7rooper is right, you need to countersink the led's and resistor in white acrylic or else you need a spacer. Putting them directly together is not a good idea.

This is funny, translating "AJ" to "ouch" Perhaps the "J" was in smaller not capital letter that confused the translation engine?

I belived the saying was "vertrauen is gut kontrolle ist besser" ;)

Not sure what LNS is giving us, but here's what is available with the AJS upgrade version of the Viggen. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2606347&postcount=610 http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2606358&postcount=611 http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2606365&postcount=612

Thanks, some nice sequences with the radar in action.

Hi What happens is that the red and green lights are lit at the same time. The green are properly lit when the gear is fully extended. But the gear up indicators are inverted. At first I believed this was a bug in the DCS-Bios software (and it is reported in their bug tracker), but since it is the exact same behavior in HawgTouch it seems that there is a bug in the export from the module. Can it be that the HT and DCS-Bios is using the same export script, and then having the problem in the script, not the actual export data? Anyone that could have a look at this?

I wasn't arguing with your statement, more of elaborating in the same direction. This would have been so much easier if we had a Swedish sub-forum ;)

Yes, the build and alignment process is something that I don't like. Not that I don't think I'm gonna make it - just that as my second child is about to arrive in a month or so, the time available for hobbies is limited. So I am currently looking for pre-built machines. But, the ones like this has some upsides, with a large community and many upgrades available. Need to give it some more thought. And it is depending on that bouns I'm hoping for ;)

Yeah, even though the radar is locked, that doesn't help much if the missile head is IR. With the technology at hand back then I don't think there was any way to slew this radar information to the missile? Still, the pilot would get a lot better situational awerness with the radar information.

Is that the Velleman K8400? Do you like it or not? I'm about to buy a 3D printer myself but can't decide for which model to chose.

I would say that it better mimics the real life instrument after this update.

According to all information I have seen these pylons where hardwired for the RB-28. So that is why they where unused until the AJS upgrade.

Sorry, life got in the way so I didn't get any time for this yesterday.

I got so excited that I had to do a new random youtube Viggen video search :) [ame] [/ame]

Awesome! Do you have access to any automatic document scanner?

On the hunt for a cougar handle pcb

Anyone got any pics of it? Is it a complex design, or could it be reverse engineered? -
Thanks. Didn't know that you could change the pre-selected pods

I feel utterly stupid right now, but I can't find any way to add the RATO pods in the mission editor. What am I doing wrong? Probably something obvious...

I had some issues myself yesterday, when I tried to get the new version up and running. First, I forgot to activate the gauge dll, so I had nog guages displayed at all. Kind of stupid error that I can't blame HT. Then I had some struggle getting the export working and eventually I only had partial success with only a few instruments updating. This is a tip from the developers: Check the tab “general” in the properties from HawgTouch.exe and HawgTouch.GaugePack.dll. If there is the option “activate on this computer” in the field “attributes” you have to activate this! Tonight I will try (for test purposes only) to install the old version again just. If that fires up I can send you the exact files I use and we can try if that will be succesful for you or not. Unless any of the SDA guys have any better ideas or input before that.

HawgTouch MIG-21 issues
BravoYankee4 replied to BravoYankee4's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Ok, I have been messing around with this a couple of hours now. First, I forgot about activating the gauge dll, so that explained why I didn't have any gauges visible  Then I had a lot of problems getting the export up and running, eventually I had HT partly working. Only a few instruments were active. EGT was, engine RPM not and so on. Then I tried Ikarus, and that is working fine now with the exports, but it still has the bugs with NPP, KPP and brake pressure as reported previously. However I do like the Ikarus gui with all the improvements and possibilities. -
It's popcorn time :megalol:

I read somewhere that there are two different warheads for the rockets - HE and some more or less AP. Need to find that source again though... There are illumination bombs also.

HawgTouch MIG-21 issues
BravoYankee4 replied to BravoYankee4's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Just tried the new version (http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2655078&postcount=16) but now there are no gauges at all (just a blank black screen). I am running it as an administrator as before. I copied the files to a separate folder (renamed the old one), and if I run the old exe it fires up just fine with all gauges. Anyone else with this problem? -

It is about software (HawgTouch) that displays the aircraft gauges and instruments on a second monitor. Great for cockpit builders, but also for everyone that want to look at the instruments without zooming and panning in and out all the time. I have a 3 (19") +1 (27") monitors and below is a screenshot of the view I have when I fly.
