buttons on my Hotas. And printed more updated Docs from SC Manual. Thank you big time ED & also for the discount on this one & I can see it's going to be the gift that keeps on givin! I'm one happy camper!
  4. Hey good folks. a little embarrassed asking here but never added a Campaign before so I just thought after downloaded & added to my Local Disk © >Users >My Name > Saved Games >DCS openbeta > Missions >Campaigns but nothing there? And tried a few other things too but nada, zip.. Where am I going wrong? Issue resolved thanks to awesome Gierasimov
  5. AMPCD is good enough for me Why poo poo on poor ole AMPCD all of a sudden? It's a good tool man. I use it all the time for WPDSG & WP Nav. I Just turn the brightness way down to just before it turns off then crank everything else up full.. SYM, CNT etc. Anyway, I like it. :)
  6. Nice one! Wow! This is very cool, thank you Kaba!
  7. Close Range AMRAAM Mig Splash NTTR Map Couldn't believe how close this Mig was when I nailed him :)
  8. Hey good people, Not sure if this has been reported and I apologize if so. I like using the DCS World Encyclopedia for checking stuff and referencing but was there a few mins ago needing to check an AC and was near blinded by white out from the images. This was never like this previously. Please hoping ED can look into this one. Cheers Gaz :)
  9. Which is easier to learn.. Viper or Hornet? Cool, that's a relief. Thanks for the heads-up Buzz
  10. Hey all good folks, well, I'm excited! Just bought the awesome & kindly discounted F-16C Viper. I haven't even seen or tinkered with it yet but I'm totally excited about learning a new AC. I'm only just now browsing the Early Access Guide & man it looks a little scary & different compared to my Hornet but I think this will be a great AC to fly & one that'll give hours of cool mission flights in the future. Now diving head first into Wags efficacious YT Viper guide vids! Thanks ED for the half price sale, much appreciated. Gaz
  11. Thanks Qui
  12. Hey all, firstly sorry if this has already been answered. I just wish to know how far away is a fully complete version of the F/A-18C DCS Manual? Just curious here and call me old school but I would probably get that printed. I would like a hard copy. :book:
  13. No issues here Earlier today I started in a DCS stock Cold start mission on Stennis from Bow Cat 1. All worked fine for me, no issues.
  14. Just perusing through the new DCS World 2020 manual and I must say it absolutely freakin rocks! So much juicy fresh overhauled content.. from mission editing to a cool little trigger mission newby builders can try their hand at and even flight formations! I was so impressed with content and level of detail ED has put into this. I'm still looking through it but definitely a 10/10 from me, it's been quite a while coming and very well worth the wait. This is a beautiful little manual and if completely finished I would be tempted to convert this to a hard copy. Awesome effort ED and all who contributed.
  15. Air & hots starts have their place too I agree with you man, there's a place and time for them. Like if I'm practicing my AAR then I'll plonk myself a few miles mid air right behind my Tanker, I figure I just want to get into it. Overall though I do prefer Cold starts, adds to whole immersion thing and kinda feels good knowing what your doing and getting it right. And sorry off topic but hey Reflected your Location.. haha I was at Ulus back in 81 when there was just one little old lady in a Hut up on the hill selling jaffels heh.. never been back since :)
  16. Dam I just love my Hornet! :)
  17. Glad it's reported at least Thanks Gierasimov. I did search for this issue here but obviously not good enough. Well as long as it's reported then, I'll remove my clip from my YT ch. If it's in the pipeline, that'll do me. Cheers thanks man
  18. Hey there awesome folks. I apologise if this weird one has already been reported but it seems my AI AC in my ME doesn't like staying in the Random setting after I exit the game and return. It's a little weird because some AC stay in the Random setting and when I exit the game return they switch to High setting and some don't. Ok so, I have two AI enemy AC in my mission, one is a SU27 Flanker and the other a Mig29S and when I set them both to Random Skill Level they are AOK with this when exiting the ME and returning to it but when I actually exit the whole game and return to my ME one has revert to a High Skill setting and sometimes the opposite will happen ie: the other AC will switch to High setting and the other will stay in Random. It's all very strange and my clip I recorded will explain it more easier. Hey it's no massive big deal but I thought I would raise it and hoping it could be checked out. Cheers GA  P.S I posted it on my YT channel and I will remove it soon as BIGNEWY or some one else checks it out and Reports it. https://youtu.be/4FYs0NV0gpw
  19. I don't think that feature exists my friend.. You may be thinking of the A-10C amigo, which does give you the ability to switch between screens with one command. The Hornet's left and right DDI are identical to each other in Push Button functions and display. And all it takes to view what display you wish to see on either is to press the corresponding Button relative to that command. EG: Lets say you want to view your Fuel consumption on your left DDI, so you would select the correct PB on that DDI to view that and then on your right DDI you want to see your Radar Attack screen or maybe your HSI, so you would select that corresponding PB. Ok, now you change your mind and wish the views the other way around.. so you just simply repeat the process by pushing the buttons for the particular display you want to see on the DDI you want. I don't think there is any command to swap screens. Cheers GA
  20. We moan & groan about issues & problems & get frustrated & what not. So I personally want to 180 on this & thank all involved with trying to correct things with updates & patches. It mustn't be easy to keep up with the constant barrage of us needy DCS ers. So, here's to you all that help in making us have fun & enjoy flying our awesome AC and building our magical missions. Cheers to you ED & everyone at support crew. I thank you guys
  21. Ok cool, thanks
  22. Please clarify Hey thanks but I’m a little confused here. At 2, 7, 0 I thought was the magnetic bearing. So this number is the speed in knots?
  23. A workaround perhaps.. I've been too busy to scratch myself lately so my good friend Gierasimov had a look at this and sent me this mesg.. "Stennis is absolutely fine as long as you and AI are not TAKE OFF FROM RUNWAY at the same time. So to have AI flight take off and then you, workaround is to have either AI or yourself TAKEOFF FROM RAMP (HOT or COLD)" Just thought I would post it and I will try it when I get hm from wk tonight/morn
  24. Haven’t heard it yet.. Hmm that’s funny, I did an AAR the other night one day after the Update and didn’t hear Texaco call any speed or heard any speed called in the past. I created this mission so does that matter? And was a Race Track Orbit. Would be a nice addition though.
