Hi Commie, don´t worry, I understand you. You and everyone else are welcome to bring some research or ask for proof regarding anything we do. I have a good set of data (including photos) of the MiG-23 use during the Afghan war. There´re indeed some MLA being used there, but the images are from weird angles, that doesn´t allow to see the racks or SPO anntenas. But, there´re at leats three UB variants that clearly had the CM mounted. So in this case, I do not expect a mixed esquadron with CM on MLDs and UBs and not on MLAs. That´s somehow a logical supposition. Second, I´m in the process of confirming if some MLAs were indeed updated with the avionics.

You can dogfight the F-5E no problem, just not in the horizontal, or at least not in a sustained turn fight.

As far as a I know, two Iranian F-14s were downed by Iraqi MiG-23MLs during the Irak-Iran war.

Very good! and with sound signals too. But I´m afraid that it´s only rear aspect. Keep in mind that the aircraft started operation in 1956. Missiles and radars were not a big threat yet, radar-rangefinders were.

I´m afraid this is wrong, most of the regular service types were standard on all services, with the same specifications. They received service updates (factory or field ones) as in any other country. Most of the differences are noticed by the series number, or a letter, like MIG-21Bis A, K, etc. But in any of this series there were hundreds of aircraft with the same parts and they were interchangeable no problem. The MIG-23MLA will have an SPO-15 and the ability to mount ECM dispensers as many have them late in service life. Then, there will be an original one with SPO-10. No R-73 though.

This again, serioulsy?:D The model you´re seeing is not the one you´re going to get. Brand new 3d models for both cockpit and aircraft.

That´s just a placeholder pilot. A new more detailed one is in the making.

There are variations, some aircraft have them brown, some have them black.

The radar will have the hood/glare shield to be used during the day, just maybe not as cumbersome as the original one. These are just work in progress pics.

To have the sight cam in cockpit is perfectly acurrate. The only MiG-19s that I see without them are factory test aircraft. Almost all pictures I can find of MiG-19Ps in service, have the sight cam installed. All the museum aircraft I have seen also have them installed. But I don´t see any problem with making it removable.

WIP cockpit in game.

Since I´m concentrating on MiG-19P, which does not employ these weapons, I can´t talk about this right now. I would ask Foxbat155 about this, he knows a lot about old MiGs.
